Sep 2019 - $35.00
Very friendly. We just stayed overnight. There was no signage coming from the south and the RV Life GPS did not tell us what side of the road it was on. We will stay here again if the opportunity happens. - Lisa McCurdy
Oct 2018 - $35.00
Very small park right off Highway 67. Staff were very friendly. Clean park with many permanent sites. We had a pull through first night and a back in the return trip. Has full hookups. Wifi was very good, has cable but we did not use. This is a good spot for overnight. Cash only. Not much to see or do in Walnut Ridge, Ar. - Bosun
Mar 2018 - $35.00
It's really very good for what it is, at least for a traveler - a convenient stop-off with good, full hookups and friendly service. Several people live there - it's like America's smallest small town! But they have one pull-through and several back-in sites available for transients. It's family owned and the owners are working to improve it each year. Gravel roads and sites which are nice and level. Surprisingly good WiFi compared to many more established sites we have visited. - MNroadie

This is an excellent state park. There are only 2 pull throughs, and we had one. All paved, level, and very easy to use. There were quite a few campers. We only stayed 1 night and didn't unhitch as we were on our way to Hot Springs, Arkansas, but if we were every in the area again, we would definitely stay here. - kimandcindy
May 2018 - $27.00
We stayed at the park 2 nights during the week. There were only a couple of other campers there. Very quiet. It is a very small park, but very well maintained. The only reason I did not rate this park a "10" was because I considered moving to one of the sites with sewer; but when I checked the sewer at 2 other sites, the lines were backed up. Water/sewer was visible in the pipe close to the surface. - jholem1
Nov 2017 - $23.00
Loved our fall stay. Had business in Jonesboro, 50 minutes away, but felt find leaving camper for a day here. Nice in the fall, they say the mosquitos have been bad in summer. But such a nice park. Some sites have sewer, all seem fairly easy to accommodate our 42 foot fifth wheeler. Nice trails. Great history. - Damon-Becky
Aug 2019 - $34.00
This state park is awesome. When we arrived, there were two other campers in the park. The office advised us to drive around and find a spot that we liked and come back to register. We found a nice spot in Loop C right on Lake Charles. The park offers trails, kayak rentals and organized tours. There is also a boat ramp. The campsites are wooded, mostly shady, and quiet. - KevinGY

Great little Arkansas State park. A bit of a pain to get to; narrow, twisty roads and a good distance from US 67, but a real find once you get there. Inside, the access roads are also narrow and with significant ups and downs but we navigated with no problems pulling our 35' 5th wheel. We camped in loop C (full hook ups) in site 77 and backed in with no problems. Right across the road, site 76 would be another thing. It's on the inside of a tight turn and would be difficult to get a large camper in place. Ours was lovely with a great view of the lake thru some trees. The site was fairly level with only minimal adjustments needed. - Motorcyclekelly
Apr 2019 - $20.00
This was our second Arkansas state park and so far, really like how AR does their parks. We stayed in a Class AAA (FHUs) site, 79, right on the water in the C loop for 7 days. Sites 79 and 80 are across a lake cove from a water facility that has a pump that runs off and on all day and well into the evening. Pump is loud but bearable. Suggest sites 78 and below that are lake side as well. Site 77 has brick overhang so if you have one of the newer 5th wheels with the back storage area, this site would not be your best choice. Good fishing lake and we were able to place our kayak down by the water from our site. If you do not need FHUs. Loop B had some excellent sites that are water and electric. Loop A is water and electric but those sites looked smaller. Each loop had a bath house, which were clean and well maintained. There was a Walmart in Walnut Ridge about 20 miles away, but it was small with limited groceries; no produce or meat. There was a Super Walmart in Pocahontas about 30 miles away. - MK_Willi
Jul 2018 - $22.00
As several have noted, the RV camping sites are along a straight, narrow road, with a small "lolly-pop" shaped turn-around circle at the end. We camped in site 8, which a back-in, directly in line with the access road. So, we had to do a tight u-turn with our 35' 5th wheel and back in. It's doable but tight. Our site was unlevel, front to back but we got it level enough with boards under the trailer wheels without having to disconnect the truck. Beautiful scenery out the back window. Also, we came in on Friday night and had to rent minimum 2 days. We went ahead and did it because the price was reasonable and we like Ark state parks. - Motorcyclekelly
Mar 2018 - $23.00
This is a beautiful Arkansas State Park that does not have many RV sites, 18, and fewer tent sites. However it has many walking trails, some with bridges. Not a lot to see or do in the area, but if you want peace and quiet in the woods, this is the place to be. The Arkansas Parks and Wildlife site leads you to believe there is WI-FI in the park, there is NOT. They do offer it in the rental cabins only. I took a three day break from the road, and this was a great place to get some rest. - Mark Ford
Jul 2017 - $22.00
This is a beautiful state park. Camping area is small, and many of the sites are far from level both front to back, and side to side. There are no sewers, which is common in our parks, but the dump site is clean, and very well laid out. Electrical hookup and water were both very good. The restroom, showers, and entire area is very well maintained. The interior road is narrow, and there is a small turn around at the end of the road. I had to back and forth 3 times with only a 27 foot trailer. Some sites are very roomy, others are very close. I had to ask my neighbor to move his truck to get into my site. #12. With all those qualifiers, it is a beautiful setting, wildlife abundant, and very fresh and clean. - BWolfAR
Jul 2018 - $22.00
This is a simple park with full hook up, clean and neat, yes their are some cluttered permanents but it is convenient to town and the owner is on sight to make sure every thing is as it should be. A perfect place to be convenient to Jonesboro - Bruce and Janette
Oct 2017 - $25.00
Very easy to reserve, and they helped us to find our pull-through spot and get set up when we arrived. They gave us local area recommendations, and we enjoyed a nearby dinner. We were only there one night, passing through, and it was a great value. Quiet, clean, and easy to get in and out of. We were not there to camp long term, so we weren't concerned with facilities or amenities. We would stay there again for sure. - Ashley-RoadBloggers
Sep 2016 - $30.00
My family and I have stayed here a few times with our pets while visiting relatives. There is a few pull through spots in the front that we use. They're near the road but it's not to bad.
We call to let them know when we will be arriving and everything is always taken care of. We don't use amenities because we are running around with family.
It's convenient to shopping, churches, hospitals, gas, and many more things. If you are wanting ritzy then this might not be your place. If you are wanting convenience and nice people, it's exactly where you want to come.
If we are able, we will stay here when in this area.
Thank you Perkins RV for the kindness we have always received. - Cissis1
Mar 2019 - $15.00
What a great park right in town. A hidden gym. So much more than a campground at this park too. A lake, playgrounds, hiking trails just to name a few. Campground hosts on site and always available and friendly. Place is patrolled and safe. Free firewood!! - Jeff and Melissa 1105
Jul 2018 - $15.00
Great stay, again, in this park. They have added five sites since we last stayed, concrete pads, various sizes. (The step down from pad to ground is a bit steep on the new sites, so watch your step.) We stayed in site 13, which was lakeview. The host ladies are very nice. No reservations, first come first serve, but if you call on the day of arrival and pay for that day on phone, they will reserve (place a with cone on site) for you. - Damon-Becky
Sep 2017 - $10.00
Campground is very nice and the hosts were extremely helpful and courteous. The park appears to very busy, but yet there is enough room to spread out. There was plenty of ATT cell service and there was plenty of shopping areas within a reasonable distance. - DuranDDuran1
Nov 2017 - $10.00
Stayed here four nights visiting family. It's a city park with people walking, children playing, and picnics. Close to town but quite setting. We always enjoy our stays. Recently paved interior roads. - Hobbes
Nov 2016 - $10.00
A community park that is used by many of it's residents. We stayed here 9 days waiting for cooler weather before moving further south. There are ducks and geese that wander around, but they didn't bother the camp sites or the campers.
To register and pay you must go to the community center. They then give you keys to access the electric hookups, water, dump station and showers. See the city website for details.
We would stay here again. - User2260
Jul 2015 - $15.00
This is a city park with a limited number of spaces. Park is kept picked up but the Canada Geese make this place a mess. Geese are there by the hundreds. It is located on a very small lake. There is fishing from the bank. Staff at community center which runs the park are very friendly and will help all they can. Some spots are shaded. We were visiting relatives in Paragould. - travel2011
