Awesome RV campground. Super clean, lots of common green space with some shade and some sun. Laundry facilities available. Book exchange. Free coffee in the morning. River is beautiful, you can go tubing and swimming. Very dog-friendly park. Highly recommend this RV park and can't wait to go back for longer. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were only a 1 nighter as we were passing thru to Alberta, we made a reservation and they did not charge our card at that time which is a nice touch. They charged us when we arrived. The owners are the friendliest owners we have ever encountered in over 50000kms of RV experience, he helped us set up, lent me a power extension free of charge, was there in the morning to help move out. One of our night shades broke, within minutes the owner brought us someone who knew how to fix these things, talk about service! It was a Saturday and the place was full save for 1 site yet they had time for us.

We regret not having the time to stay longer it is a lovely place and the Hitching Post Restaurant in Hedley is one of the best we have encountered in a long time, seriously good food and at excellent prices. So we are planning our next trip and we will stay longer next time.

Thank you for making our stay memorable. Hats off to you both! We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

$35.00 Canadian nightly. The owner lent us a cutting axe for firewood. $8.00 of wood lasted 2 evenings with some to spare. Clean bathrooms. A loonie of water for the shower did the job with water to spare. The sites were clean and raked. Friendly and helpful owners, even helped by guiding as we backed in our tiny trailer. Our dog and grandson (3 years old) were welcomed! We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The site was by a river. Walking by the river was lovely. We saw people fly fishing...must do this next time. Hedley is a tiny town with friendly people. There's a volunteer-run museum. We hear that the Mascot mine tour is great, but camped with our dog so took walks instead.

Overall Rating:

I cannot possibly say enough fantastic things about this campground and the owners.

All sites are 30 amp electrical. Some have sewer. If not, free sani dump right in the park! Some river view sites. Pet friendly - must be on a leash though and you must pick up after your dog - it's a respectful rule!

For kids - giant chess board, horseshoes, playground, safe campground, river for fishing, swimming, gold panning. Hike trails around the campground. Lots to do in Hedley, BC - tour Mascot Mines, museum, market or float the river!

Campsite - Approx 24 campsites, 4 rustic cabins to rent (with beautiful decks and views of the river)and also a newer RV for rent! Shower house. $1 for a 5 minute shower. Flush toilets, store with ice, candy and a few things you may have forgot.

Cell service, town in 5 minutes away and sells liquor and anything else you need.

Summer kitchen for family gatherings and potluck dinners. Laundrymat on site. Fresh coffee on every morning for campers! Wood is per wheelbarrow and SO CHEAP compared to a tiny 4 piece plastic wrapped bundle you get from provincial parks.

Now... about the owners. Amazing people. The nicest camp hosts you will ever meet. They check on all of their guests to make sure they have what they need and are having a good time. They host 4 theme weekends a year where they do NOT raise the prices of the campsites but instead provide games, prizes, food and other perks to all campers. IE: Western Theme, Mardis Gras, Mexican Fiesta, Christmas in July, Wine and Pasta Competition. These are most definitely the best weekends to book to maximize your fun!

I would highly recommend this campground for family reunions and weddings, large birthday gatherings or just get togethers.

This is 1 hour from Penticton/Osoyoos. 3.5 hours from Vancouver. It's the perfect distance to get-away for a weekend.

This campground is beautifully manicured with big trees to shade you and spots to bask in the sun. It is SUPER clean. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We loved our 2-night stopover here. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The park was quiet and clean. We would definitely stop here again if travelling through that area. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park has new owners who have little experience dealing with the public. As a result, many strange happenings during our three night visit including evictions of one neighbour (at 10:30 PM) because he let his little dog follow him to the shower house and another neighbour who let their two dogs following them down to the river. In each case the dogs were not making a noise or mess. The owner is very concerned about his grass and with the sites being extremely small and crowded together it is impossible to park your RV without traveling on the grass. That's when you get a scolding and later the owner tells your neigbours that you are a problem tenant. The park advertises full hookups but you are not told there is no sewer in the river side sites. Later, when you go to dump your tanks you are scolded for using too much sewer capacity and too much water. This is on top of a dump that that is on a side hill and slopes away from the drain. Overall, the tension and stress here is too much. We will not stay at this park again. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This has been the best value stay we had. All facilities were good. Very friendly. I would stay here again without question. Toilets were average, and it is some distance from shops and facilities; they did have good supplies here though, even marshmallows for the fire pits they provide. Lovely site right next to a river (some pitches overlook river itself). Right next to main road but as it's below the road it doesn't seem to get very noisy. Friendly, efficient & helpful owners with well stocked shop. Pitches well laid out with fire pits and some pull through sites. Showers & toilets clean but very old and rough round the edges. Very little near to the site so very little to see other than walks. You can go panning for gold ion the river for a mere $3. Recommended. (Note: at time of our visit site was up for sale so ownership may have changed). We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very well looked after campground, very nice owners. A pity they want to sell, if you are interested: it is a good place and a beautiful spot on the river. Sites are a little bit small but the pull-throughs are long enough. Near the main road but no noise at night. Beautiful flowers everywhere. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

What a great RV park! The owners are the nicest folks you would ever hope to meet and their hard work and dedication has made Gold Mountain a beautiful park. The grounds are immaculate and manicured and the utilities and facilities are clean and in perfect working order. We extended our stay a day and would like to have stayed longer. We love this area and this is definitely THE place to stay. We'll be back. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very friendly and helpful hosts/owners. Well treed, maintained and clean sites with fire rings. About five or six TV stations available on local within park broadcast system (use your rig antenna). Full service sites are located in upper part of park and water/electric sites along riverside sites. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I am biased when it comes to Gold Mountain RV Park. We have travelled across to Saskatchewan and back a couple times in our tent trailer and recently in our new travel trailer. We have visited quite a few, very nice RV parks, but we will always consider Gold Mountain RV our favorite Park. They have fantastic hosts: friendly, helpful and willing to help you whatever the request. Upon arrival they will even guide you into your spot. Where else do you get this service? The park is clean, all grassed sites (except for the trailer pads), with plenty of room, clean washrooms and facilities. We have recommended this park to quite a few friends and family, and they have all commented how much they love this park. We have already booked all the long weekends for summer 2010. Once you've been to this small, well maintained "fantastic Gold mine" of an RV park you will not want to go anywhere else. Hat's off! We are here so often we consider them a part of our family. I give it "excellent" in every respect. We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Small park with nice helpful owners. After a long trip it was best place we stayed at and a good way to end it. It is close to fruit stands in the Keremeos and close to Princeton. The only minor downside is the showers are hard to use for some. Good wheelchair accessibility. Will definitely be back! We camped at Gold Mountain RV Park in a Truck Camper.
