Aggressive loose dog!! Do Not stay here!! There is a permanent resident with an aggressive dog that chases people on bikes, comes running at you the moment you open the door. Went to talk to management and before I could say anything she said "are you having trouble with Toby (the dog), I'll go talk to him (the owner)." Next 2 days dog is still loose and baking at 3am! We left the next day. Park has really good WiFi, no cable, no amenities and lots of permanent residents. It's an older park with very tight drive ways. You have to get people to move their trucks in order to get out. All gravel, a bit trashy and run down but the people are nice. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Park (55+ Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

No frills park, most snowbirds have left. Park near office for better wifi. Good laundry facilities and drying area. Shower and toilet combined. Basic but clean. Stayed 2 nights. Very quiet. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Park (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Chose this site as it was close to downtown with bike paths all the way. Was allowed to wash my trailer too.

The only reason we stopped here is because they accept PPA. The park is so tight. We had to enter the one-way road around the park. People park all over the place. We had to drive to the compete end of the park to find the office and then we totally blocked the road. There is no where to pull over. All sites are on gravel with a small concert pad. The sites are extremely close, and where we had to park our truck was right next to the neighbor's RV. It is the craziest set up we have ever seen. They advertise 50 amp, but they are all 30. The gal and guy that run the place are very nice. The laundry room has 4 washers and dryers that work great. They have WIFI but we couldn't get it at our site. We will not stay here again. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Park (55+ Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

West side of Yuma, near Winterhaven, on the Colorado River. Passport America & Escapees discount.
The Low Down The entire park is gravel and the spaces are very, very close to each other. Most are winter residents and they are very friendly. Location, location, location! Close to Mexico (Los Algodones 15 min), close to downtown Yuma and on the river! The main bike trail (paved) starts here and goes for miles. The Visitor center is about 2 miles away. There is one shower for men and one for women, clubhouse and laundry facilities. The park has a boat ramp for your small fishing boat or canoe on the Coloraod River.
Mojo Factor The Manager Larry is super nice and laid back. No list of rules for the park, seems to run just fine without them. The park has a full calendar with organized horseshoes, shuffle board, exercise classes, bingo, card games, karaoke, community meals and more! On Tuesday night they have a BBQ and music on the river, lots of fun. Saturdays they serve a full breakfast for $4. All in all, a good mojo factor.
The Dog's Opinion I walked the dogs down to the river which is an open space area. The reason I chose this park is because it's next to a huge City Park/wetlands called Wetlands West, many acres on the Colorado River. There are paths paved and gravel through the park and walking paths (bark covered) down by the river. I rode my bike with the dogs running through trees and bushes. there is also a large grass park across the canal (2 blocks away), with ball fields and large trees. TV signals on antenna: networks & PBS. Cell phone/Wi-Fi? Verizon is good, 3 bars. Wi-Fi from the park is very slow; I was not able to accomplish anything on it.
Across from the park (north)is another RV park, then the Interstate is next to that, so yes, you can hear the interstate. Next door is Riverfront RV Park, and I plan on checking it out next visit. The sites are a little bit bigger and it is right next to the Wetlands West open space park. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our site was somewhat of a makeshift site to accommodate our smaller rig in this unique laid out park. Trailers and motorhomes seem to be haphazardly scattered around a packed gravel access and egress road. Nonetheless, our site was level and worked well for us with good access to hookups. Residents are mostly seasonal/full time with few daily visitors. There are no amenities, but, what the park lacks in accommodations and amenities, it more than makes up for in hospitality. The manager is very helpful and friendly, but unfortunately will be leaving next season. Close to the interstate for easy traveling access. We would stay here again when in Yuma. Conveniently located near a very nice park, the river and such must-see sites as the old Yuma Territorial Prison, the Quartermaster depot and old Yuma.

This park is a mix of permanent residents, seasonal residents and short term visitors. The location is just off Interstate 8, near the Colorado River and railroad tracks on the north side of Yuma. We had no problem with noise from the highway or from trains. It has 30 amp service with gravel driveways and gravel sites with a concrete patio pad. There is a laundry and internet service although the Wi-Fi didn't quite reach to our location. Hidden Cove is not fancy but from the moment you talk to the manager, Larry, and then meet the residents here you will feel as if you are a long awaited friend. Everyone extended a smile, a wave and a warm welcome. We were there during Christmas and they had a terrific pot luck dinner. I'm sure there are more upscale parks in Yuma perhaps with more amenities but you couldn't ask for a more welcoming place than Hidden Cove. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.

This is not a fancy park but if you are into biking, it is right off the bike trail and a beautiful City Park. From the bike trail you can explore a lot of historical old downtown YUMA. We did. People are friendly and kind. After a bit of prompting to the Manager the Wi-Fi performed quite well. The Wi-Fi is very fast as long as the people in charge keep it up and running. We'd stay here again because of the people and the location in YUMA and because this is a PASSPORT AMERICA Park. Thanks to the people who operate the park for being part of Passport America. Old park filled with many RVs that look as old as the park. Most look full time. "Trailer Park" says it all. VERY narrow gravel roads, very small spaces, no pool, spa, landscaping, etc. Wanted $5 deposit for key to use restroom/shower. Didn't use, so don't now about cleanliness/facilities. Have a clubhouse with many functions. Park residents/staff were very friendly. Off leash dogs allowed, and were not picked up after. Beautiful city park a short bike ride away. Rate is for dry camping our too large for the park 40' rig on a beautiful spot on the river. Park is a Passport America member. We camped at Hidden Cove RV Park (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.
