The good - the park was clean, tidy and neat. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Nice touches like a book exchange and a playground for children. The park is also close to Revelstoke - either walk or drive across the Big Eddy bridge and you are there. The bad - very tight sites with no privacy at all between sites, noise from the CPR main railroad which runs right along one boundary fence with trains 24/7, and muddy and rutted roads and sites in heavy rain. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Go to the Revelstoke Dam Visitor Centre and also the Forestry Museum, both a 10 min drive north on Highway 23. Walk the nearby Big Eddy Dike path - we saw two moose 10 min walk from the campground!

Nice Campground, clean washrooms; A little too close to the next site; but OK for one night. The laundry was totally occupied by a group of young people who blocked all washing machines and dryers and left behind a lot of dirt. The host was very friendly and the food at the restaurant excellent for a reasonable price. Online reservation without any issues. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

Very crowded park. Small, jammed sites. The person who came into the site behind us almost hit us with his rig. Had to go over and tell the young folks tenting near us to "Knock with the multiple F-bombs" as they got drunker and higher. Picked this park because there are not a lot of options here with full hookups, which is what we wanted, as well as close to Revelstoke National Park. Also close to rail traffic, so noisy 24 X 7 from trains. Not a top pick on this trip. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Glacier and Revelstoke National Parks are amazing for the entry price. As we were driving in from the east, we were able to hit both Rogers Pass at Glacier and Revelstoke in one 24-hour period, for a single entry price.

We were on a two week excursion up from the states. By far it was the nicest place we stayed. Clean well kept park with the owners really striving to met our needs. Very dog friendly with large grass areas big enough to throw the Frisbee for out dog. There is some train noise but no whistle blowing. We plan on going up to stay for a week in the very near future. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I stayed in a FHU economy site; i.e., back-in vs pull-thru. It took a bit of maneuvering to get my trailer level, but it was manageable. I love that this park is just across the road from the Dyke Path (a walking trail perfect for the dogs). If you're not a lover of trains, then this park may not be for you. Trains run day and night so just be aware. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

There are a myriad of things to do in and around Revelstoke. It's an easy walk to town from this park and a paved walking/biking trail is just across the road.

OUR FAV RV PARK. Location, Wifi, and Service make this park a 10. The park is a small cozy setting just across the river from town and an easy walk to a lovely set of restaurants and shops. Good cell coverage and some spots open to sky for sat service. No longer has TV cable but wifi and cell good enough to stream. There is a small play area for kids and a volley ball court. Simple grassy surroundings make you feel at home with lovely views of the mountains. They even have a kitchen to use if you are not self contained. Laundry and showers available. Sites by the office were open to the sky for Dish. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate was $36 USD. No discount was offered. Site was a long pull-thru on grass. Site was level, FHU; 30 amp and had a picnic table. The adjacent site was close and our sewer connection was next to their picnic table. The staff was friendly and the location was good for visiting Mt. Revelstoke and Glacier National parks. We had good Verizon cell and internet reception and good DishTV reception. The park's WiFi was a bit iffy. The campground is in a residential neighborhood. We would stay here again. We stayed for one night in our 10 metre RV in this neatly laid out 'parkland' site. The pitch was big and on grass with some shade. The proprietor was extremely helpful and we basically had an uneventful and pleasant stay. There is some train noise but not enough to disturb sleep where we were. The WiFi was very good which is of course a big plus these days! We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

Close to town (2km) and a great walking trail on other side of river. Lots to do in area, however, the Revelstoke Info Center folks were less than helpful. We wanted info on hiking and they were of no help. Best to go to the ranger station.

We had a very pleasant stay during our week stay. We had a pull through for our 41' foot 5th wheel. Full hookups with cable. WiFi worked very well, even when the park filled up in the evenings. Laundry room had two washers and two dryers. Both worked very well. New owners who are very customer oriented. About one mile walking distance to downtown grocery store, bakery and restaurants. The train trestle is close by but after a day we were accustomed to it. Would most definitely stay again. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This quaint campground right by the river was perfect for our two night stay. The owners live in a home right at the park and they are most helpful and friendly. The sites are close but you have a feeling that you are camping in someone's backyard, which is what you are, and it is comfortable. There is WiFi on site. We did not try over air television. There is a train that goes by right behind the park but they do not blow the whistle so it is not disruptive. They have set the park up so that all sites have picnic tables, clean restrooms and showers, a separate covered room with picnic tables, and a clean laundry room. The town of Ravenstoke is very cute and was fun to hike over there from the park. The nearby ravenstock mountain was a definite location to see while there. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This park has been a stop over, and on occasion we have stayed a few days. It has easy access to the city and highway. It has always been clean and well maintained. This year it has new owners. Not much has changed other than garbage containers have been made bear proof and the Wifi is soooo much better. We are here later in the season and expected an almost empty park but it was near capacity. Be sure to reserve if you can. We paid $46.15 Cdn inc tax and feel we paid a fair price. We will be back. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

a lovely campground, nice and quiet and off the highway. nice green lawn and very clean. The staff is fabulous and friendly. This campground is a great location to Revelstoke. The sites are very close together, grassy and well maintained. The sites are level and shady. There are 2 washers and dryers. They looked clean but I didn't use them. Bathrooms and grounds are kept very clean. There's only 30 amps here but the fastest free wifi I've seen in 10 months on the road. I was pulling 40mb d/l and it remained consistent for our entire stay even though the park was packed to capacity every night. There are trains close by. I did hear them overnight but it wasn't enough to bother me but if you are a very sensitive sleeper it may bother you. The cable tv was excellent and I had good cell signal for both data and voice on T-Mobile and ATT. The staff was very friendly. I didn't get the feeling there are many seasonal people here. All of the campers seemed to be very well kept with no junk laying around. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.

Have to agree that the trains can be a nuisance especially for light sleepers, but we're glad they weren't overly troublesome for you. Efficient in making reservation. Called day ahead of arrival to check conditions because of BC forest fires. Owner gave valid information with no threats in the area. Upon arrival, we were directed to a nearby site with easy access for our 39 foot motorhome towing a RAM behind us. Pleasant site in well manicured grassy area with shade on both sides. Water electric and sewer are all conveniently located. 30 amp electric provides steady 120V current with AC running. Park owners are pleasant and helpful in providing information about the park and surrounding area. We camped at Lamplighter Campground in a Motorhome.
