Very nice state park on the junction of the white & black rivers. Nice level sites which are pretty open. Would not make a destination park for us but a pretty nice for a night over. Not very far off the main highway, but the disadvantage if you have to trek through the town of Newport to get to the park, which could be awkward for larger rigs. Shower house is on stilts, which says something for the flooding in the area, an really nice, well kept and clean. Jacksonport SP has a very nice new museum with very well done displays and historical info of the area. - garmp

Very nice CG with a very helpful staff, neat and clean. - hartk
Aug 2017 - $25.00
This park is a well-kept secret gem on the banks of the White River. We stayed on a Saturday evening and there were only two other campers in the park. There are about 10 sites facing the river and all have very good views. There is a swimming beach, boat ramp and picnic pavilion as well. Verizon service was great, and there were 3 OTA television channels. - DD Jones

The park looks new with level concrete pads and blacktop drive. Wifi was good, they offered cable. The proprietors were very friendly. We'd stay there again. - Billy Strayhorn
Nov 2017 - $40.00
Very friendly owners. Very clean park. Nice place for a one night stop or if in Batesville for medical treatment or activities related to Lyon College. Very quite and secure. 40Mbps free wifi and over 100 channels on cable tv. Sites are satellite friendly. Standard pull through was all we needed for a 40' MH towing a Honda. (about 58 feet). I agree with the comments in the prior review. - johnwadams

We stayed for 2 months visiting family. This is a new park and it is still growing. Sites were concrete and ashpalt and level. The patio area was more a door area but since we had the end spot, we put our chairs on the grassy area and it was fine. Sites were plenty long enough for our 40 foot home, tow and even our visitor vehicle. Owners are very friendly as is all their staff. Store has good breakfast and homemade sandwiches. A growing store of RV supplies too. We'll stay again. - Lillian OConnell

The manager is very friendly and the park is quiet. We stayed seven day, and enjoyed our stay. It is all gravel and I choose a back in site, it had better shade. I had to use 1 1/2 inch board to level the trailer. I had a front wheel bearing go bad and I asked about a mechanic and was directed to Mason's brake and wheel. I can fix my own stuff but I didn't have a 18mm wrench, he let me borrow one and also showed me what it took to replace the bearing assembly. A very nice guy. - Dirttrack 1
Jul 2010 - $30.00
A number of the RV sites are not level, had to use two blocks high on one side of unit. NO shade. One set of shower rooms are private, that is you lock the door. This park is NOT at the race track, it is 5 miles from it. All stone drive and parking, no concrete. - CCC

The hosts were very friendly. They have a gift shop on site, along with ice and a vending machine with sodas. Very pleasant, but there are no shade trees. - melfred
