This is a lovely campground located on the Cassier Highway near Iskut, B.C. We were assigned a back in water/electric site. The campground offers a wifi service though to get the good stuff, it costs $3 per day-we did pay for one day. The owners were friendly and the campground is well maintained. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Truck Camper.

On our way from Whitehorse back to the US via the Cassiar highway, we drove 450 miles (way more than our usual drive but the road was good) and needed a place to stop for the night. There are some BC parks along the route but they were not far enough down the highway so we stretched our day to get here. This spot is beyond beautiful. The park itself is nice, clean and easy to get around. Pull thru, level spots to stay hooked up. There is a lovely lake to walk around. Absolutely no cell nor OTA channels. A short paved drive way to get into the park but not bad and puts u into a lovely spot. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove from Haines to Whitehorse (stayed there a bit and got some work done on the rv) but when we decided to head back, we took the Cassiar and it was lovely. This was a long drive from Whitehorse but some people take two nights to get here. Go for a walk to the lake in the morning before you pull out.

A diamond in the middle of nowhere. The setting is spectacular. The entrance road is about a third mile long, taking you to a very inviting check in area. Down the stairs and into a log cabin, the owners' home, where the registration takes place at the kitchen counter. The pull thrus are LONG. 9 pull thrus and about the same # back in. Good 30 amp service. Water pressure was not good. No sewer. Lovely lake with a float plane sitting at the dock. Roads and sites are gravel. Sites are mostly level. Pull thru sites are tiered, with nice spacing. Grassy patio areas with picnic table. Nice trail out to the lake. A couple miles from the town. Restrooms are very nice, one private men's and women's with loonie coin shower, sink and toilet. No cable. Our satellite (DISH) worked fine but neighbor had no luck, not sure what provider they had. Really good WiFi, but just a free hour and you have to use it all at once. $2 per hour thereafter. No cell signal from Verizon, T-Mobile or Canada Koodo). We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Paid cash - can't remember exact cost. The property is lovely, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The entry road winds down a hill, but it is well-graveled and in great shape and no problem for large rigs. Roads are easily navigable, and after all pull through sites were occupied, they put cones at the entry to this row of sites so no one else would accidentally go down the road - smart management. The office was not open when we arrived, but the map/brochure was taped to the door so we went directly to the site and checked in later. The sites are gravel with grass in between, but the grass was a bit high and could use a mowing. Neighbors were near but I wouldn't say close, compared to other parks in BC and AK. Sites are wide open to the skies, and our neighbor was able to connect to Direct TV satellite, but we were unsuccessful with Dish, likely because of clouds. Owner/operators are very nice. I was concerned when we arrived as the park is for sale, but the property is very nice. No enclosed dog park but plenty of grass to walk the dogs. Water pressure was low (about 20), no sewer at the site, and WiFi is limited, which is typical for this part of the world. No cell service the entire length of the Cassiar between the AH and the Yellowhead. I would normally rate a park with low water pressure and no on-site sewer at 3 stars, but the views and neatness of the park add another star. I would stay there again. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Entering the CG is very steep 1/2 mile down hill to the office and into the camp ground, dirt-gravel road. This is a real gem. We had a drive thru site with power and water, dump station on the way out. There is a nature trail to a nearby lake and there is no road noise. Each site has a picnic table, is gravel parking and grass surround, plenty of room for RV and tow vehicle or toad. There are no breakers on the power points. The owners are very pleasant folks and make the stay enjoyable. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Well kept park with an outstanding view. There's a nice hiking trail to one of the lakes for another view, but the mountains by the park are pretty spectacular. The owners are very dedicated and have the park in top condition. Power was a bit low at times, and there are no sewer hookups, so we washed clothes and dumped prior to a complete setup. And like all parks on the Cassiar Highway - NO connectivity. Be sure to make all your reservations before you get on this road. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

After a very long day we were so happy to come across this beautiful well cared for campsite. The road into the campground was gravel and not a pothole to be found. The owner was very nice, the setting is spectacular and the grounds are immaculate. The sites were large and it was quiet and a great place to relax and enjoy the view of the lake and mountains. This is definitely a gem We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful and well kept campground. Level, gravel sites. 30 amp was reliable and wi fi worked well. You could purchase additional wi fi if necessary. No cell service. Make sure you call when you can to make a reservation. We have a 40ft rv towing a car and experienced no problem with the entrance road going into the park. Well maintained gravel road. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice well maintained park. Access road is steep and tougher when it is raining. site pads are well graveled and nice grass area between sites. They offer a 30amp plug, but after using 15amps your voltage will drop below 110 so it is really a 15 amp park. Nice walking trail but you can no longer go to the boat dock (rented to a seaplane) and the lake trail is starting to show age in a lot of the bog crossings. Couple has had it on the market for years so who knows what the future holds. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain Shadow, owner at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground responded to this review

Please take the time to read all reviews. Some people are just impossible to please.
1. We have the largest rv's that are made in this park all the time, for 25 years. No one, not one person has had a hard time with the driveway.
2. Our sites are 30 amp, and 110 volts
3. The dock has never, since it was installed, had public access to it. There is no reason for anyone to have to be on the dock. The dock is located on the pond. There is no fishing there. We do not rent boats and fishing is from the lake trail.
4. The trail to the lake is stated as being a nature trail. We maintain the trail every year. You are the first person to make a negative comment. Most find it very, very beautiful.
5. Our property is listed on our website as "For Sale", not with a realtor. We maintain this park to a very high standard, the quality has not suffered, nor will it ever suffer, from it being "For Sale".

I had a flat, level gravel, pull through site with grass on both sides of my site. There was a picnic table. My site had 30 amp service and water. The water pressure was only 20 psi. There is a beautiful view of the mountains and a nice trail that goes down to the lake. There is no cell phone. WI-FI is limited to 100 mg per device. The WI-FI was fast and consistent. There is a free dump station available when leaving. A very nice park; definitely big rig friendly. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Take a walk down to the lake. Take the left fork of the trail, marked "lake". The trail that is marked "dock" does not provided access to the lake.

This was such a beautiful park. Only about 30 sites but several nice large pull thru's. The sites are gravel with beautiful manicures grass between the sites. The sites are all tiered and they have the most beautiful view of the lake below and towering mountains. I must say this was the nicest park we stayed in on our trip to Alaska. There is nothing in Iskut so it is a place to just relax and enjoy the outdoors. I would have rated it a 10 but you only get 100 mg of internet which is very slow and 30amp service. That being said you will not be disappointed. If coming from the North and you have a big rig slow down when you get close and take a WIDE turn cause it is about a 270 degree turn. We actually had to unhook before we made the turn cause I did not swing wide. I am a 45' rig pulling a truck. Also there is no sewer but the dump is very convenient when pulling out. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

What a gorgeous view from this campground which has immaculate kept grounds. Plenty of grass for the dogs and a nice mowed walkway down to a pond. The chance of seeing moose is very good, and tracks for sure. Don't expect anything for wifi. They limit you to 100 mb and if you go over, the system cuts you off. It's a great place for an overnight. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The grounds of this private campground are immaculately maintained. The 10 pull-through sites are terraced affording views of the mountains. There are also a number of shorter back-in sites with mountain views. Another area of the campground that I did not see apparently is in a wooded area and is for shorted RV's, and tents. There are no laundry facilities. As is the case along the entire length of the Cassier Hwy (#37), there is no cellphone service, however there is an outdoor pay phone near the office. There is free limited WiFi (100Mb per deice, per day). There is a path to a lake where my wife caught a rainbow trout, so there is fishing. As evidenced by the number of RV's using levelling blocks, it was not just our site that was not level from side-to-side. Also the strip of grass separating the sites is sloped, so there is little utility for the picnic table. The dump station is not level, so it is not possible to completely empty ones tanks. Credit cards are accepted, but a $3 discount is offered for cash payment. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hwy 37 is now paved or chipsealed the entire length. For the most part there are NO shoulders, so watch out for the semi's that like to hug the centre line - it can be a white knuckle experience.

We made an unexpected change in our route to travel Hwy 37 S and were so glad we did when we found Mountain Shadow RV Park! The view alone is well worth the stay! The sunrise on the mountains was an awesome site! We were able to easily access our site pulling our 38ft 5th wheel. The site was long enough to allow us to stay connected. Quiet, relaxing, serene location. We camped at Mountain Shadow RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
