Directions and signage to the park were easily followed. Our arrival was on a Sunday, just after 1PM. The Office was closed, 1PM on Sundays, and there was a map/receipt/with our name and site directions. We got settled into our Pull-Through which was shaded, level gravel, plenty long enough for our rig and toad, and wide "enough." Full-Utilities were easily hooked up. There was a picnic table on our patio. We stayed here a week, with the idea of seeing the local area. The park is located on the Northern end of Chico, off a moderately busy road, in an area with businesses and residences. The park was very clean, paved, easily navigable, and surrounded by tall trees, with a sprinkling of trees in the interior and a good amount of grass. The pool was clean. We did not use the Restrooms. Traffic noise was mild, but not terribly disturbing. WiFi was good. Utilities were easily hooked up, power and water were fine. Our rig has 4 TVs, and the Cable signal was not robust enough to give us a clear picture. This has happened at a handful of other smaller parks. To use the pool or restrooms, you have to sign out a key and give a $5 deposit. This was mildly irritating as you are tasked with remembering to return the key before leaving, or loose your minor deposit. No big deal, just one more thing to put on a sticky. Also it meant we could not use the pool the Sunday afternoon we arrived. While we appreciated the picnic table, it was covered with spider webs, so we passed on using it. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Although somewhat small (only 42 spaces) this is a nice park. Gravel interior roads are plenty wide and easy for even the biggest rigs to navigate. There is a mixture of back-in and pull-thru sites, all with gravel pads. We've been here several times at different sites and all have been pretty much level. Hook-ups are conveniently located. Water pressure seems fine (although we always use a pressure gauge just to make sure). Check-in was quick and easy. Office staff was friendly and efficient. The park is always neat and clean, with a nice grassy dog run area. One slight drawback (in our opinion) is that the park sits right on busy Esplanade street. Ask for a site as far away from the front of the park as possible. Your ears will thank you. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a Raley's Supermarket just a mile or so up Esplanade from the park. For eating out, try the Rice Bowl (also east on Esplanade) for very good Chinese and/or Japanese food.

Overall Rating:

This has been one of our favorite parks. We've stayed here several nights over the past three years; each time in March as we travel from Washington to So. Cal. Last year we noticed a decline in overall maintenance and a less then friendly reception. We thought it was just a one-time thing. But, again this year. The grass is so long it appears to not have been mowed since fall. The sites are gravel and they are not level, and they have mud puddles where you typically step in to your RV. And, again this year the front desk reception was very unfriendly. It's sad that the park seems to be slipping. It has the potential to be really nice. The first time we stayed there three years ago, it was well kept and folks were friendly. So the park is "OK" and deserves a "good" rating, but it is slipping and I'll probably not return. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Easy and friendly checkin. Site was level. All services worked as expected. The pool looked, nice but I didnt use it. I didn't use their WiFi....my Verizon signal was 2 out of 4 bars, usable. Lots of plush grassy areas which my dog loved. There is a shade tree on one side or the other at most of the pull-through sites, and the back-in sites have tall trees and shrubs behind them. Interior roads are asphalt. I did not have to unhitch my trailer, but chose to do so. I am here for two days and I would stay here again if in the area. We stayed for one night to visit the grandchildren in the area. Staff is super friendly. Space was fine and pretty much level. They allowed us to have a late departure as were not real busy. We will stay there again. Also just up the street is very good Mexican restaurant. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a really nice little RV park. No long-term, blue tarps. Quiet. Good Shade trees. Grass. Picnic tables. Strong WiFi. Good cable TV. The only negatives are that the site is gravel and the laundry room is very small (2 washers and 1 working dryer). The road is paved. You have a nice grass strip next to your RV. But your RV is on gravel. The sites are quite long and plenty wide. Will stay here again. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here several times while visiting family in the area. It's a nice, clean, shaded park conveniently located on the west end of town. The larger back-in sites seem to be allocated to long term campers and the two pull-through rows in the center are given to overnighters. However, these are extremely narrow and the utilities are placed in the middle so if you're out in your lawn chair you're pretty much sitting next to your neighbor's sewer hookup (my pet peeve). Knowing this, we asked for an end site when we made our reservation and were told one was available. But when we arrived, it was not. Then, we were assigned a site right next to another camper when at least 10 sites on the other side were vacant (??). We asked to be moved so at least we had one site between us and didn't feel quite so crowded. The park has a nice clubhouse and a pool that didn't seem to be in use for the season yet. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here 2 nights while I had an additional fuel tank installed in my truck. The fellow at the front desk was extremely rude and grumpy, being sure to tell everyone not to lay a rug, pillow or anything down on the 18 inch section of grass. This place has no dog run. The sites are way too tight. We were in site #5 and would not return. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We stayed just one night in this clean RV park in Chico. For an RV park, the sites were pretty large with gravel pads and a small section of grass and a picnic table. While not on a freeway, the Esplanade can be somewhat noisy since it is a major street. The one disappointment is the cost. $45 with a Good Sam discount is WAY more than the RV park should be in a smallish town, specially comparing it to really fabulous parks like Seven Feathers in Canyonville, OR. Because of the overly high price, we probably would look for something else in the area next time. We camped at Almond Tree RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
