I'm surprised this isn't rated higher. I have stayed in corp parks in Arkansas that could take lessons from these people for sure. Start to finish... no complaints. Host couple: she was very pleasant, helpful, etc... he was kinda unfriendly, but he really worked this place & it was hot hot hot. Saw him mid afternoon in a recently vacated spot checking it out & using the leaf blower. The shower house yes had mold on lower part of the walls but I'm guess that is next to impossible. The tile floors were spotless as was the toilet. No soap at sink. Now for our site, some well little water view as the trees are multiple and beautiful. I picked up maybe two cigarette butts which is a miracle in its own right. The site does slant to the side so leveling was required. Shady. Spread out nicely. Quiet except for fireworks nearby. Boat launch was challenging, lots of water. The kids' playground and the swim area is pretty much a drive away from sites. Nothing else to do here but water sports and fishing and relaxing. Branson is very close. Hwy 76 is still a nightmare. We definitely plan to go back here, mostly due to the cleanliness, fishing, site layout. There were more vehicles parked at some sites than should have been allowed making getting down the road hard at times. Should have some overflow parking somewhere for this issue. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

What a diff a year can make...... We stayed here a yr ago and you can read our review below. This time we had no issues with how the host was taking care of the park. We are glad to report the park was looking great and we had none of the issues we had a year ago. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a 5th Wheel. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Many things to do in Branson....... 12 miles away. Titanic was great attraction to visit. Legends in concert was great. [Toy Museum was over priced we thought]. "Sampson was terrific". Great food and so many choices.

There wasn't much to do in this park. The campsites seemed very close together over labor day weekend. The bathhouse wasn't big enough with only four rooms. Each room contained a toilet, sink, shower, and small bench. Most sites did not have a view of the lake. People parked everywhere with trucks and boats. Getting out in our motorhome was very difficult. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 7 days and observed the following: 1-Campers putting trash bags on the ground and animals getting into them. 2-Campers parking veh & boats all over the grass. 3-Dogs not leashed and crapping all over. 4-Not able to use restrooms while they are being cleaned even though they have [4] of them. Only reason we were able to stay for as long as we did we were in Branson most of the time. Great park grounds and lake beach, but the service was the worst we have ever encountered at any park. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

A Corps campground located just south of Branson. Shaded well and it has had lots of improvements since we have been going there. There is a marina just down the hill as well. If you want satellite tv you have to park on the outside ring by the road, it's a clear shot there. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects discount with Golden Age card. Small park, lots of trees for shade. Roads and spaces are asphalt, will need moderate work to level in most. 50Amp works well, water pressure ok. There is a dump located in the campground. Easy enough to haul a tote for longer stays. There is a minimal of COE staff presence here. Only saw a ranger twice, once on Friday and once on Saturday as a "drive thru". Rules are not enforced when it comes to parking, number of tents/units on a site or number of people allowed on sites. There is a marina with boat rentals and a small store. There is a small swim beach but other than that, not much to do on the park itself. Walking and biking are challenging due to hilly terrain. Spaces are generous enough with room to park 2 cars on most. Smaller than average patio areas marked with stone blocks, they offer picnic tables, lantern pole, prep table and fire rings. Park had attendants while we were there who man the station Thur-Mon and clean the restrooms/showers. There are 4 individual restrooms with showers for the park. Grass had not been cut in a while when we were here, about 6-8 inches high, if you chose to walk through it, you got ants, chiggers and other critter bites. Branson MO is just 15 miles up the road if you need restaurants and entertainment. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Very nice small Corps park in wooded setting. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine, but we couldn't get satellite at our site. Looks like a few sites could. For some reason we couldn't get local stations either. Not too far from Branson (about 15 miles). We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Motorhome.

This was a very nice campground. The sites were paved and level and most were easy to access. The camp hosts were friendly, helpful and quick to take care of an electrical problem at our campsite. The campground itself is quiet and peaceful. There is a nice marina within walking distance and a nice swim beach/day use area as well. The scenery from the marina was beautiful!! The bathrooms/showers were clean and well maintained. We would stay here again!! We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

We love this campground! The best part: the bathrooms are clean and are private. The shower, sink and toilet are all in one room, very well kept and clean! When we arrived at our site, someone's car was parked in our spot. The caretakers we very quick to resolve the problem and help us out in any way that they could. I would definitely recommend this campground! It is located very nicely, not to far from Branson, which is a plus. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.
