We enjoyed a lot about this park. Pros: We enjoyed many features of this park including that it is directly on the reservoir looking across at totally undeveloped land. There are good views from nearly every site. The park is kept sparkling clean by the staff - who are very welcoming and knowledgable. There are a number of surprising amenities provided including two kayaks, a 16 foot skiff (you supply the motor), comfortable chairs (including one recliner),tables, fire-rings and barbeques provided throughout the park. They also wide array of toiletries provided at no charge in the sparkling clean showers and restrooms. We were so pleased that this park offered recycling. The interior roads and sites were well graveled. A small table in good condition was provided at each site. Cons: The sites themselves were too close together. We just had room to put out or two camp chairs and small table facing the lake. There was another row of RVs parked just above and directly behind us with very little space to walk behind our RV. However there were many places in the park to sit in seating and tables provided by the park including the recliner that I enjoyed for a couple of hours! We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The little town of Bridgeport had a lovely old hotel, beautiful old courthouse, and a great Native American arts store. Well worth take the short walk through the town. There is ample RV parking on the block behind main street and on the side streets.

Like all the other reviews said the service is perfect. The roads and sites are gravel. There is no TV or I would have rated a ten! The wifi is free and very good. There is a library of DVDs they will lend you for free. The fishing and kayaking was wonderful tho the algae is in full bloom. They give you free use of their paddle boards and kayaks. There is even a boat free to use you just need to supply the motor. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

There is no TV! Best to bring all your supplies and groceries as Bridgeport is a very small town.

This is a small "mom and pop" sort of place run by a young couple who appear to be doing extensive updating to the facilities. Don't expect anything fancy - just clean, quiet, friendly and cute. There are about 38 sites arranged on two levels so most sites will have views out to Bridgeport Reservoir and the mountains on the far shore. Before you select a site consider the placement of your windows if you want to take advantage of the views. We had a back-in site (#11) on the upper level, but it put our rear window (the smallest one in our rig) facing the view. A site on the lower level (#21 to #31) would have resulted in our large front windows facing the view. Well, now we know for next time.

I really liked the little personal touches in this RV park - the dog wash, the common patio area, the direct access down to the lake shore, and the little amenities in the restrooms. In addition to the RV spaces, the park also offers 4 rental trailers (the Baja looks adorable!) and an area for tent campers. Since this is an older park, the spaces are quite close together and big rigs might have a hard time getting into the park because the entrance requires a rather sharp turn off the highway.

This park has a nice laid-back vibe and we would definitely stay here again when in the area. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We chose this park based on the reviews here and its proximity to Bodie Ghost Town. Don't miss Bodie - a truly fascinating place!

Overall Rating:

This is an older park that is now owned by a young couple who are working very hard at making it a nice place. So far, I've stayed here twice, both during the recent drought.

The sites are small but there is a fair amount of space between them. We are in a 24ft MH. I wouldn't want to try to get something much over 30 ft in because of the sharp turns to get into the spaces. There are a number of pull throughs as well as back ins. The park itself is built on 2 tiers, which allows a view of the lake from all of the spots.

The bathroom is immaculate and even has some nice touches such as disposable razors and hand lotion. There are 2 showers, which were very clean as well.

They are very dog friendly. Leashed dogs are allowed and there is no breed discrimination. They also supply poop bags.

It was somewhat dusty and the lake is a bit of a hike. But California is in a historic drought, so that is not the owners' fault.

I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park has a nice view of the lake and the Sierra Nevada mountains. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no 50 amp service available, but the 30 amp service was adequate for our needs. The grounds were very clean, and kudos to the park owners for setting up recycling bins. A couple of drawbacks. There were no pull-through sites, so we had to back our rig in. The sites are VERY close to each other. We were able to get our slides out, but it was tighter than most parks. There was no cable hookup in our site. If we'd had a long enough cable, we'd have been able to run it to an adjacent site, but we lacked the needed length. We tried to set up our portable satellite antenna, but due to the tightness of the campsites, we could not get a good view of the southern sky to accomplish this. Overall, this a a good site for an overnight stay. Make sure you have a long cable for the TV if needed. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This an old park that could stand upgrading but everything is clean, neat and well maintained. The Wi-Fi is one of the best we find anywhere. The view of the lake is great. The upper sites are gravel and level. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very good park for a one night stay if you are passing through the area or longer if you want to enjoy the reservoir. The sites are a bit tight and the park feels a little crowded, but the new, very friendly owners are trying to make the best of what they now own. Cell phone service should improve with a new wireless tower across the lake. The internet service, which was spotty, will hopefully improve as well. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is well maintained. The sites are level, gravel and clean. The staff is very friendly. The Wi-Fi worked good but the cable was not functioning at this time but I was assured that if we came back it would be working. The mountain and lake views are fantastic. This park has amazing views. The campground is being kept up well. Quiet and friendly. We parked under a tree and the flying insects were horrible - that is why the lower rating. If we came back, we would not stay under the trees. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campsites are a little small but our 36' with opposing slides fit fine with room for us outside. Sites are all gravel, ours was reasonably level. Was windy the afternoon we arrived the next morning was beautiful though. We believe it was a good value and will stay again when passing through. This is a great quiet gem of a park on the Bridgeport Reservoir. The couple that owns and runs the park were very nice and helpful the whole week we were there. The bathrooms and showers are the cleanest I have ever seen at any campground. The sites are nicely covered in gravel and level. Our site afforded a great view of the reservoir and picturesque sunsets. Lots of great fishing nearby, including the reservoir if you have your own boat. We were only one of two families with kids in the park, but the kids had a great time playing at the shore and running around the camp. We had over 20 cable stations and all the hook-ups worked well. WiFi only worked near the office, but there was a picnic bench and a counter in side to set your laptop on. The sites were a little narrow and the store didn't have too much to choose from, but other than that we really enjoyed out stay. We would definitely come back. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice little park. Roads and sites are all gravel. Closest sites to lake are about 100' so not truly "waterfront", but all sites would have some water view. About 20 miles from Bodie State Park. Nice owners. Most sites taken by long term seasonal campers as park is not actually open all year. They are planning on installing Wi-Fi soon. A clean, well-maintained RV Park located at the edge of Bridgeport Reservoir. They have a small boat marina here. Fishing was found to be excellent for Rainbow Trout, they also catch German Browns. The management was exceptionally nice, would try to do anything they could to enhance your stay. They have just installed an above ground tank under a canvas like tent which has recirculating water in it. They are using this to grow trout in and these will later be released into the lake. There appear to be several hundred fish in the tank, lots of fun to watch. We will return here. RV Park is just about 2 miles to downtown Bridgeport which has several nice restaurants, etc. Be sure you fuel up before coming here, gas/diesel are extremely high in this town. We camped at Paradise Shores RV Park in a Motorhome.
