The park owners are very nice but, the park is sorely in need of some TLC! The sites are not numbered and I was directed, by telephone, to the "50 Amp" row and to pick a site. Most of the residents are full timers. The sites are dirt/gravel and the entire park became a "mud puddle" when it rained. The electrical hook up worked but, was held up on a precarious angle by a wooden post. One of the photos I posted is a picture of our sites BBQ Grill... That's it sitting, rusted through on its mount pole. The sites are close... Very close where I couldn't deploy our window shades without touching our neighbors rig! When paying for our site, I asked if there was a preferred exit path... I was told their is but I should figure it out. If you're driving a Big Rig I suggest you walk the exit paths, our neighbor pulled out before us and turned left, I opted to go right. I noted he could not make the turn and had to "maneuver" their way out of the tight turn. A cable box was offered at an additional cost. We were able to pull in all of the major OTA channels. No WiFi was offered. Water, sewer and electrical all worked! We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Arrived around 5pm after driving in 7 hrs of rain. Rang the "evening" bell, lady came right out, and proceeded to explain the area, grounds, cable booster deposit. then, altho still raining, drove her golf cart directly to our site, helped us get aligned, said if any problems the ph #'s were on our paperwork. Due to all the rain, we had to put a length of 2X8 in front of the tower to safely access the outlets, but the actual gravel pad was fine, level & mostly dry. once all hooked up & operational, hooked up the cable booster, hoping to watch the Redsox kick butt, but could not get the booster to work, tv showed "call 1-800-bla-bla". so figured cable was out due to the heavy rains, but since we had the office #, decided to just ask. The lady said, now dig this, "wait a couple minutes, ill send someone down and get you working". Was she serious? Its past 8pm, sat nite, raining, and shes sending someone??? true enuff, a man came down, showed me we simply need to shut (our) cable booster off (sumthing i didnt know about as we're only 1st year rv'ers), and the cable worked perfectly. We were so grateful (and kinda embarrassed) that we didnt think to give him a tip, altho next day we did a little sumthing for them. next day we did laundry, clean, adequate, (bring 1/4's), trash barrels easy access, and we were off. We have been learning new things about our rv each stop, from NC, to Lake Tahoe (north route) and back to NC (thru az, texas, etc), but wont forget the folks at Park Ridge!! We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for 3 nights at this lovely park. The spaces side-by-side were close, but long enough for our 37 ft. motorhome and towed vehicle. Plenty of nice shade trees in most of the spaces, which were not numbered. Our space was level on gravel with grass between. Shared 30 and 50 amp available, water good pressure and dump was not bad. I did not use the laundry, because there was only one working washer and unsure of the 4 dryers. The room was dirty and unacceptable to use. However, the ladies bathrooms (2) were individual and clean with shower, toilet and sink. We enjoyed our stay here and the lady in the office was very helpful and pleasant. Some of the spaces were tight to get into with many trees between, but do-able. Will stay here again next time we come to Van Buren. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Due to a breakdown enroute, we had a reservation, cancelled it, and re-instated it. We got the last 50a site available, paying in the office on arrival at 5:15pm. $35 a night for the weekly rate with Good Sam discount seems a bit on the high side, but it is what is it. We had a nice pull through site under the trees with plenty of toad parking, but impossible to get our satellite TV. A cable box was available with a $70 deposit, but that would only serve one of our TVs so we passed, getting by on about 18 local OTA channels. Be sure you use a water pressure gauge as mine indicated 112psi. Sewer fittings are slip-in and the neighbor's overflowed when I dumped my tanks. We had a peaceful week there and will stay again to visit family. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Arrived to find office closed (even though sign on door said it was open). Called the number on door, husband answered and said he was surprised his wife wasn't in office, advised us to pick a site and he would sort out when he got off work. After we parked AND hooked up, wife arrived and told us we were in the wrong spot - in fact she told us she had no record of our reservation! In fairness to us, she allowed us to stay in the spot and agreed to move the other party when they arrived - she did have the grace to apologize profusely for the mix-up. Then, the sites, all sand with a bit of gravel, not marked in any way, not sure the rate warranted the charge made for what we got. Campground does not have a map, so finding a site was not easy. Did note that when husband was there, he showed everyone to their site. Otherwise the campground is pretty, and not many "permanents" in pleasant surroundings, but would hate to think access would be like during or after a rain. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Motorhome.

There had been some rain and the park roads and sites were very muddy. We made reservation and arrived early afternoon. No one was in the office (no one was ever in the office), we called and the lady/owner told us to pick an empty spot, she later told us we picked the wrong spot. When paying, we asked for Good Sam discount. She said we had to have the card as the number was incorrect. We printed a temp card for her (the # was correct). We were over charged $50, when we asked about the charge, she said we would need to prove it. We printed a copy of our statement, and the money was credited back. The lady was extremely rude and hateful. Her husband was pleasant. Not worth the aggravation, stay somewhere else. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Good place for stop-over stay. Easy in & out. Large pull-through. Level gravel sites. Full hookups, 50 amp. Lots of trees, trimmed well above rigs. Near river but not a part of river you'd want to swim in! Cable. Probably would be quiet it it wasn't cicada season. Staff (owner?) very friendly and helpful. Some long-term residents. Would stay here again. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy off and on from I-40. Easy in and out of park. Quiet and shaded sites...level gravel with some grass. FHU, GS discount ($35 with disc), no cable but good wifi. Plenty of dog walking space. Did not use bathhouse..but it is new. Cute gift shop in office. We camped one night in fifth wheel and sites are long enough so that we did not need to unhook. All in all..shaded, safe, rural and cute...we would stay again. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of trees which are nice but no satellite tv. Their cable tv requires a box be installed near your tv. About half the channels do not come in. Right on rivers edge for a beautiful setting. Easy on and off of I-40. The owner is very nice. I would say this park is a work in progress. Lots of long term campers. It was easy to get in and out of our site. The site was level and all the utilities worked well. We were on a 50 AMP pull through site. It's okay for a shot term stay. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

What has been said by other reviews are essentially correct. Great staff/owners who are really trying hard and working currently to make improvements. Specifically, the restrooms/laundry (currently under construction). If you are self contained, this park is fine but I have to agree a little over priced for what they are currently. I would still recommend the park in an effort to help the owners/staff get the work done that is needed to justify the price. It was a very quite park with nice fulltime residents scattered about. Nice river view and our space was fine. Some spaces are a little close to each other, while some are not. I say support this park in hopes of helping them complete their improvements.
