We booked our reservation at this RV Resort in October 2016. We arrived at the resort at 3:00 p.m. on 4/29/17. The sign shows office hours of 10-4. The office was closed when we arrived. Rang the buzzer, no one answered. Called the after hours number. Woman who answered said she was in town and would be back in 10 minutes. When she arrived her appearance was less than business like even for a campground. She was courteous and explained they had experienced some flooding from the river and the ground was till drying out. We understood. She offered us site 44 and it was a good thing we took it as site 43 still had standing water in it. When we got out of our rig we were greeted by an unpleasant smell. Thought it was from the flooding until we read another review from two weeks prior stating the river flooding had caused the sewer system to back up onto the grounds covering his patio rug and hoses in feces. Now we know what the smell was as the ground was still wet. It would have been nice to know this problem had occurred before my husband crawled on the ground under the coach to put the jack pads down so our jacks would not sink into the soft, wet ground. Many older, unmaintained permanent RV's in the park. All amenities are in much need of repair. Not well maintained park at all. Extremely disappointed. Will lose one day's rental fee and be inconvenienced, but we are relocating our rig to another park as even one more night in this park is not worth the price they charge. - LivADrm
Sep 2016 - $45.00
We have been here before and enjoyed the peace and quiet of being off the road away from the highway and near the river area (only has water in mid summer) This time we were surrounded by workers who partied all night, had to pay for our electricity ($8.19 for one night) on top of the $45.00 and were charged for Tengo internet ($4.00) if we wanted it for one night. We asked for a partial refund due to the extreme noise while we were trying to sleep but no dice. We will not return. We don't need to be nickel and dimed for our stay. It is an insult. - saturn7
Nov 2015 - $45.00
Was all right for a couple of nights. Do not recommend for a long term stay, did not have much to offer in way of amenities. Site map stated there were trash bins throughout the park; after a 10 minute walk we found 1 near the laundry room.
We were there in November, park had the feel it was closed for the season. - Our-Wandering-Casa

Nice open sites, train and freeway were pretty loud. Still nice for an overnight stay. Friendly staff in person and on phone. - Val Hannah
Jun 2019 - $42.00
This is a nice park for an overnite stop. One section is for full time residents, with a section for short stay campers. We had a shady site with a large grass area behind our 5th wheel. We would definitely choose this park for a stop-over again. - mac48
Apr 2018 - $35.00
Very pretty grounds, good playgrounds and laundry, very helpful staff. They have worked hard to make it lovely. After reading the older reviews and noting that the park is under new ownership we decided to go in. Glad we did. - Road ramblers

We stopped for one night to rest. The park is primarily full-timers. The sites are grass/dirt and somewhat uneven, and several have large shade trees. We were able to find a pull through site so access was easy. Back in sites might not be as easy since the sites are tight; especially if you have a bigger RV. I walked our dogs in the evening and my ankles got eaten up by either fleas or mosquitoes. Some time during the night, an animal made a deposit on our doormat. >:/ The park is conveniently located next to the freeway, but this also makes for road noise when trying to sleep with your windows open. If the road noise doesn't bother you, the train whistle in the middle of the night definitely will. This isn't a destination "resort," but will do for a brief overnight rest on your way to grander places. I'd rate this a Satisfactory Minus; or Bad Plus. For $20/night (Passport America discount), it was a reasonable price for what you get. The closest place to eat (according to Yelp) is 1.2 miles away. - barefootmom
Jan 2019 - $20.00
Really tight for big rigs, uneven ground. Power a little scary but it worked. Will not return. - Buck44
May 2017 - $20.00
A small park, geared for seasonals. Just off the freeway, it's really a stop over on the way to someplace else. The regular price seems a little steep for what's offered. Noisy freeway on one side, busy train tracks right on the other. You'll have a hard time getting a sound sleep. Having said that, the people were friendly enough, the place clean. Ok value for the Passport America 50% discount. - Two Travellers

The photos of this KOA on the KOA site really need to be updated. It pictured a beautiful park with well kept roses, lush green grass and large shaded sites. It showed photos of the beautiful Sequoia National Forest as if it was right within viewing sight at least. What it really is surrounded by is a flat, dusty unplanted farm field on one side with a urban ghetto surrounding the rest. The park itself had dying roses (yes this was not flowering season but they hadn’t even been deadheaded) dead and dying grass and only a few trees. The mountains were far enough away you could barely make them out for the dust and smog. I coughed constantly due to the dust in the campground. We had barely leveled our 5th wheel in the very short pull through when the care taker was telling us we couldn’t leave the truck next to the trailer because of his dead and brown grass patches.
Our view from our trailer was some permanent travel trailers which looked like an episode of hoarders. The WiFi was terrible and you could barely see the cable. - Denyce
Jul 2019 - $60.00
Older park in a residential neighborhood. Very quiet at night. It was extremely hot while we were there, so we didn't sit outside. Close to Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and my family. We had a shaded spot with two trees. Electrical was excellent. We kept two air conditioners going all the time. Laundry is clean. You pay in advance and get a laundry card, which covers both wash and dry. $10 deposit for card, which you get back if you return it. Store was adequate, but you are close to downtown with all amenities. We would stay here again. - WSKeifer
Jun 2019 - $45.00
Good park, laid out well. Good pool, play areas, and dog walk. Generous spacing between sites. Fairly well kept. internet was BAD (less than 1 mbps). My WIFi Ranger didn't even help much, however my AT&T Nighthawk worked well. The best compliment I can give.....my dogs liked this park; what else matters ! Would I stay here again? Absolutely ! I stayed in early June and the grass was already starting to get burned to a crisp. The hosts were great. - Phaeton01

Apr 2010 - $22.00
Small, campground north of Visalia, with predominantly permanent residents. Only 30 amp service and our 32 foot motorhome with tow barely fit into one of their pull through sites. Could not connect sewer hose because of small pull through size. Located right next to Hwy 99 so expect alot of road noise. Facilities are primitive and in disrepair. Pass on this one and head north to the next major town. - Happy G

Nice, quick park off the freeway. Dirt roads and tall trees. There is freeway noise. It's a good overnight place. Friendly staff. - mycelia

Well not stay here ever! The park is filled with out of date registration RVs some have 1996 tags. Not one friendly camper said hi. This park could be nice if cleaned out. It would take many tow trucks to move the broken down RVs. - titanium

We stayed 3 nights. We had to go to a family function in Fresno and this was a great place to stay. Jerry the manager is a funny guy and very helpful! The place is clean and there is lots of grass which helped keep the heat down. Lots of space between campsites. The only thing that was missing is a pool, it would have felt nice in the heat! - FromColorado

We spent one night at Riverbend RV Park on our way to Kings Canyon and Sequoia's National Parks. The park hosts were very friendly and gave us a nice welcome bag. There was lots of shade from the oak trees with a nice creek running through the campground, which made our stay really comfortable. My wife and I got to enjoy couple rounds of Bocci Ball. We were told that the game courts were recently completed. We had such a great time that we are planning to come back soon. - RichardandIrene

Park was well maintained and runs along a small creek that feeds into the river. Beautiful place to sit and relax. Bathrooms were clean and park staff were great to work. - Shortclan

This is simply a parking lot behind the Elks lodge and is for Elks members and their guests only. Since rvers have gotten the impression that it is an rv park for the public, there is now a volunteer host to sort things out. For Elks members there are a few large, level parking slots with 50 amp service and on the night we were there, a wednesday, dinner was available in the lodge. - mrosie
Nov 2016 - $20.00
This is our second stay here after visiting almost exactly two years ago. No significant changes noted. Nothing fancy... just a safe place to spend the night with electric and water hookups (dump station on site).
We use cellular internet and found AT&T's LTE signal was surprisingly weak during this visit. Verizon's LTE signal was slightly stronger, but we found both AT&T and Verizon data speeds to be very slow.
There were maybe a dozen rigs here during our visit but plenty of spaces were left. There's a moderate amount of nearby road noise during the day and evening, but it died off during the night. - Gyropilot
Apr 2016 - $20.00
Not much to add to the other reviews except that the park receives very little maintenance. The blacktop is starting to disintegrate and could use a good sweeping. The hook-ups are overgrown with limbs. There were only a small number of rigs [4] in the lot. Back-up as far as you can because the hook-ups are way in the back of the site. Reservations are not accepted or needed. I will stay here again because it is only a few blocks to the Visalia Country Club - a nice course with a great clubhouse. - bradydane2009
