We are permanent campers here for the last 5/6 years and have seen many changes over the years. The park manager now is wonderful. They have increased security so past issues will not happen now. The golf course is being looked after much better also. Cocopah is on native grounds and because of this many purchases are tax free. The staff and residents are extremely friendly and many activities are available for all. Weekend dances are on during most of the season. Over all there is not another place I would rather be for our winter vacation! We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

There are a lot of RV park choices in the Yuma area so not real sure how this park compares to most. We did like that it was isolated from all the other parks and a bit out of town so it was very quite and peaceful. It is surrounded by farms and just across the broader. The park is mostly snow birds owning park models. Very friendly folks and park staff. There is a large section of RV's which is separate from most of the park models. Nothing too exciting in the RV section, just gravel spots and no landscaping or shade. There is a nice golf course winding through the park and it seems everybody used it. They have numerous activities and events going on all the time so you can stay entertained, which was good for us as there was not a whole lot to do in the Yuma area that interested us. No cable TV, but the Wifi worked reasonably well. The dog park is really different from any we have seen in our travels. It is about 2 acres of grass and NO fences. Nearly everybody unleashes their dogs, despite park leach rules, and the dogs fly around the park and amazingly most stay in the 2 acre boundary. If we came to Yuma again we would stay here. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We arrived on a Saturday and there was no one at the guard shack for entry so we drove on by. We get to the office and it was closed. When we made the reservations, they did not tell us that the office was closed on weekends. I tried all the posted numbers on the door. No one would answer any number, not even security. I happened to look at my confirmation email and it had our site number on it. We unhooked and drove our Jeep to the site to scope it out. To say the roads are narrow would be too much of an understatement. They also are one way and they have allowed people to build rock walls on their sites all the way to the edge of the street. This meant we could not turn on most of the streets because we are 40' long. As we were driving to our site, we happened to see Security. He was shocked that we had gained entry to the park without him knowing but he was no where around when we pulled in. He was also astounded to find out that we had called and called his number and he never answered. It also stated that the voice mail on the security line had never been set up so we couldn't even leave a message. He "escorted" us to our site but he had no idea what he was doing and just watched us back in and left. Our site was super hard to back into due to the park model across the street and the one way direction of the street was opposite of the angled sites. There would have been no way we could have got in the site if there had been any RVs in any of the other sites. The dog park and the few residents we met are the only redeeming qualities about this park. Due to the super narrow streets, super tight sites and bad communication of office and security personnel, we will never stay here again. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

this is a GOLF RESORT if you are not a golfer do not stay here. We were not told the pool would be closed, and there was going to be a golf tournament... asked for a screen behind the motorhome which was installed the golfers still managed to hit the motorhome. Went to talk to the office and it is closed Sat. and Sun. needless to say. we will not be back. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Passport America makes this a great deal. We arrived in low season so had our pick of sites. We were put at the edge of one of the greens. I can see the concern of golf balls hitting the RV, given that most of the houses beside the greens have protective screens over their windows. However, the only other options are a large gravel lot in the 'pet friendly' area. Though you can hear the freeway across the river, it's a faint roar and it's nice to have green spaces around one. Much nicer than many of the RV parks right in Yuma. Check in staff and grounds staff incredibly friendly. Showers immaculate. Nice pool area. Pleasant walking about the resort. Cell reception is sketchy. No wi fi offered. We spent three nights here. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

If you expect a Resort, don't stay here. Cable TV is being eliminated. WiFi is unusable. Weeds are growing everywhere. The whole place has a run down and shabby appearance. The "restaurant" is little more than a snack bar and not a very good one at that. The golf course is convenient but poorly maintained. The water quality is as bad as it gets. To buy anything in the golf shop you need to spend 2-3 times what it costs anywhere else. Those who stay there for more than a short time and very unhappy with the management. Very big but nice park. Nice golf course. Gravel sites with concrete patio. Plenty of space. It is a little out of the way (lengthy) to get in and out of the park which became a bit inconvenient. The park was quiet, clean and we enjoyed our stay. The price was high considering you get no WIFI. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The worst from the standpoint of the staff: to start they put us in a site then after we're set up they move us to a site where they are doing construction when there were at least 50 empty sites. The staff has no idea what is going on in the park; they tell us the restaurant is open till 9 and it closed at 2, really it's a golf course. You have to buy a five dollar card for the laundry and then add money to it. This place is a ripoff oh and no WiFi and gravel sites.Getting here was a nightmare also. Overall Rating:

I decided to stay here due to the less expensive RV parks in the Yuma area being closed for the season. Visiting family, and they are on the west side of town, so this seemed to be just about the only place near-ish by that was even open.

Pros: Open year 'round and not age restricted. Full hook ups. (Not necessary for me, I would have been happy with enough electricity to run the AC.) Very empty right now, easy to get a space. Quiet.

Cons: Expensive if you don't golf. $40/night. When other less expensive parks aren't open, it's hard to pick and choose. Electric posts, water connections, and sewer connections are not laid out well. If you have a long rig and your city and sewer connections are in the middle or towards the front, this won't work out well for you.

Their one way street system is laid out wrong for how they ask you to park in the spaces. Other park "residents" don't seem friendly (of course I could be wrong).

This is a good place to get some rest before jumping into SoCal, which is also what I'm using it for. I just think it's a little expensive for what you get. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

If you don't golf, and other options are available that may be cheaper, try to find them. In May, I couldn't, on the west side of town.

Great snow bird park with lots of activities, golf course and pool. Also onsite restaurant and canteena. Everyone very friendly and it appeared most folks come every year and spend the season. We didn't find much to do in the Yuma area however, a day or two and you have seen everything. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park but just didn't get that feel of friendliness. Most of the people were long term (5-6) months and seemed to 'hang' together. We picked this park because of the on site golf course but was almost impossible to get a tee time. You had to pretty much join one of the 'leagues' in order to do so but even then many of those spots were filled. We were only staying a month. Loved the restaurant on-site and it was nice having the canteen available. Some form of entertainment every weekend. A lot of park models that were nicely kept. We liked the Yuma area but may try another park next time. Was a bit overpriced. Clean, spacious bathrooms & showers. A lot of activities though. This park is a golfer's dream, if you golf!! The park is very well kept and clean. Service is friendly and cordial. The location is quite far from shopping and groceries. This is a huge park so the dog run was a long way from our site but not bad if you have a golf cart which I rented for 65 per week. Hookups are very inconvenient if you own a 5'er with a rear entrance and if you want to utilize the small concrete patio. Gravel parking. My sewer hookup was 40-50' from my trailer outlet and the water, electric and cable hookups were the same. This forced me to buy an additional 30' of sewer hose, something I was not expecting!! Office would not allow me to back closer to hookups!! Streets between site rows are very narrow so you must be guided in to your site but not out. Lots of seasonal park models here as well. The WIFI was non-existent at our site which forced me on occasion to go to office for signal - very inconvenient in this day and age!! No picnic tables provided. Would not return here with our fifth wheel... We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for the winter, so the rate listed is based on the monthly rate and does not include electricity. This is a 55+ park, with the sites arranged around the 18-hole golf course. The sites are spacious and generally surrounded by permanent park models. The park is quite large and features a very large pool/spa, cantina, restaurant, ballroom, library, the golf course, pickleball and tennis courts. Regular activities are planned during the winter season. Wifi was only available in the common areas, so we got Time Warner cable internet temporarily. Overall the park is very nice, especially for those who enjoy playing golf and participating in group activities. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

If you don't mind trying to find a place that is out of the way, this is the place for you. Golf has to be at the top of your list. Appears the course is good, I am not a golfer have no idea if a good course or otherwise.

The odd thing here though is the streets are so narrow and marked as one way but everyone goes the other way! We were there in a 45' and found the access to this location very much out of the way and then once there the planner was not thinking about anything other than the long term park model resident. Also, if you have a pet you will likely get parked near the entrance, we were placed further toward the back of the park. Coming and going not ideal at all. Corners tight and the streets very narrow. We stayed in site 12, too complicated to be there for only a few nights. The site was fine, nice neighbors. if you show up here without chairs or a table, be prepared these folks don't provide the basics. There is a concrete pad beside your site but if you drive a Class A, the pad is in the wrong place. The step will go onto gravel and then the pad is mid Coach. We camped at Cocopah Bend RV and Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Great park/resort. Escort to the site and knowledgeable assistance getting parked and hooked up. I wish we had had time to try the golf course, it looked to be in great shape. We really enjoyed the pool and spa, but the best feature of the whole place was the huge grassy dog park where there were always lots of dogs to socialize with. Very good laundry, too.
