This park is an excellent, quiet place to stay on the Arkansas River. There is a boat dock for fishing, a large playground for children, an expansive pavilion for get-togethers, and nature trails to walk and run. This place is away from the hustle and bustle of society. It is a nice, quiet place with not much to do. My husband and I stay here yearly when we are looking for rest and relaxation. There is a dump station on site. - LakePeople
Jun 2016 - $10.00
We love this park. Close by and clean with great views. We felt safe here as the local police patrolled often and the gate is closed after 10, and you are given an access code to enter if needed. This is our go-to spot when we want a quick weekend getaway. Good fishing as well! - RobinS
Jul 2015 - $10.00
The park had just reopened after severe flooding by the Arkansas River which deposited up to 4 feet of sand in areas of the park. It was ready for the July holiday crowd and had been manicured for all to enjoy. There is no more awesome sight to watch than the barges that are 1/4 mile long being pushed up or down the river by boats, especially at night when they are lit up with colored lights. We sat in chairs 50 feet from the water on our shady site for hours on end watching them. - tcurex

I would not stay here again. Very run down park, no electricity at our pedestal, moved to another site and the water connection was full of fire ants. Needed mowing for the fall. There are no restrooms. The sites were very narrow for turning in. The lady checking us in was nice but she only collected money & can do nothing about the condition of the park. - Wolfcamp
Sep 2018 - $20.00
I have to question the accuracy of previous positive reviews about this park. We stayed here based on those reviews and I cannot see any correlation between the reviews posted and what we found. By the looks of it, the grass had not been cut in at least a month, probably longer. Broken limbs and debris littered the whole campground. Apparently, a windstorm had struck the area in the past and no effort had been made to remove the storm debris. We did not see any pull-thrus so we took a back-in site near the entrance to make a quick get away in the morning. The mosquitoes about ate me up while disconnecting the tow car and hooking up the electric (30 amp only) and water. When you camp near water you can expect some mosquitoes but the campground could mitigate the situation by keeping the grass cut and as this is a joint city-county park, spray for mosquitoes. When the cover on the electric box was raised a swarm of wasps flew out. Luckily, I was not stung but it indicated to me that the site had not been used in some time. The directional signage in the park as well as signage indicating camp host, left a lot to be desired. The whole campground needs maintenance. Would I stay here again or recommend this campground to someone else? Absolutely NOT. Keep on driving! - Bamabound
Apr 2018 - $18.00
We stayed in the park after our tow vehicle breakdown. The park attendant was super friendly and accommodating. We very in close proximity to the Arkansas River with grassy fields to roam. Great area for walking dogs. Our lot had only 30amp plug and had to use a dog-bone conversion. No sewer hook-up on site and they allowed running the grey water on site. There was a centralized black water dumping point. Not a lot to see in Pine Bluff, but we did enjoy our visit. - HMathis58

All sites at this park seem to have electricity and water with no sewer (there is a dump station available). Some sites are not level (ours - site 8) required our front wheels to be off the ground about 4 inches (we had them on blocks). Lots of ant piles around. The restroom/showers in the campground were closed - if needed you'd have to go to other end of park (to the day use end) and use those facilities. Wonderful view of the river and waterfowl. - Wandering With Us
Jun 2018 - $10.00
Not too far off of I-440 in a quiet spot along the Arkansas River. The park is undergoing an upgrade, adding 17 more sites. The original bathroom and shower building in Area F is now closed for eventual renovation. There is a new bathroom and shower building at the far end of the park over a mile away. There are also toilets only in the parking lot next to the boat ramp. Very quiet park with an occasional aircraft from the nearby Little Rock Airport. The park station is staffed except on Wednesdays. On that day, you just go into the park, pick an open site and fill out a reservation envelope and include payment. The park closes and the entry gate is locked at 10 PM, however they give you the code for the gate padlock to enter or exit. Just a couple areas with some low hanging tree branches that you can navigate around. Basically another great COE campground. - Good Vibes
May 2018 - $10.00
Stayed at Willow Beach one night in a 22 foot travel trailer. The campground is right on the Arkansas River. The sites are large and well maintained. During our stay the restroom/shower was being replaced and you needed to use the facilities at the other end of the park in the picnic area. The whole park is well taken care of and we reserved our site on line and received the American the Beautiful discount. Takes a little time to find off the expressway but well worth it if your looking for a beautiful quiet place to stay. - M Warner

As others have said, call ahead for directions. It is a little off the beaten path but that is also why it is such a good stopping place. Quiet, scenic, well maintained. Spent the first night of a trip to Kentucky here. If we had returned by the same route, we would have stayed on the way back. Owner's son met us at the gate, guided us to our spot and stayed to be sure we had no trouble setting up. They do no advertising yet the park is nearly always full just by word of mouth. - Dollins
May 2018 - $35.00
This campground is off the beaten path. GPS took us the back way into the campground thru some narrow, winding, and hilly roads. The traffic was light so it was not a problem pulling a 5thwheel down the narrow roads. You will need to call ahead to get better directions, the owner also needs to meet you at the entrance to open the gate. Then there is a long private road that is all gravel before you get to the actual campground. The campsites are very close together. The neighboring camper needed to pull in his awning in order for us to extend our slideout. The sites are all gravel, no grass or trees. We only stayed overnight so we did not check out the restrooms. I dont know if I will stay here again. - On the Road Again with Dave and Christie
May 2018 - $34.00
Not a 7, rating should be 5. GPS directions will take you to the gate if you type in the address which needs a code. I would call and have them give you directions. You need to call when you are about to arrive so that they can meet you and escort you to the park. Google directions are useless and the internal address of my Garmin is incorrect. As others have stated, this is a bit off the beaten path, with narrow roads, but traffic is very light so we had no problems with our 40' diesel bus and a toad. Lake is more like a pond, but is private and doesn't require a license to fish. The son of the family that owns this park couldn't be nicer. The father I found to be a little unfriendly. When Wi-Fi wouldn't work (only works if by the office) I asked if I could sit in the office. The 1st response was "you could sit outside" when I pointed out that it was 95 and 80% humidity. The answer begrudgingly was "Go sit over there; I hope you don't need to do this often." Using the bathrooms is very inconvenient. You need to get a key and then bring it back. That would be OK except that the office is not manned all of the time. You want a back in spot by the lake. This provides the best sun exposure. The surrounding area is beautiful. We camped at Cherokee Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome. Not sure if I would stay again. - newbies2016

Dec 2018 - $26.00
Very nice people running office. Convenient to N. Little Rock and interstates. We were staying here while grandchild was in Children's Hospital and it was 5 minutes away. One of the cleanest parks we have ever stayed at. Bath house is large and private. Laundry available if needed. We felt very secure here and it was very quiet in the neighborhood. Only complaint I had was the highway noise. In the summer it would be overtaken by the A/C and not noticed. Thank you staff for a warm friendly welcome at a time we needed it. - Chetty

Location is excellent. It is a parking lot, they don't hide this fact. Park is well maintained. Easy in and out. - RVTom2004
Nov 2018 - $24.00
This is a gated city owned CG. Not many amenities but asphalt roads & concrete pads are are premium to me. All site pads are will hold the longest rig & they are about 12' wide. The Pull Through's are designed to have the RV's back to back. This means it is a pull through for the first RV to arrive. The second one will have to back in. The utilities are conveniently located off to the side at the center line of the site. Sites spacing is close. I stayed here for 6 days and never saw two RV's on a site and was told that they never fill up and also the premium sites are pull in's along the river. There are several monthly's along the back wall back in's. Good AT&T Cell & 5 bars of LTE data. Good Dish Sat & 31 OTA channels. Nice bridge lighting. A little noisy but ok inside the my motorhome. I would return. - Lugnuts

We stopped at this park overnight en route from Texas to Pennsylvania. The host was extremely polite and accommodating. Because he was closing up when we arrived, he said, "Just pay in the morning before you leave." We did just that. This is a travel park, plain and simple. There is no pool or fitness room. The bath house was clean. Long-term residents (overnighters are not near them) keep their sites clean and cleared of clutter. Our site was extremely easy to get in and out of. It was long enough that we had no need to disconnect our tow vehicle. It was level and spacious. Although we were close to I-30, we were not bothered by highway noise and had a very comfortable night. We highly recommend this little jewel of a park to those "just traveling through" who want a restful night. Be sure to mention you are active or retired military. You'll be treated with great respect. - RV'ing Bikers

Nice park, easy I-30 access, pleasant check-in, long level sites. Good water pressure. Lots of long term residents; transient RVers on back row for easy in/out of park. No eateries in walking distance, so if you don't disconnect, eat before you park. - texasgal54

Park is basically a parking lot with utilities. Near highway, good for an overnight stop. Host was very helpful. I needed a truck tire and host drew me a map and told me where to go. - Chuck McC
