We stayed here for 7 nights in the "dry camping" area (87, 88). The sites are spread apart nicely and it is very quiet at night when we were there. No street lights and you can see the stars/moon easily. The coyotes were out in force in the evenings and early morning singing to us. The staff (mostly volunteers) were very nice and very informative on the wildlife and vegetation. There is a cement path to the Visitors Center that was about a ½ mile walk... but well worth the walk through the sage and cactus. The Visitors Center was amazing with many movies of the area. This is our second year here and we will be back again next year. The late spring/summer/early fall is not the time to come here because of the heat. We enjoyed 60-high 70 degree weather with a sprinkle of rain (very light) on one of the days. This campground is well worth the stay. We camped at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park - Tamarisk Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.

In Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Not actually in Borrego Springs but only about a beautiful 15 minute drive away. Two hiking trails located right outside the gate with some wonderful desert scenery. 27 sites on 10 acres within a grove of Tamarisk trees. Hot showers which you need quarters to use. Restrooms/showers were very clean. Rangers were very friendly. There is a table, shade ramada and a fire pit/grill at each site. Sites are asphalt with dirt surround for tent use. We camped at Anza-Borrego Desert State Park - Tamarisk Grove Campground in a Travel Trailer.
