Overall Rating:

The price we paid reflected the weekly rate. It's more than we usually pay, however given it's location close to a big city it is about as good as you can get. It is one of the best maintained parks we have ever stayed in. Staff keep the grounds & buildings in excellent condition. Most sites are very tight, however we were in section K which has large sites & we were comfortable with our 40' motor home with 4 slides, our pick up truck & our motorcycle. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Henry Mayo Drive address is on a road that appears to have recently had changes made to it's ingress & egress. Google maps directs you to use an approach that does not work well. Best directions to the park: Exit I-5 at 172 mile marker, go west on Hwy 126 for 1 mile. Park entrance is on the left with a left turn lane & a traffic light.

Date of Stay: March, 2019 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second stay and we were here for eight nights. I would estimate that about 80 to 90% of the people here are full time. Most of their sites are somewhat orderly but could certainly be better. One thing to watch out for is a large number of pit bulls and other aggressive dogs. If you have a dog, you will have to learn which streets have these aggressive dogs so you can avoid them. The showers we used were nicely tiled and mostly clean but for some odd reason there is no shower curtain so keeping your clothes dry while you shower is challenging. Most the facility is maintained adequately but some of the roads needed repaving years ago. And as others have noted, the speed bumps here are a real annoyance. Verizon signal was good. All in all, not a terrible experience but we try to avoid in the future if we can. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a Camping World nearby. The town is pretty godd size with many shopping options including major grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants. etc. Six Flag Amusement Park is just a few minutes drive.

The park is very clean, full hook-ups with 30/50 amp paved sites long enough for 40' MH with toad. Staff very helpful. There are assorted trees but we were also able to get a satellite-friendly site. We only wish they did not have so many speed bumps. Hard maneuvering over them. We would definitely stay there again. This was our third visit. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Sites in this park vary tremendously. There are large areas where RV's are packed in like sardines. I have rarely seen sites so close. It looks like a lot of people in these sites are relatively long term residents. We had one of the 18 sites in a circle around a cabana. Lots of room and nice views of the surrounding hills. We had a lawn next to our site with a picnic table. The pad was gravel an a little messy. There was no landscaping or privacy. They keep a list in the office of satellite dish friendly sites and allows us to pick one. A nice touch. The nicer sites cost more but are worth it. There are lots of amenities- pool, tennis court, store, etc. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park used to be nice and clean. Once the baseball fields which are part of the park opened, the public now has access to the restrooms at one end of the park where the overnighters stay, and thus the cleanliness has deteriorated. The park is conveniently located, but the cleanliness and overall appearance has gone downhill over the last two years. Still good for an overnight location, and a home base for visiting the major city areas. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park, right at the intersection of I-5 and the CA 126 freeway, very convenient to Six Flags amusement park. It is well maintained. Lots of people live here, but it's clean and orderly. We had a pull through. Very little space between rigs, but there is strip of grass; given that this is the edge of the desert, that's pretty nice. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nethercutt Car museum in Sylmar was very interesting. It's from the Merle Norman foundation and has a music museum which is only open Thursday through Sunday, so we didn't tour it. The antique cars are pretty spectacular. The Harry Carey museum is also nearby.

Nice park near Magic Mountain amusement park. Relatively level sites with full hookups, which all seemed to work fine. Cable connection available. Some sites are shaded and some have more direct sun. Plenty of activities to do at the park for kids. Friendly staff. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Travel Trailer.

The park is very clean and has many amenities. The club house has games that are in very good shape, including air hockey, foosball, a ping pong table, etc. The store is very well stocked with camping supplies that are reasonably priced. We would return to this park. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed here twice. Good location when traveling south. This is a pretty large park and RV's are packed in pretty tight. Well maintained lawn between spaces and some nice shade trees. Mostly pull through spaces. Our space had a nice lawn, a picnic table and a good view of the surrounding hills. We would always come back here. We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I agree with all the other positive comments written by others but I want to add one that shows just how "classy" this place is. I was there with my 35' motorhome and when I went to leave my long slide would not close. I called the office looking for a suggestion as to who to call and the lady said that they had someone at the Park that might be able to help and she would send him over. Within minutes this well dressed gentleman came over and immediately determined that I had a serious problem but he would try to help me out. It took him about an hour but I was able to put the slide in and be on my way. He could have very easily said that the problem was to complicated and left but no he was determined to help me. When I asked him what I owed him he said nothing which I could not believe but I did force him to take something. I am guessing but that would have cost me at least $300/400 to do what he did. That should give you some idea of the type of people that work their and their commitment to customer service. It is a great place all the way around and I highly recommend it. A large park, their overnight pull thru sites are in circle toward the back of the park very easy to navigate to. The sites are just a bit short we barely fit with a jeep hooked to a 36 ft. motorhome a larger rig would hav to disconnect. This is a good overnight stop We camped at Valencia Travel Village in a Motorhome.
