6 RV Parks near Burnt Ranch, California
Jun 2017 - $33.00
Not a big place. Several back-in spots, decent size, with picnic tables and all the necessities. Store doesn't have anything. River access just down from the bluff where the RVs and rental cabins/park models are. Nice view from a few sites and rental cabins. Not a lot of maintenance going on here, but everything was okay. The most amazing thing was the silence at night, and I do mean silence. It was very restful. I'd come back here again. I bet it is not so quiet in the middle of summer, but in early June it was just delightful. Highway 299 is construction central, so don't be in a hurry. - LeeL
Jul 2016 - $35.00
We enjoyed this park. Its very remote. You have to drive several hours on CA 299 to get there. The road is twisty and there are a lot of steep hills. They are currently doing major road construction on it.
This park has great access to the Trinity River. Fly fishing is popular here. - juustright

Conveniently located halfway along Hwy 299 on the Trinity River. Big sites, easy to access. Verizon signal poor. Spotless swimming pool. - Peter1

We got stuck on highway twists and turns on 36 en route to Redding as the sun set, and ended up in the sleepy town of Hayfork. Though there were practically no people around, we found some folks at the local saloon who pointed us to the fairgrounds. On the right side (don't go left!) lives the park caretaker, who showed us to a new concrete slab site surrounded by the fairgrounds and cow pastures. The area was clean, and the few others there were quiet. There's no road noise (hardly any roads!), no people noise (hardly any people!), and quiet cows. The one restroom that was open was clean and had decent showers. The place appears to be a county seat, and looks like the fair would be fun. There's a decent Mexican restaurant in town. Fine place to stop for sleep; not much else going for the area, though. I give higher marks simply for the peace and quiet of the place. It's not pretty, but we slept very well there. - Foovius
