The sites in the older part of the camp are close with several back to back which can be great if traveling with a buddy. The sites in the newer part of the camp are paved, level, and very nice. We used this as just a stop-over but will certainly keep it on our radar whenever passing through.
The staff could not have been more friendly. If you have the America the Beautiful pass they give $3.00 off the regular $15.00 price. - Luna C too

We were in only for one night and didn't unhitch. Out site was level enough to accommodate that, but many others would have required unhitching due to the slope. The new section, the first loop to the left, is where we were and is excellent. The older loops are poorly planned with pull-through accommodating two campers each and utilities split on each side.
Don't use your GPS to get here. It may take you to a closed gate. Follow directions on the website. I got asked if I had a weapon or ammo by the main gate guard. Be prepared for that if you carry. The lake is beautiful. - Tidy Boy

We stayed for 3 nights at this hidden gem in the Northeast corner of Texas. The campground is located way back into the base away from the noise and traffic of this busy Army depot. It is quiet and shady with tall pines and flowering dogwood trees. We enjoyed hearing the forest songbirds after 2 months in Southern Texas.
The 50 amp sites are paved with blacktop but not level as the park is very hilly. 30 amp sites are gravel. There is a lovely dam created lake for fishing and swimming. There was plenty of space for walking and bike riding. There is a very nice playground. Kayaks, sail boats and canoes can be rented. The camp store is very small. Laundry facilities are limited and the dryers did not work very well. They said Wi-Fi was available but we never could connect. - HappiLeeRVing

Very quiet park on Little River above Millwood Lake. Friendly hosts and good fishing. Boat ramp available. Trails to walk on (not clearly marked), fishing is good, lots of wildlife including gators. Site was about 3" low on the river side. Water moving very swiftly. Caught some nice Channel Cats from the bank. - Chetty

Sport courts, picnic shelters and pool equipment not well maintained. Sport courts look as if they have been underwater for quite awhile and never cleaned. Did not use the picnic shelters but they look rough. There were 7 poolside loungers, 6 were broken. The back supports were broken in half on several, it was not apparent and potentially dangerous to an unsuspecting sunbather. The manager said he would address it immediately and that new equipment was on order. This was Memorial Day weekend so the order planning was too late in the season. The broken loungers were still on the pool deck as we departed a week later. - GaHoosier

Part of the Ocean Canyon network which includes Coast to Coast. As members of both, stay was "free" if you don't count the annual fees involved w/ both. They'd gotten something like 4 - 5 inches of rain during the preceding days so some sites were not in the best of shape, i.e. some were under water, some muddy, etc., but overall not too bad. Nice shower and restroom facilities. Friendly, helpful staff person. We don't golf so can't really comment on that aspect of the resort, but everything looked really nice. We would stay again. - the lowdog
Sep 2017 - $5.00
The sites were mixed concrete & grave with nice spacing in between. The wifi was good but we did not have cell phone service (AT&T). The park was very clean & well maintained. Would stay here again. - PLedet
Jul 2019 - $25.00
Really nice overnight stay and staff was awesome! Wish the sewer hookup would have been more affordable, back in site was not drive through. Did not use the restrooms; they needed a good cleaning. Beautiful and secluded but site needed policing for tire hazards as we found screws on ours that we thankfully didn’t drive over. Called ahead to arrive after office hours and paid in the morning. - DeanaB
Apr 2019 - $17.00
Real nice state park with quite a few site to choose from. Not a lot of shaded sites in the loop with the shower house, but all were level. Shower house appears to be newer and very nice. It consists of 4 separate rooms, each with toilet, basin and shower. Very roomy. ATT signal was workable. The campground is right next to the dam and thusly the road going over it so there is highway noise to some degree. We stayed at Millwood SP in a 22' motorhome. - garmp
Oct 2018 - $32.00
This campground was a pleasant surprise. Newly built 2 years ago after the old camp flooded, the sites are great. Bayou type waterways back up to the camp. We are birders and lots of songbirds and some migratory birds were present. Camp naturalist was very helpful. Would highly recommend this campground. - G&S Smith
