Overall Rating:

This is our park of choice when traveling through the area. Price went up a little from our last stay. The park is a short drive from HWY 99 (Exit 21: White Lane or Exit 20: Panama Lane) along busy multi lane city streets. But the streets are sufficient width for easy access to the park. Departing the park requires a Right turn (South) only (Exit 20: Panama Lane). There was an escort to the site. The sites are a mixture of back-ins along the outer edge or in the center and P/T's. There was an escort to the site. Extended stay sites seemed to be spread out between the back-ins and P/T's. The interior roads are paved. The site parking pads are a compacted material surface. The interior roads and turns are wide enough to negotiate without much problem. The parking pads are narrow. The P/T sites were long enough for coaches & their toads. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were level and flat. Distance and manicured grass lawns establishes privacy between the sites but they were close to each other. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were towards the middle of the sites. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Seem to remember there being an outside table. Don't remember fire pits at the sites but open fires are only permitted with Resort approval. There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. The park brochure showed 48 cable channels but no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi was good even with a lot of the sites occupied. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about the reception. No designated fenced pet area. The designated pet area was the grassy area outside of the park. The clubhouse, pool & hot tub amenities and park's appearance made this a pleasant stop over. Really no bad sites. The on-site restaurant with a take out menu & coach side delivery was a nice feature. Received a 10% coupon to dine in at the restaurant. Domino's deliver to the park. Super Walmart with ample RV parking is located off Panama Lane. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This resort is adjacent to a thoroughfare and railroad track is just across the road on one side. You do hear the traffic every now and then and the train but there were only a small number of trains each day. Check-in was a breeze and they gave us a warm cookie and some oranges. Our site was easy to get to, even though the roads are not really wide they have the sites at a steep angle so it is easy to pull through. The site I was assigned did not allow me to also have the TOAD on the dolly within the site. I did have to drop it. There was plenty of space to park though. All the neighbors were nice and the restaurant that is on site is fantastic. I had a taco salad that was very fresh. It is nice having a full-service restaurant on site as you can walk there and then walk back home in a minute or two. The amenities were nice, they had a pool, hot tub, and excersise room. they were limited for a playground for small children and they did not have a dog park. We would definitely return here if we ever stay in Bakersfield again. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Bakersfield has a number of nice RV parks. We usually stay here when passing through for 2 reasons. The first is our 37' Class A gasser appreciates the Costco gas station located on Panama being one of the least crowded around. Second, is the onsite restaurant, 'The Crest'. We've stayed here many times over the last decade and will continue to do so. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed at Bakersfield RV Resort many times over the past years. Always look forward to a great place to stay. We had not stayed in a few years and stayed yesterday Oct 2, 2018. Check in was great, taken to our spot as normal. We got out to hook up and the place has changed. It was filthy dirty. Dirt was everywhere. The place had not been cleaned for quite a while. The grass was dying, and although the rules say no permanents, there are several staying here. Also the advertised 50 + channels of cable, it was horrible.. I asked many other campers and they said the same that the cable was fuzzy at best. I asked at the front counter and they said sorry. What a shame for what used to be such a nice place. I will return, thanks. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed at horrible, shabby parks that cost twice as much as this per night. This is a very nice park! The sites are big and bright with grass and trees. There aren't many parks with a sit-down restaurant and bar but this one, the Crest Bar and Grill, has great food, a full menu, a full bar and patio dining if you wish and a super-friendly staff. We had a pull-through site that was nearly level and the sewer hook up was low and level to the ground, not like some parks that think that liquids flow uphill. They warn about thievery in this area and offer folks a complimentary bike locks. The baths are clean and modern and you need a code to enter, which I like. There is a nice store and gift shop pretty well stocked with supplies, small gifts and local wines. We would most definitely stay here again! We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lots of Basque influence in this area. Two Basque restaurants, Benji's and Woolgrowers. Good food but a little pricey. The stores carry local wines local grass-fed meats.

This is one of our favorite parks to spend a night or two at. Good hook-ups, well laid out AND you can get dinner delivered right to your door from their restaurant. AT&T good. Open sky for Sat dish. We stayed here in a pull thru for a 40 footer. You are parked on a concrete pad. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stopped here on many trips through the area always our first choice the park has been very accommodating for our needs and if something changes in your schedule they do their best to help It is always clean, the restaurant is excellent We stop here primarily because the pool is nice, the exercise room accommodating and anything you might need in the area is handy such as camping world (practically across the street) and Lowes etc. The staff is excellent and don't forget to try Lucilles BBQ up the street for some of the best California sweet bbq around. In general, this is a slightly better than average urban rv park. However, there is something fishy going on. They are given 5/5 stars on AllStays, with several glowing reviews. Frankly, the place just isn't a 5-star park. There is a nice restaurant/bar onsite which is unique, and it's clean, but that is it. What is very worrisome are the claims make on their website: "Blazing fast wireless internet" and "We offer complimentary, secure wireless Internet to our guests...a high-bandwidth connection; perfect for streaming your favorite online media sources, including Netflix, Pandora, Hulu, Spotify, you name it!" The truth is they offer a standard, unsecured 5mbps wifi. "We also offer complimentary DirecTV to each site. 48 channels of entertainment, news, sports and comedy directly to your RV, with no special equipment required." DirectTV® no way. Direct TV, maybe since they claim their cable TV is coming direct from a satellite, but all the channels are analog! My powered HD antenna was much better. Their claims in their brochure include "dog friendly" but they prohibit "aggressive breeds" with no specification. The brochure also claims that the restaurant is "Gourmet fine dining and great food." Good food, so far yes. Gourmet fine dining? Not anything close. There sure seems to be some false advertising going on here. So why are so few commenting on it???? We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The BEST RV park we've ever found! Everything, I mean everything was excellent! Service, facilities provided, cleanliness, friendliness, food, spacious. You name it, they've got it and it's as good as it gets! Easy in, easy out for big rigs. Trust me, RV parks don't get any better than this one. Pamper yourself and stay awhile. We had to get on our way so we overnighted here twice. But we wished we could have stayed! We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park for 4 days. The cable did not work when we arrived. They said they were having problems and put it on the board to be fixed. The wifi which is advertised as been able to stream Netflix could barely load my email. The hook ups are in the wrong spot so it was difficult to have all service hooked up at once. Sites are hard gravel and you need to ask to get a table. I left on day 4 and still no cable. I will look elsewhere to stay in the future. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The young man who escorted us drove very fast - and drove through our pull through site and was gone in a flash. He failed to tell us that towing a car you could not connect to utilities as they are all at the back of the site, so the car had to come off so I could back up. Nice idea a small trash basket on the utility pole - bad idea the beer bottle that was in my basket when I checked in was still there 2 days later. Note the majority of the sites do not have picnic tables. The parking surface was what I would call sand mixed with clay - and tracked into the motor home. Over all the park is overrated by Good Sam. This was a great place to stay, and I'd stay here again. They have a person guide you to your spot. There was plenty of room for my trailer and tow vehicle in the spot. There is a restaurant and store on the premises. The bathroom and showers were clean. It is near grocery stores, etc., too. We camped at Bakersfield RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
