Only stayed 2 nights with our small TT; mid Nov so not real busy; very nice and helpful staff (managers or owners??). Entrance looks like a slum but our site was clean and level; sites not very big but since we had only 1 neighbor it didn't matter much. The pet area is really just the desert outside the sturdy chain-link fence but we could walk our dogs as far or near as we wanted. WASHING MACHINES are $1.75-old style-they fill right to the top with water; dryers are ~ $1.75 for 72 minutes!! which I think is a good deal. The POOL water appeared clean but green stuff around the edges of the cement-- I probably wouldn't have gone in even if it was warmer--not inviting at all. Women's RESTROOM /SHOWER were separate (locked bathrooms-just 2) They were fairly old, but clean. Again, very friendly and helpful folks the 2 days we were there mid-November 2018. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

The managers were very helpful. We stayed three nights here and loved it. We even had the help of folks getting out of the park as well. I really did like this park it was close enough to Hwy 10 to give you access to the city but far enough that you didn't hear any of the hwy noises. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Have stayed before and came back. Park is under new management. It is not the happy friendly place of the past. Most of our friends that return every year had already left because of the unprofessionalism of how the park is now run. Management involves themselves in Loud and profane Public conflict with patrons. They have several noisy dogs that are allowed to disturb residents. We hadn't been into it a week and had a note on our door stating that it is resident responsibility to get rid of the existing weeds. Children are allowed to run freely and unattended through the park and tamper with residents belongings. WiFi was so weak it was unusable. Gravel sites are close together. Facilities rundown and unkempt . The dog area is not picked up or clean and was full of trash. The Receipt of Payment seemed sketchy. It said balance due and had the amount we just paid as still owing. The stay was so disappointing that we left much sooner than we wanted to. We will not stay at tratel again. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Here is the problem that we had with this park. Restrooms to us were somewhat clean, but instead of having a door for each stall, you had a curtain, not good. Most of the sites are 30 amp and not really that good. They parked rigs in areas to me that are not safe, like on the exit roads. We had a bit of a problem getting out, due to the way they were parking these people. We really didn't have hardly any room for sitting outside. No, we will never go back to that park.

Do your home work, before you go to these places. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped for a quick overnight. Found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, however the park was very tight for our 34' 5th wheel. Interior roads and turns very tight. Space was a pull thru, but not long enough to remain hooked up overnight. Had to unhook and then not much room to park truck alongside RV. Nice place to stay if you have a smaller RV. The rate is a monthly rate, with electric added in. I stayed at this park for one reason - to be able to access the bike trail that runs through Tucson. I didn't expect to enjoy the park much, as it is a bare bones park without any landscaping or greenery. As it turns out, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The people who run it are super friendly and very concerned with keeping people happy. There were a few full time residents who were very friendly as well. The park is a great value at the monthly rate. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Motorhome.

This little gem of a park is FABULOUS! Easy access to I-10 without the noise. Sites are big. The staff is very friendly. The park is clean. Close to downtown. I moved here after having a nightmare experience at another park and it was the best move I've made when it comes to RV parks. Very affordable. Great views. The bicycle and walking trail is only a 2-minute walk away. There is a beautiful wildlife viewing park about 2 miles down the road that is great for bird watching. This place is pet friendly and there are no hidden fees like at some other places. I recommend this place to anyone looking for quiet and clean. This park is very old.. the pool is falling apart. The have 2 manager. The assistant manager was amazing. But the main guys was awful. The manager has no clue to how to run a park. At 8:00 they are at the pool to lock it up and if you are in there they stand at the gate saying "come on,let's go"with hand on hip as if you were a child. Not pet friendly. The place was a nightmare, I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is an older quaint RV park with a few park models along one side of the park. While we were there, they were in the process of the "changing of the guards" to new management and assistant management. The transition went very smoothly and the new management worked very hard to help the campers with issues while learning a new job with a smile on their face and a pleasant personality. They even delivered a package to our trailer that arrived late in the day that we had been anxiously awaiting.

Our site and our view was open desert property that was used as a dog walk by those with dogs. Everyone picked up their dogs droppings if the dog didn't make it to dog walk area and all dog owners used leashes. Lots of dogs, but very responsible owners. Water, sewer, and electricity worked fine for our trailer. Over the air TV stations came in fine, unless you had a Big Rig come in next to you, then stations became pixelated until the Big Rig moved.

The clothes washers worked and I particularly liked having clothes lines to hang up the clothes in the Arizona sunshine. They have a small library that my husband, being a voracious reader, enjoyed. The people we met were very friendly and you always found someone to have a short conversation with when going for an evening walk. We stayed here for a month and would visit again, if our travels bring us to Tucson again. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is a small park and is overwhelmed by winter visitors. The utilities did not handle all the traffic. For the first two weeks I did not have enough power to run my microwave. As visitors left and I was moved to a 50A site, the power improved to adequate, barely. This is probably the lowest priced park in Tucson and it is obvious no money is put back into the park.

The rate listed here is based on a monthly rate incl. electricity. Management is very nice and tries to be as helpful as possible with what they have to offer.

Surprisingly, the traffic noise from the nearby I-10 freeway was not an issue. Just so you know, this park is located in the northern section of Tucson and a long way from the Fairgrounds where most of the special activities like rallies occur. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Located in the Northern part of Tucson, you are close to the two major attractions, Tohono Chul Park and the Tucson Botanical Gardens. If you need to get your hair done, see Brenda at Cut Above, close by on Oracle. The biggest Farmer's Market in Tucson is nearby at Rillito Racetrace on Saturday and Sunday. A must-see is the Mini-Time Machine, A Museum of Miniatures located in the northern area.

We stayed here 5 months for winter. We chose this RV Park for location and price. We found the people that run the park to be friendly and helpful. This is an older park and it is not what I call "big rig friendly"; the sites are generally small with little room for parking. There are quite a few full-time residents and most of them seem to have dogs which leads to a noise problem if you are not a "dog person". Also, there is a problem with the water where there is quite a lot of air in it. This air comes out in your faucets when you use the water in your unit. Tucson does have a great bike trail, called "the loop", which can be accessed right behind the RV Park. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

My wife and I love this park. We've been coming here for a month twice a year (Spring and Fall) for 20 years and, God willing, will come again for another 20 years. The rates are very reasonable, the people are extremely friendly and helpful, and the showers, restrooms and laundry are always clean. Easy access to/from I-10 at Prince Rd now that the highway construction has moved on. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects the Passport America discount. Campground was clear of weeds etc. Gravel roads and spaces with a picnic table. Registration staff friendly and helpful. We were escorted to our site. Did not use laundry, pool, wash rooms. Park is within a short drive to Tucson Mall and many major chain restaurants. My only concern was the 108 degree temperature and low electrical voltage, could only run one AC unit. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate was for Passport America. Okay park, a two night stay to get caught up on shopping and laundry. Managers were friendly and helpful. We had one of the first sites as you pull into park. Site was level gravel, but not a lot of room between sites. Wife was okay with laundry, but wished it would have had AC, with the high temps. The temperature was in the high 90's, so we ran both AC's a lot and voltage was steady. Would probably stay here again. We camped at Tra-Tel Tucson RV Park in a Motorhome.
