I have stayed there several times over the last six years, in different spaces for extended amounts of time. The manager always came out and greeted us with a smile and kindly guided us in our space. She is very professional and patient allowing us to get hooked up and settled in and was extremely helpful. Every time we stayed it was peaceful and quiet. Definitely a great place, I would highly recommend this park too anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay with laundry facilities, pool, patio, picnic area, barbecue grills for use and horseshoe pit. We always look forward too staying ! - Misty Jordan

I have stayed at this park on our travels on numerous occasions. The manager is friendly and helpful. She is the biggest reason we return every year. The park is clean. The pool is well kept when we arrive in the summer. The people we have interacted with in the park are friendly. Even though it is an older park it is well maintained. We will continue to return to this park. - Living_Life

A charming park with Koch grounds and lots of shade trees. - Epine
Aug 2008 - $30.00
Park was nice, quiet, and people were very friendly. Close to Hwy 99, and we were able to get to all the places we needed to get to. - rkedwards
Mar 2006 - $25.00
Easy access just off Hwy 99. One night stay while traveling North. No frills: nice and simple. Park was quiet and clean as most people were living here full time and working. - Darla

Like most COE campgrounds, this one is well off the beaten path. Twenty miles from Chowchilla. Avenue 26 out of town is very rough. Have to run slow! We stayed 8 days over the Labor Day weekend and the place was packed till Monday then we were one of only two people there. It was wonderful! Our site was hard to level the unit but a lot of them were more level. Big site with awning over the big picnic table. Nice fire ring. Our cell service (Verizon) and hotspot worked well. The Volunteers were GREAT! We saw them patrol the park regularly and very friendly. The park is also patrolled by the Sheriffs department. (I was stopped and warned for not using my seat belt.) Morgan, the park Ranger was more then helpful. He spent more then 30 minutes standing in the hot sun telling us about how the water level fluctuates more than 40 feet during the year. No sewer but the dump station was convenient and easy to use. My only complaint is the big scratches down the side of my unit. My RV is 13ft tall and the branches are only 12ft off the ground. Make sure you have all the supplies you need. It is twenty miles to town. - Roamer on wheels
Aug 2018 - $30.00
This campground is well kept. It has some 50 amp sites which is helpful when you stay there in the middle of summer like we did (testing out a new motorhome). There are a few sites with full hook ups. - Mark 5252
Apr 2016 - $15.00
This is a beautiful park indeed IF you want to get away from the city and enjoy the great outdoors. Facilities were spotless. All hookups were fine. The price is great. Dump station is easy to use. There is plenty of hiking, walking and fishing to keep you busy. Be prepared for: rough roads going out to the park, no wifi, very sketchy wireless service and active rattlesnakes. Just be prepared. We stayed here for 8 days and enjoyed everyday knowing that you must be vigilant and watch the trail or road in front of you. This campground would be a 10 if the roads were a bit better getting there. Its worth the trip!! - Beech35p

This is a large park set on the side of a hill, so some of the access roads, though paved, are a bit tight of a large motorhome. Our grassy site was level but a bit narrow and just long enough for our 38' MH and car. Water, sewer, and electric hookups were convenient. WiFi was reliable and had pretty good thruput. We didn't use the bathrooms. The laundry was neat, clean, and reasonably priced. We thought the price was slightly high for this level of amenities, especially since we also had to pay for an Escapee membership to reserve a spot. - DaveInOhio
Feb 2018 - $10.00
We loved everything about this park - from the welcoming people to the nice neighbors we had. Other than tricky roads in some loops, everything is great here! The entrance to Yosemite NP is 30 minute away with plenty to do at the campground or around. Wifi worked well, great activities, beautiful grounds. I could have spent a week just birding behind the clubhouse! - chantalcnrobw
Jul 2017 - $26.00
Just finished a week at this park and thoroughly enjoyed our time here. It is an Escapees SKP park, so you have to be an Escapees member or guest to stay here. The rate we paid includes electricity. We could have paid $16 and had them read the meter and paid for electric seperate. It was our choice. VERY peaceful and quiet. Our site was large and shaded. No satellite access due to trees, but the cable was fine as well as local stations from Fresno. Utilities were properly placed and worked well.
This is an Escapees coop park so the sites are owned by members and they rent out empty ones while the owner is gone. Some have a lot of improvements, others not so much. Everyone pitches in on maintenance and upkeep. Huge clubhouse with big laundry and large clean bathrooms. Everyone, from the folks in the office to the residents you meet on the street are friendly and welcoming. Good central location for access to golf and sightseeing (Yosemite). It is NOT fancy, but it works very well. We will return again. - FireFlyer
Aug 2018 - $35.00
We stopped here for an overnight stay. It is a fenced and gated location with power, water and sewer connections. The spaces are very small, basically on an asphalt parking lot located behind the livestock show area. It's not an RV park per se, I suppose its more for the fair personnel or attendee's. That being said, the staff on the phone and the night watchman were very helpful and polite. we arrived around 12:30AM and the Watchman met us at the gate and escorted us to the RV area. Since there was no one else around, we didn't have to unhook, which was a good thing. For an overnight stay, it was a good value. We were able to sleep securely, wake up with coffee and a shower before hitting the road again. It beat the heck out of a highway rest stop or Walmart parking lot. - JP-JP
Jul 2014 - $20.00
As it was July, we knew it would be hot and it was. The campsites were on blacktop and the temp is 105 F., all in the sun. Ugh! Went to use the rest room and shower, big mistake. There was mosquito larvae in the toilet, at least the water was potable. Now for a nice cool shower. Turned on the cold water and waited and waited; it got hotter and hotter. Checked the tap out side same thing. With great wisdom the pipes were run in the peak of the roof where it was very hot, NO COLD WATER. Enjoy your stay!
This is a very substandard stopping place; you can't call it a Park as you have minimal amenities and are subject to the influx of animals right where you park. The animal pens are in the open air building right in front of the parking area. This facility was an afterthought of the fair board.
Don't stop, you will be better off at Wal-Mart. If you do stop, check it out before you pay. - Tom G Oregon unit
May 2014 - $15.00
Due to upcoming events (several days away) we were directed to a lot behind the building for "Satellite Wagering". From the street to the lot where we were to park there were two locked gates. We had been given the combination to the locks. The lot had space for about a dozen rigs. All back in sites. Good hook-ups but it was all downhill from there! The surface of the lot was ground up asphalt mixed with cigarettes and dog droppings! It was disgusting and we will not stay there again. - User2209
Jan 2019 - $50.00
Smaller, but very clean RV park. Two rounds of golf come with the site, if you are a golfer. FHUs with good power and water pressure. Not much in Chowchilla, but there is a decent grocery store nearby. There is a pool and a hot tub, but we didn't use it as it is still too cold out. Quiet, and well maintained park. Great overnight stopping spot if you are traveling north or south on Highway 99. We would stay here again. - kandbbrown
Nov 2018 - $66.00
We stayed a couple of nights passing through the area. This was our third stay. No changes from our last visit. Still a nice park even with the few weaknesses it has. We had to settle for a pull-in off the lake (pond) as none of the other sites off the lake (pond) were available. The park is a short drive from HWY 99 (Exit 170: Roberts Rd/26th Ave) along paved, 2 lane roads. The park has gated access so you're given a remote to open the gate. The sites are a mixture of back-ins along the outer edge or pull-ins around the lake and P/T's. The back-ins and pull-ins seemed to be the extended stay sites. The interior roads are paved. The site parking pads are concrete but there is significant bump to transition from the road to the pad similar to driving over a curb. Several of the parking pads are experiencing broken concrete. The interior roads and turns are wide enough to negotiate without much problem. The parking pads are narrow. The P/T sites were long enough for coaches & their toads. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as the sites were level and flat. Distance or hedge rows establishes privacy between the sites. There are manicured grass lawns with the sites and throughout the park. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. There were multiple utility connections hidden in the hedge rows which made accessing them difficult requiring a lot of hose/cord. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. Seem to remember there being an outside table. Only a few of the sites had fire pits but there was a common fire pit at the clubhouse. Curbside garbage pickup. There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. The park brochure show 24 channel cable line but made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. - bsb814

This park was just a one night stop over for us, we didn't even unhook our tow car. However, we want to share our experience! From the beginning, when I made the reservation, the customer service was excellent. Then, on the day of our arrival, we were running late; we got a call from their office asking when we would arrive. They wanted to make sure that we knew where our info would be to find out site, and that we were able to get in the locked gate. Overall the park was very nice; well landscaped, very clean; nice level concrete pad with patio. We were traveling to a dog show, so to have a nice, grassy fenced dog run near our site was a real bonus! Our dogs loved it. Too bad we weren't staying longer, the pool and spa area was very inviting but we had no time to take advantage of it. - MarvMarvs
Jun 2018 - $42.00
Small park, tight spots but lots of shade and everything worked fine including cable. Friendly people and helpful the park was full of construction workers there to work on the high speed train. Pet friendly with a nice dog run this is a good one nighter on route to Yosemite. - D and PK
Jan 2017 - $33.00
Friendly people, they gave us an adapter for the 50amp space but electricity didn't work at our spot. They offered us a different graveled site or in the parking lot along the neighboring building. With all of the rain we chose the flat lot. The train is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET!!! Wifi was being re-done, so it didn't work. A bit pricey for the accommodations but there's not much to choose from on 99. - mac2school
Aug 2016 - $39.00
Staff is very friendly as well as the people staying in the park. This was a great place to stay for overnight. Our pull through was long enough to stay hooked up. The only negative comment would be that the train is very close and does wake you up and it would have been nice to have a picnic table. Location is great. Roads are nicely paved. Large concrete patio. - Nini03
