Had a bad customer service episode here. But first, about the park itself: Long established and popular small clean park on hillside in the Bodega Bay area. Adjacent to coast highway 1. No water views. Have plenty of leveling blocks ready. Some sewer connections are too high, making it difficult or impossible to properly drain tanks. We had to finish up at the dump station which is level. Coast beaches about a 30 min hike. Near restaurants and shops. Have stayed here many times. Earlier review is also posted. I give the facility 3-4 stars. But on this visit, my brand new RV broke down on its maiden run to this park where I had reservations. I called and told them I could not make it. But just an hour later we fixed the RV, phoned the park and told them we'd arrive as originally booked. They insisted on a $75 cancel fee nevertheless, which we paid. And the park was only 1/2 full. Not customer friendly at all. So we will never return here. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Originally this campground was not on our itinerary. We had only planned to stay one night and although the website said a minimum of 3 nights was required, when we called, they were able to accommodate us. The owners are friendly and very helpful. Because of the awful weather, they said we could check in as soon as we got here. We ended up staying 6 nights. The campground is very clean & well cared for; the laundry room spotless. The sites are gravel (mostly level) with a little grass at each end and a picnic table. Sites are wide and are divided by a small fence which does not give any privacy but adds to the ambiance. There are two dog parks one each for small & large dogs. There is trail access to a State Park. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is in a very convenient location. There are not many Bodega Bay options and this is close to everything. The roads are very tight, twisty, turny and bumpy coming in, but that is the nature of the whole area. It's right on Hwy 1, so heaven (beautiful scenery) is all around. The park is immaculate. The sites are gravel but they are extremely neat and clean, the stones are raked. They are a generous size, with attractive fencing/shrubs separating them, and have nice big clean picnic tables. The bathrooms are surprisingly nice and clean. Everything is well cared for and highly organized. There is no Good Sam Discount. The internet did not work well for me, but I was working and needed a more powerful connection, it worked okay for my boyfriend just doing regular stuff. Verizon service/ hot spot worked great. Next time we will try to another park near the Marina as it is really pretty on the water and they have big fire pits. This one is more protected with a tree line all around. So no views. Fun for gatherings though, with gaming (putt putt, horseshoes etc). We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Grocery stores are nearby, but small. Recommend Diekmann's. If you want a bigger grocery store, go before coming into Bodega Bay. No big grocery stores around. Enjoyed $6 wine Happy Hour at Gourmet au Bay close by with water views. Food was a little expensive but very good. Can't beat the wine prices!

We were well received when We checked in, and the girl in the office was extremely pleasant and helpful. We will come back and stay here again. WiFi was working and our site was almost perfectly level (gravel sites). Very well groomed! Very quiet at night and many stars in the sky. Even the milky way! The site was very spacious and roomy. A well maintained park, everything very neat and clean. Sites have a small fence to define edge of site. Long enough for the motorhome with tow attached. Sewer at the back of site and took extra sections to connect. Sewer opening almost as high as motorhome outlet. Wifi worked well as did Verizon. They have a area with games set up such as corn toss and others. A small dog run. Bathrooms were very clean. A small store with a few supplies. A restaurant and coffee shop on property. Many beautiful views of the ocean nearby. Also several nice beaches. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park with great staff. We stayed there with a group of friends and enjoyed the park. It is very quiet even though it is close to Highway 1. The spaces were fairly level and the hookups were in very good shape. We had good Verizon signal, although our friends only got an adequate signal with AT&T. We had a filtered view of the bay. There is a lot to do in the area and good restaurants. We will definitely return. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.

If you are in the Bodega Bay area, this is a good rv park. It is small and hilly with limited sites available in the summer. Lots of people come to the area so you need reservations early. The full hookups are pricey. We stayed in a bottom lot by the pet pen with no facilities. The water and sewer dump are up top and very difficult to back into. Tight tight spaces so you need to be a good driver. Verizon worked well so we used our hot spot. No tv reception in the cheap seats. Full hookups have cable. We were in a space with trees behind us so no sat but the cell service was good enough to stream. Lots of weekenders so come during the week is best. Many groups come and reserve early. If the bottom, self-maintained (no services) sites are full when you arrive, you will have a very difficult time getting a big rig in. No one was here when we came and still tight. Our site was very unlevel and our auto levelers could not fix it enough. We were at a lean all weekend but that is different with every site. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The area is fantastic. Beautiful views, great food and wildlife. This is a true fishing village with many SF locals coming up for the weekend. Love the area. Long and difficult to get to but well worth the windy coast roads. UP and down the 1, are beautiful drives with great ocean views. All the local eateries on the harbor are excellent. Very casual and friendly.

Nice little hillside RV park in Bodega Bay. Friendly staff. Nice facilities, not fancy but good. You'll need to level your rig...just about every site slopes downhill. I needed a stack of 3 orange levelers on one side. The sewer hose connections are all on the uphill side of your rig and are practically even or even higher than many rigs' discharge. I had to take my rig to their dump station to fully empty it. Water tastes bad and fouled my filter to brown in just 3 days. Bodega Bay can be VERY windy and cold. The site they gave me -45- was a virtual wind tunnel...like Antarctica. And an impromptu trailhead terminated in our very site...and people traipsed right through, nonplussed! Still, it's a nice little park. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here many times over the years and it has become one of our favorite parks. If you can use a shorter back in, the spaces on the north side of the park are ideal. They back up to the community park so you don't have neighbors in back of you. There are some very nice trials to walk and the memorial bell tower is there. It's just a beautiful place for a three or four day getaway. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed for five nights at Bodega Bay RV Park in our 40' fifth wheel and were satisfied with our stay. We were fortunate to be able to upgrade to site 25, a FHU site that sits next to the bathhouse. Our pull-through was gravel and was plenty long enough to hold our rig, tow vehicle and extra vehicle (extra $5 per night). The site was an adequate width and had a fence between us and our neighbor. The roads were wide enough that there was no trouble maneuvering a big rig through the campground. The campground was tidy and well maintained. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and laundry room were well maintained. The laundry room has 3 washers and 3 driers ($2 each per load). It didn't have many other amenities but we were there to visit the area, rather than hang out in the campground. The wifi worked pretty well most of the time. The campground is about a mile north on Hwy 1 from the center of Bodega Bay. The drive along Hwy 1 can be a challenge in a big rig but it's certainly doable is you go slowly around the curves. Although the rates were higher than we were used to paying, there weren't many other options close to the town and it is California. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our park. We do have Wi-Fi in the park, and it is a FREE service, unlike most RV parks that charge. We also have two repeaters so there is service throughout the park.
That being said, we are limited by the amount of bandwidth that we can get from Comcast here in Bodega Bay. When the park is full (which it is in summer) not everyone will be able to stream videos. Picking up emails and searching the web for a place to eat is about all that you can do.
Most of our guests appreciate our free Wi-Fi, free hot showers, free DVD rentals, free game rentals, clean sites, quiet settings, fresh air, hiking trails to the beach, and our world famous happy and polite staff.

We just returned from a 4 day stay it this park. We're pleasantly surprised with the park. The staff very friendly. We have a 40 ft. Motorhome and no problem getting in and out. We had enough room to park our car next to motorhome. The park was very quiet. Around the park there are trees that block the wind. The grounds are very clean and they have a nice dog area. There is a Mexican restaurant right next to the park and they also serve breakfast. We enjoyed some wonderful fish dinners! We stayed at the other rv park last time but this is by far so much better. We enjoyed our stay so much that we made reservations for the end of July. Pop. We camped at Bodega Bay RV Park in a Motorhome.
