We have stayed at this park many times over the years and stayed twice on this last trip. It never disappoints. Great staff, clean and well cared for grounds with good interior roads and spacing between sites. As has been noted in most all past reviews, you park between rows of orange trees and are able to pick as many as you want when they are in season. Unfortunately in May they are not so we missed our fresh orange juice this trip. Everything in the park 'works' and works well and this provides for a safe and convenient stopover for us when in the Bakersfield area. If you are looking for a very nice RV park to stay at while in the general area by all means check this one out. As I said prior, it does not disappoint. The price has gone up over the past year or so but we find this to be true in most all RV parks now due to the general operating costs the parks have incurred. As RVers we pay the price to enjoy the RV life........... We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Out of the main part of Bakersfield itself and located just off Hwy 58 at the Edison Road exit. There is a very nice and well stocked fruit and nut stand/shop called The California Fruit Depot adjacent to the park that is within walking distance. Some really 'good stuff' you can sample before buying....................

These folks are doing it all right. Park is easy to find, wide open entry, lanes well marked. Polite desk agent efficiently got our registration done and our assigned pill -through site mapped out in 2 minutes. Paved roads, packed gravel sites and orange trees throughout. Very nice office/TV area. The nice young lady gave me a partial bag of ice on this hot day. Thank you, we will be back! We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

This a is a very nice RV park. Wide, paved interior roads and very spacious sites for a commercial park. You park among the orange trees and are encouraged to pick the fruit. There are several classes of sites: full hook-up pull-through with and without cable TV, monthly full hook-up, and pull-in sites with just water and electric. We choose the later to save a few bucks. The restrooms were very clean. The office staff was helpful enough but seemed more interested in talking among themselves. There were free coffee and doughnuts in the morning and three fenced off-leash dog parks. Although I guess it's technically in Bakersfield, it feels like you're out on the country. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Have been here before and it is always pleasant. There are citrus trees between sites which afford nice privacy. They allow you to pick the oranges which are amazingly sweet! Best OJ we've had in a long time! Easy check in, easy maneuverability in the park to site. Easy off and on freeway but far enough away we noticed no noise. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a good stop for our trips from Northern California heading south. We have stayed here several times. The park is clean, sites are level, all pull through. Lots of orange trees, and the office supplies long "pickers" to harvest them. My only complaint is the trains at night. I'm not a heavy sleeper, so they often wake me up. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Conveniently located but prices have gotten so high that we will seriously look for another park. We just want a safe place to sleep overnight. Don't need the showers, restrooms, or pool. Some trees need to be trimmed. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Excellent in every way, even though their prices have gone up just like all the other parks. We arrived late, envelope was on the door, paid in the morning and a doughnut on my way out. This is a great park, just east of Bakersfield, so when you leave to travel east in the morning, you don't have to fight the Bakersfield traffic. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Arrived late, left early. There was envelope with site number and map on bulletin board. Note, since they do not charge you in advance, make sure to pay before you leave, or call with payment information. My one negative was a MH parked at the end of the row, on the pavement, and had hooked up to my pedestal, since there was nothing for them. I have no idea if that is where they were directed, or they just snuck in. Since I needed the outlet, and paid for it, I unplugged the other person... This was my 5th and 6th stay at this excellent RV campground/resort, going to/from Las Vegas. It has only gotten better over the years. Gravel pull-throughs, level and clean. Oranges, oranges, oranges. Sites are woven into a thriving orange grove filled with deliciously sweet oranges. The proprietor will loan you an orange -picking pole and you can fill a bag, no limits. Restrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. There is a swimming pool and clubhouse. The service staff are very courteous and helpful. Oh, did I mention they serve coffee and donuts every morning starting at 7am. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

We always like to go to this park. The spaces are gravel and the interior roads are paved and cement. The sites services are very in the middle of the sites. The sites are among the orange trees and available for picking in season. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is becoming expensive but still a nice place to stay. Second time to stay here. I will again say, stay here sometime in the winter...the oranges are to die for! You will never enjoy another orange from somewhere else. You can pick all you want. Nice gravel full hookup level 50 amp sites. Friendly people, free donuts in the morning, and right off the highway. Dog run and pool. Will be back. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

An RV Park in an orange grove is very special. Visitors are allowed to pick as many oranges as the family will use. The management provides poles with baskets for picking the oranges u can't reach and even some bags to haul away your pickin's. Doughnuts and coffee are provided free of charged every morning. I'm talking fresh bakery doughnuts! The laundry room was spacious and clean . $1.75wash and $1.50 dry. They even have a heavy duty commercial washer which I jumped on for some blankets our dog had an accident on. They could use a couple of those baskets on wheels to move your wash over to the dryer. One load left a nasty water trail across the floor. Loved that the folding table was taller than most so that you don't need to bend over to fold clothes. Saved my back. Very thoughtful small things make this park very special. I think they have at least 3 dog parks. Two are small grassy fenced areas. Pooh bags and a garbage can are provided. Very clean. The third is in the orchard and isn't grassy but much larger. Our site was provided a nice picnic table but our orange tree was small and didn't provide much shade. No hot tub...darn...but a nice swimming pool that wasn't heated. Free wi-fi was very good. Free cable has plenty of stations with good reception. Very clean and relaxing We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: November, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first stay at Orange Grove, and it pretty much sets the bar. The sites are 60' or 90' long, and almost all are pull-thrus except some in the long-term area, which is separate from the transient side. The bathrooms and showers were spotless, the grounds are tidy and clean, and there are orange trees everywhere! It wasn't quite picking season yet in November, but it was still neat to see all the oranges on the trees. While the roads inside the park are fairly easy to navigate, the amount of orange trees does mean larger rigs will need to swing really wide to make some of the turns. We camped at Orange Grove RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Need to give a shout out to Pacific Power in Bakersfield - they were able to repair our generator on short notice, and did a great job for a really reasonable price. Lots of produce in the area, take advantage of what's in season.
