This is a wonderful COE campground. But the best part is the sweet lady in the office! She is a jewel...goes out of her way to be helpful!! This was our first trip here but we hope to return. We checked out all of the sites and located several we like by the river and we will try to book one of them next time. B2 is not level, about 16" of fall in 40 feet requiring extra blocks to air level. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

We try to stay at this COE Park several times a year. It’s a Quiet country setting in the middle of an urban environment. The park was closed almost 2 months because of the Arkansas River flooding this spring. However they have reopened after cleaning up and repairing the flood damage and the park is better than ever.
Our site is on the bank of the river and the view is beautiful. Even though it’s the middle of summer, there is a nice breeze off of the river in the early mornings and late evenings. Sites are generally spaced a decent distance apart. Staff is friendly and helpful. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

Maumelle Park has just reopened after about 2 months of cleanup from the 2019 flood. The COE has done a great job of getting the park back in great shape. Spent 4 nights and will return very soon. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Only a one night stay, but would definitely stay again. Nice quiet park along the river with nice paved sites. It rained most of the evening so we could not get out and enjoy our river side site. Appears to be well kept. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

Hands down our favorite park across the country, paved streets long back in sites along a beautiful river with views of the hills across the way. Sycamores shade the area just enough and if you pick carefully your fixed satellite will work We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

Nice COE Park just outside Little Rock. The B Loop has nice spots by the river and are very nice to have a relaxing evening outside by its banks, however the spots on the south end of the B Loop have lots of vegetation and your view of the river is blocked. If you want to be back in the trees I recommend staying in the western end of the C Loop. The sites in the A and F Loop are a lot closer together and the A Loop has several "long term" sites for campers visiting the hospitals in Little Rock. There could be a few more dumpsters in the park and the playground is older and a bit lacking. Many OTA stations as Little Rock is close by and cell service (AT&T) was fine. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

The rate reflects a 50% senior pass discount. This campground worked very well for us while visiting Little Rock. It gave us a quiet place with shade for returning to every evening. The sites are well spaced so that you have some breathing room. We did not use the facilities but the park itself was clean and well-kept. It is heavily treed, but using our portable dish and 100 feet of cable, we were able to find a hole for satellite. Verizon was adequate for data and voice. We would return if in the area again. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Motorhome.

A beautiful Army Corp of Engineers campground on the Arkansas River. Our site backed up to the river. The site was paved and just wide enough for our travel trailer and fairly level. Plenty of trees. We had a covered picnic area with gravel. Close to everything you may need. The bath house was the better part of really hot. It is Spartan with no ventilation, clean but in June I wouldn't even think about trying to use it. It would be great in the Spring or Fall. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Very large COE campground. Most sites are very level, and shaded or partially shaded. A few sites in the interior of the campground are sloped front to back. Camper pads are asphalt, picnic table and fire ring areas are gravel bordered by timbers. Site spacing is typical for a COE park, but the park is big so there are a lot of shaded, grassy "common areas" for throwing a Frisbee or walking your dog. This park is bicycle friendly and has a fairly long paved nature trail. Check in was quick and to the point; the park hosts were friendly and helpful. Most of the riverside sites are about 40 feet from the water's edge. Makes for a great grassy sitting area next to the river for watching pleasure boats and barges. However, the grassy area behind the sites are separated from the river by 3-6 feet of weeds and growth that keep it from being suitable for kayak or canoe launching. There is a boat ramp in the campground. Site lengths are accurate on the Recreation.gov website. Longer sites for big rigs are on the interior of the campground. Sites are electric and water only, with a few full hook-up exceptions (see the tips comment). Interior roads are wide and in good shape; easy to navigate. There is a fairly heavy tree canopy, so satellite reception is 50/50 for a fixed dish, but likely OK if you have a portable dish. OTA TV is good, Verizon coverage is 5 out of 5. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Absolutely gorgeous park by the river! Get a riverside site if you can- we were in awe of how beautiful Arkansas is. Close to town if you need anything but you still feel removed from the hustle and bustle. Good-sized sites, no sewer but the dump site was close to us on B26. Playground very outdated and dog poop everywhere- pick up after your dogs!! Other than that it was an amazing stay. We camped at Maumelle COE in a Travel Trailer.
