Overall Rating:

We phoned Riverfront RV Park and made a 2-week reservation well in advance of our Jan 23 arrival, knowing this was the busiest time of the year in Yuma, AZ. I made sure ask if they could accommodate a 43ft motorhome. Upon arrival, the lady at the office looked at our reservation card and says," Are you sure that's only 43ft? We don't have any sites large enough and the people on the site I was going to give you decided to stay longer." So, there we were, In Yuma, at their busiest time with no parking site and at the mercy of whatever rates RV parks with available sites wanted to charge. Thanks, Riverfront RV Park - possibly someone will give you a measuring tape for Christmas next year so you can figure out what will and won't fit in your park.

Looking back, this incident may have been good in that had I seen the actual park beforehand I would not have made a reservation here. Most of the sites appeared to be rundown and untidy be long-term residents, packed very closely together, and we would not have felt safe and comfortable here. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a nice park just to the east of the RV park but I would not feel comfortable walking alone in the surrounding neighborhood. Take care approaching the railroad tracks as you approach the park location. The crossing has a high hump that might pose a high-center hazard to long motorhomes.

Overall Rating:

We really enjoyed the walking trails down to the Colorado river - especially taking the dogs. Warm days and cool nights - perfect weather in November. Staff was super-welcoming and all of the residents very friendly. There is some road noise which may bother some, but the park itself is quiet and secluded. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As noted before - WiFi available only at clubhouse. We really enjoyed our stay here. Very relaxing, and we were very, very comfortable with the location. Some say the residential area nearby is a little down-trodden, but (being from New Mexico), we thought it very safe and secure. This was our first trip to Yuma, but definitely not our last. Highly recommended for a get-a-way, although those looking for a full-on 'resort' experience w/ planned activities may be disappointed.

Nice park with cement patio and large trees. Hookups are good. Advertising WIFI is misleading as only available at club house. Electric is .14 per kWh. Laundry has 6 washers and dryers. What puts this park above the rest is bike paths from this park thru beautiful parks and to Old Town, easy ride about 4 miles round trip yo Old Town. Nice ride for lunch with lots is choices...great food. Our first time to Yuma and very impressed with city parks and cleanliness of town. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice smaller park. Level sites, the sewer on our site was difficult to reach since when you are parked, your RV is on top of the sewer. We pulled out to unhook our sewer. The other residents were friendly and there were several scheduled activities. I went into the women's room and found the it dark and in need of an updating. The price for the site was good but you'll have to pay for your electricity. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

I found this park by accident when looking for a reasonable place to stay when my wife and I were going to move from her last Traveling Nurse Job in Las Vegas to her next one in Yuma; we are now in our third winter here. This is an older park, it is clean and quiet. It is close to everything in Yuma. It has access nearby to one of the nicest city parks I have ever been close to, lots of walking and bike trails and very clean and modern, I sailed my RC Sailboat there in their Cement Pond along with other old guys most every day.

This is a park for older people, I believe it is over 55+ only, although I saw some kids come to visit Grandma and Grandpa around the Holidays a couple of times. There are planned activities and communal meals for Holiday Occasions. It is not fancy, but it is very quiet with lots of nice shade trees to keep the trailer cool.

Many of the winter residents have been coming there for years.

The park backs up to the south bank of the Colorado River, across the river to the north is California. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Yuma is only over the canal and you are only a mile or so from from good stores and restaurants. Yuma is easy to get around and has lots of biking trails that are mostly level as they parallel the canals.

Last fall they had a Hot Air Balloon ascent from the Wet Lands City Park next door to the CG.

Spent 5 months at this park. Typical Yuma park with gravel sites. Paved streets and lots of trees. Liked the area. Verizon worked well. Close to shopping and downtown Yuma. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I was very disappointed after the last rating of 10. We checked in then went to dinner before hooking up (no toad). When we came back, I thought it was strange that the trailer next to us was using our water spigot. When I tried the one right next to it, it was stripped, my hose wouldn't go on. Another MH was using the cable TV connection at our site. When I tried to call the office, it was closed, so there was no resolution. You have to pay for showers which I think is terrible, and the showers/bathrooms close at 10:00 p.m. The lady in the office was nice. We needed to be in Yuma another night but chose to go someplace else. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park fits our bill. There is no pool, and we do not use the restroom, that is what the bathroom in the coach is for. We were fortunate to get in for one night. Lots of people come to Yuma in the winter. The lady at the desk could not have been nicer. She had us park and then come in and pay after we were set up. There is some noise from I-8, but if you look around most of the parks here are close to the freeway. Verizon broadband works well. We were able to get all of the local TV stations on our batwing. A man was selling oranges from a truck as we came in. One bag for $2.50. It is a well kept up park, no grass, but RV’s from nearly every state and province. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a well maintained and reasonably priced RV Park. We were somewhat misled when we called ahead and asked what the nightly rate was and did they have cable TV. We were told that they had cable TV, but were not informed that you had to contact the local cable company and arrange a monthly hookup in order to have cable TV. That is nice for those that want to stay a month, however, when we asked for the nightly rate and inquired about cable we should have been informed about the cable arrangements. We would not have gone there had we known all the facts. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park on Colorado river. Lots of "residents". Tight spaces and roads. Nice ambiance. Good birding park right next door. Great Taco stands in town. Pretty good birding in area. We camped at Riverfront RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
