VERY restrictive pet policy which is not explained at reservation or check-in, in fact buried on page 39 of "rules" book. A lot of seniors RVers would have difficulty with the restrictions, no one shows you where the park is, it is just in the corner and you will need to get a key for the gate, In addition they park short-termers(1 month or less) in a no pet area. There is a no refund policy so you are stuck. Not making the park PET friendly as it would seem when pets box is checked in the summary of offerings of the park. The restrooms and showers are also offered however this area is closed at 9 PM not to open until 8 AM the next morning. This is also the only restroom and shower offering in the park, therefore only part time offering. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Older park, but clean and well-maintained. I can't say the same for the neighborhood in which it is located - pretty seedy. They do lock the gate at night, and advise residents to lock up bikes so they don't "change ownership." Customer service was very friendly and helpful. The office is not always open, but if you call, someone will come very soon. Great laundry room. Wifi available, but only with an antenna - if you don't have one, you will probably have to schlep over to the community center. Very friendly local residents. Walmart neighborhood market right next door. Overnight sites are VERY tight. I was able to get in and get my slide out, but couldn't have opened the awning, both because of trees and the proximity of neighbors. If you have slides on both sides, you will have trouble with some of the sites there. I had to leave my shades drawn for the entire stay, because the windows of the RV next to me were so close. Utilities worked well. An older review mentioned cable; there is no cable provided. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Stayed three nights in pull through site which was very flat and had several shade trees. six sites in this spot by pool/laundry. Check in on Saturday afternoon was easy. Cable connection missing connector but fixed immediately after our arrival. Clean park with good service. we would return for a short stay. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Yuma visitor center is very good. The canals and wetlands have very good trails for running. The huge amount of agriculture in Yuma was a surprise as are the canals that provide water for the vast fields. Lots to learn!

Whenever we go to Yuma, we stay at Friendly Acres. It is not a big, fancy park - it is an older park with quite a few older park models. It is neat and clean, and very friendly. They have pull through sites for daily or up to a week, which are right beside the pool and laundry. These sites are not very wide, but the location of the park is good for access to whatever you might want to do in Yuma. This is a gated RV park, with an access code for after 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly Acres was a nice clean and friendly RV park. We were only there 3 nights to visit with friends, but were treated well on arrival, and others in the park were friendly. We didn't take part in any activities. The laundry was excellent with a nice big clothes line area. The pool was excellent and well used. Location of the park is very convenient to all levels of shopping or restaurants in Yuma. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate based on weekly stay.Very clean washrooms, showers, and laundry. On the negative side, full-time park model residents were not at all friendly, but we did meet a few that were kind/welcoming. Definitely not pet friendly, had to carry our dog to the outside of the park which could be a "not so safe place". No internet at our site so had to go to the main hall to get a connection. We would stay there again just because of the cleanliness of the park. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Not pet friendly, not big rig friendly. Has only 10-12 sites that are hard to leave. Located several miles off the interstate, a mistake. Want to walk your dog? Just carry it, then use the key to get out by the canal, through barbed-wire fences. Security is a big issue. Office may or may not be open. Never again. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one week to do our shopping and get ready to go into Mexico with a caravan of other RVs. It was perfect for this purpose as it was very convenient to shopping (mostly at the Super Wal-Mart and Sam's Club). The laundry facilities were very nice and fairly priced. We were also pleased with their "dog management". As we understand it, dogs have a designated area to be "walked" and can not be walked through the campground. The pool and hot tubs were clean and well heated. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed here for a visit with friends in their RV's. This park is mainly a Mobile Home and Park Model park, but they have 10 spaces allocated for RV's. Pull through spaces: each with their own trash can, but no picnic tables etc. It is a gravel parking located behind the pool, showers, spa's, and large laundry room. The staff guide you to your site and are very nice people in the office. Very helpful and eager to please even for us "transients." This is a 55+ park, but they weren't concerned about our ages for the temperary RV spaces, so assume they accept children also but not sure. The spaces are cramped, especially if you have slideouts and I could not put my awning out. A good temporary place but not a long destination park. I would come back. We camped at Friendly Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
