Overall Rating:

Location- Great location for ferry travel. Several large potholes as you enter to park. If it's raining, you won't see them. Cleanliness- Piles of trash by the front office, sat there the entire time of our stay. RV Site- If possible, avoid the lower section as the sites can be on a slope. The sites have been cut in half whereas they put two RV's into one site. The front part of the sites have a big slope. The other problem by splitting the site is the utility hook-ups. Bring extra hose lengths. If you can only get the lower section, stay in the rear area of the sites as this will be more level. View- Other RV's. Full Timers- Some, but not an issue. Some use the camp as a fishing base, that's ok with us, this is fishing country. Landscaping- Grass, needs to be mowed. Utilities- (incl Satellite, Internet) If you're in the lower section you will not receive satellite. Didn't use their wireless. Park Road Surface- Dirt. Noise & Fire Smoke- Quiet. Neighbors are close together, fire smoke could be an issue for some. Staff- Friendly. Issues-None. Comments- Recent change in ownership, hopefully will bring this park up in tidiness, but doesn't look too promising. There are no refunds. Our ferry was at 5:30AM, it is ok to pull out at that time. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The terminal is just down the road. Entry / Exit- Right off the road. If you are catching the early morning ferry, consider spending the before departure evening at the terminal.

We stayed here 13 years ago, then this was a nice clean campground, however times have changed. As the poster said in 2017, this place has gone down hill BIGTIME. A lot of the sites have been cut in half, somewhat used to be a pull through is now two sites and if you happen to be the second person in, your most likely not going to get the hookups on the correct side of your rig. There is uncut lawn, weeds growing around the sewer, water and power connections. The water "main" shutoff are in a hole which is open to step in and break an leg. The sites are on a slant and if you don't have blocking you're going to be pointed up hill or down hill, and way to much to be comfortable. This place has also turned into a seasonal campground with people camping here, fishing and living, and since they were here first, they take up most of the cut-in-half pull though sites, where our truck and camper at 24 ft hardly fit. But the guy with the 28ft 5th wheel has room for his truck to park in front of his rig. Garbage all around the garbage cans. I have been telling people for the last 13 years to stay here... now I will tell them a different story. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Stay as far away from here as possible, no body drives slow, dust from cars and trucks...every time someone drives by. And because our 1/3 site is so short... we were just about on the road. The seasonal people seam to be the worst offenders on speeding in the park. Stay some place else even if you're catching the Ferry like we are.

Sadly this RV park has a real monopoly in the area, especially if you require electrical, and power. If we were to return to Prince Rupert we would now stay at the Prudhomme provincial campground. The Prince Rupert RV campground is in a great location but is all about making money. Normal pull through sites were reconfigured to fit two travel trailers... both facing forwards so you can't hook up again and leave until the rv in front departs. The majority of sites are not maintained, slanted downwards and very muddy due to the rainy conditions and poor maintenance. Note they charge based on your total length and not just your rv unit. We paid $99 for two nights with a travel trailer of 27 feet and our truck. We lucked out and could hook up to the sewer connection but the trailer on our site just below us couldn't as the connection was uphill. Very poorly maintained campground!!!! Filled with boats and trucks as well. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Better sites were given to motor homes. They pick your site for you. We were to park our truck just across from our rv but when we came back from grocery shopping a truck and fishing boat took up the entire tow vehicle parking section. Make sure you have lots of extra wood pieces for levelling your unit!!!!

The park is the only one within the city limits. It is an average park but could really use some sprucing up. There are not many sites that will accommodate the 'Big Rigs.' The Wifi was ok but there is no cable. Satellite dish wouldn't work because of the valley location. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Not the most flashy of places, but it was very acceptable and they happily took us in. The sites weren't amazing, but they definitely were not bad either. It was clean, and that is better than some other places we stayed at.

Compared to other places, the wifi was great. We had a pretty fast internet speed which was great for my family.

Overall, I have nothing to really complain about. I would stay again if I was to be in the area, since it's close to my boat. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Motorhome.

This isn't a bad campground to spend a few days in. It's not the prettiest, nor is it the best kept, but it's certainly acceptable. The spaces were large enough for our 43 foot RV (we had to park the toad at an angle to keep it out of the street though) and all the hookups worked fine. And their internet access was very, very good, even when the park was full. It's very convenient to the great town of Prince Rupert, which we enjoyed very much. And, as others have said, the campground is very close to the ferry landing. If you're in a space near the main road that fronts the campground, which we were, you're going to get a lot of traffic noise - trucks, cars, loud motorcycles, etc. It wasn't too bad late at night, but the traffic noise was pretty constant all day. Moreover, there are quite a few late arrivals who get off of a ferry. So, this isn't the quietest park. In fact, it's the noisiest we've stayed in for quite some time. Regardless, we'd stay here again without hesitation just to have a chance to visit Prince Rupert. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Park is set up about 1.5 miles from downtown, nice set up on a hill. Spots and hook-ups very nice. Bathroom seems a little dirty, no TP in the bathroom, water not very warm. Needs more places hooks to hang clothes. Not sure if the blower in the shower area was a heater or not. For this price the bathroom should be super. Also charged me $2 a day for the dog. Nice places to walk dog, though. If they remodeled the shower area this place would be a 10/9. Wi-Fi did work great on spot 16 on top of hill. Not much choice when you come here. We did bike to downtown--hilly. Laundry is closed from 8 PM to 9 AM. The spaces here are great, hook-ups great gravel with lots of grass. No bugs. Overall disappointing I guess would stay again since it's the only place. If had choice, no. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Motorhome.

We got off the ferry at 2:15 in the morning and were happy to find this campground open this late in the season. We were given a discount since we only were here half the night the first night. We choose our own spot, level and grassy with full hook-up. Excellent Wi-Fi. It's not the prettiest spot, but served our needs well. The laundry was out of service (or closed for the season). We stayed two nights and would return. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Owner is a bit grumpy but we decided to give him some slack after his wife told us he suffered from a head injury. Got us 2 side by side spaces with no advance reservation with full hookups in an otherwise pretty full park. While not spectacular in view this park is open, easy to access and generally well kept once you look past 2 of the 4 clothes dryers inoperable and 1 of the 3 showers down but then were not picky and did not have to wait in line for either service. Firewood is expensive at $15 for large bundle, we made it last 2 nights. Good satellite and wifi reception. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Not pretty, but big spaces and good Wi-Fi. Very close to the ferry terminal. Laundry is old and it takes two trips through the dryer to be effective. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is nice and very convenient to the ferry. There is space between sites, grass, nice gravel interior roads and clean restrooms. It is not particularly scenic, but it served our purposes just fine, and I would recommend it. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Yes, this is an "older" site, and yes, some of the sites are sloped in one axis (use wheel or tongue blocks?!) and yes the rest rooms and showers are not new and a bit "tired" however, it is very close to town and the ferry, the site is a nice one with open areas and trees; there is a playground for kids;tent platforms and a large picnic shelter for tents; the picnic tables are almost all new; the manager is interesting friendly and was helpful to us. We have stayed in far worse campgrounds! We rate it a 6 only because of its age. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park is run-down. Expected much better for the only RV park near the ferry terminal. One washroom building is locked up. The other is fairly clean but only one shower on the men's side works. Instead of replacing a nozzle, they screwed the door shut! The third shower has no light. The laundry was in bad shape. WiFi was available but intermittent. Apparently this park was run by the city until it was sold a couple of years ago. Needs some money put back into maintenance! It's a black eye for the community. We camped at Prince Rupert RV Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
