Beautiful little park set on the shores of Bridgeport Reservoir. Excellent trout fishing. The park has complimentary paddle boards, kayaks, and a paddleboat. Owners and staff are outstanding. Quaint eclectic decorating and landscaping add to the charm. Easy driving distance to Yosemite, Mammoth Mountain, and many gorgeous lakes. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bring plenty of provisions, nearest large grocery store 50 miles to Mammoth Mountain, 68 miles to Walmart in Gardnerville, NV. Local General store has some fruits and vegetables and there is a meat market, lots of restaurants.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The view from all the sites is about as good as it gets: lake, meadows and mountains. The restrooms were very clean and the showers were warm and had adequate pressure. Kayaks were available for use, free of charge. Everything at the site worked well but there was no cable or air TV. The proprietor explained that cable service had been cut off when the region moved to fiber optics and that he would have a fiber optic connection soon. Although the sites were a bit closer together than we would have liked, the beautiful view and the excellent service made up for it. We would definitely return to this camp. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park many different times; usually in May and October. I have been there once in July....many bugs...not so in May and October. The owners are very nice folks and will do whatever they can to offer assistance if you require it. They usually make improvements to their park every year. Although fire pits at the sites are not provided, you can use your portable pit to enjoy a fire. The owners are willing to work with you if you must make a late cancellation. Their WiFi is OUTSTANDING! They have a fish cleaning station within the park. We will always stay here when coming to the Bridgeport area. The only negative is that they do not offer cable TV. That is not a show stopper in our opinion. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Great place if you like to fish. Many different places to fish within a reasonable driving distance including, of course, Bridgeport reservoir. Check out Bodie and the many backroad adventures.

I can't speak any more highly of this park because a place such as this is rare. The staff and owners are some of the best people I have ever met. They are the kindest people and they really do care that you enjoy your stay. Great Saturday night bonfires and a very clean and pleasant atmosphere. This place will never disappoint you. Stayed for 4 days in this quiet, friendly park. The reservoir was low but the dog enjoyed it. They have a dog wash that was great. We had a motorhome with a dolly so they gave us 2 sites for the price of one even though they were full over the week-end. Owners on site and very friendly. Our initial impression of this park was "kind of funky" and that remained consistent throughout our 4 day stay. If you prefer to be lined up like little soldiers in a sanitized park, this is not for you. If you enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in a squeaky clean park where the owners make every effort to make your stay enjoyable, this is for you. There is an outdoor patio with wonderful views of the mountains, the restrooms are actually decorated and the laundry is clean.
Space for larger rigs is limited so be honest when you call, power is 30 Amp only and not really, water pressure is low. These all sound like negatives but they did not detract from our stay. Verizon worked fine. We would stay here again. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Spectacular view over the lake to surrounding mountains, and lovely spring flowers & trees in the park, they are planting the summer crop now. No cable at this time, but excellent wifi. Verizon worked in the park, AT&T only worked in town. They not only have clean, impressively well stocked bathrooms (Cue tips, razors & Etc.) but a small but very well stocked wall of RV essential supplies in the office, and they sell propane refills. Used the excellent Laundromat (front loading washers), also noticed a free dog wash area. No problems maneuvering our 30' 5th wheel, the advice to look for the best site for your windows is spot on, the snow covered mountains were beautiful. Just under 2 miles into Bridgeport, cute town, several restaurants & a grocery. 6 miles to Bodie cut-off, then a further 13 (3 is dirt road) to Bodie ghost town, $5 per person state park fee, $6 stamp mill tour which was excellent. Bring lunch, picnic area at park.

Lake is down but not out. We stayed in lower level spot with 180 degree view of water and surrounding mountains. The owners are very nice, helpful and working hard to improve the park. This is a small park but each site was of sufficient size to accomodate a full sized motorhome. There is a community fire pit, happy hour setting, and lots of planted flowers around the park. The wifi worked flawlessly and I was able to use my satelite dish for TV. The gravel sites on the part of the park are level and provide a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountians. The restrooms were small but very clean with small added touches such as razors and q tips. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park. Gravel but a little dusty in the wind. Level sites. The staff are very friendly and the owners are working hard to spruce up the place. Our cell phones didn't work in the park but did in town, a mile down the road. Other cell phones did work. I would stay there again. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Roomy spaces, park is all gravel. Upper parking is pretty level, lower area, (nearest the water) slopes, and you probably need blocks when leveling. Very friendly people, great area. I have 3 dogs and it was great to be able to take them away from campground, near the lake, and turn them loose to run. Trout are stocked in the lake and neighboring creeks. Great fishing. Will return here next year. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 6 days and found nothing wrong with the park. The owners are super friendly, the restrooms and shower super clean and the atmosphere calm and quiet with a great view. We stayed in the lower level with a view of the lake in a 37' RV. The spot was gravel but even and level with plenty of room for 3 slide outs. Love this park, will definitely go back. The bonus it is close to many fishing areas. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week, so the rate reflects the weekly discount. We were given our choice of sites, and selected one on the lower level, close to the lake. The owner offered to guide us in if we needed help. We had been here about 5 years ago, and it has changed owners. The young couple now running the place are working their tails off to make the campground even better than it used to be. Our site is gravel and level, and not too close to the ones on either side, in my opinion. The restrooms are immaculate, and in the ladies room, there are free disposable razors, Q-tips, and tampons. The laundry room is also immaculate-$1.25 for a wash and $1 for a 45-minute dry cycle that got our clothes completely dry. The WiFi signal is strong--no problems the whole week we were here. Yes, we have no cell coverage (we use AT&T), but with great WiFi I really didn't need it. You can go into Bridgeport for that, anyway. The office sells RV supplies, and promises that if you need anything they don't have, they can have it delivered here the next day. They also have some shirts, souvenirs, ice cream treats, and snacks. We will definitely return. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for almost two weeks. Clean park with beautiful mountain views. Our site was just few feet from the lake. The owners were very helpful and eager to share tips about the area. We loved the fact that our phones didn't work here! It allowed us to relax and enjoy the views. Gravel sites but leveled. Wi-Fi worked fine and the cable with some 20 channels worked well too. Dog friendly, quiet, and my wife loved the bathrooms - very clean. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We intended to just spend one night but stayed two because Paradise Shores has so much to offer. The views from our waterfront site of the Sawtooth Mountains were stunning. Asphalt roads, level gravel sites (some pull through sites), a laundry room (clothesline and clothespins available), very clean and thoughtfully stocked restrooms/showers, a small store, free Wi-fi, and a friendly dog make for a comfortable park. We don't fish, but learned this is a popular place for lake fishing as well as fly fishing. True small town ambiance: longer term residents offered advice on local hot springs, old mining towns and good eateries. Hosts/owners are delightful, warm and welcoming. When on Hwy 395, we will stay here again. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.
