The host is very nice and lives on site. Check in was very easy once I found site number 1. WiFi is ok, better than most RV parks. Electricity was strong. Water and dump at each site as well. The pool looked very nice although we didn't use it. The RV park is conveniently located behind a gas station which had some of the lowest gas prices along this section of I-80 when we stayed. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

One positive is that it is very assessable to I 80. The road into the park is very rough. The asphalt is so broken up and needs a good repair. Lots of trees if you like shade. No cable and we did not have good reception for local tv. WiFi was mostly non exsistent. There are several old liveins even though information says there are not live ins. The park is mostly filled with long term places due to local work. There is a nice pool. This park would not be a deal unless you got a Passport discount! We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Motorhome.

The roads in the park are a little bit rough, but we drove very slow so things worked out fine. The park is very scenic, with many, large, mature trees. We were assigned to the group camp area, which was mostly empty and very quiet. The restrooms were clean, but they were unisex and seemed to be accessible to any of the large number of people with keys. The camp hostess was very friendly and helpful and the residents were also friendly and polite. We did not have cable, but air reception was good. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly return to this park. It is great value for the money. The map provided for the hike down to the creek is not the best. However, the hike is nice. Just wear lots of bug spray, keep close track of which way you came, and watch out for snakes in the leaves at the side of the trail. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was the perfect place to try out our new travel trailer. An easy jaunt up hwy 80 and close to the exit. The hwy sound was not bad considering how close we were. There is a decent convenience store/gas station a short walk from the campground. The bathroom facilities were old but very clean. The camp host was kind and very helpful. Nice hike to a creek from the campground. A short drive away is a real hike (7+ steep miles) from the Euchre Bar Alta Trailhead. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This park sits just far enough off Hwy 80 that it is easy to get to but there is no highway noise. There are no signs at the street and because it sits behind a gas station, it is easy to miss. The only sign for the park is on the gate at the entrance. We stayed here not long after the intense rain and snow hit Northern California so the place was rather a mess. Parts of the road around the park was washed out, trees down and one of the bathrooms was out of service. The road into the park has a short steep pitch with some holes that you will want to drive around and the turn at the back of the park is tight with trees close to road. With that being said, we got in for a week with our 40ft motorhome with no issues. We stayed a night in their group camping area while waiting on a spot open. It is power/water only, but there are several sites that will hold a 40ftr. The entire park is 30amp, none of it is level, and it is heavily treed so getting satellite will be difficult at best. Sprint phone and 3G worked but their free WIFI was so weak that we could not get it. Bathroom/shower was old but clean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Most of the park is full of residents, many old rigs with sheds and stairs but they are the nicest group of people we have met. They helped us put our mobile satellite dish in just the right spot for reception. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We arrived at Dutch Flat RV by accident. The transmission in our pick-up gave up the ghost at the rest area. The manager was a super person to work with. We didn't know when the pick-up would be fixed and we were able to pay for 2, 3 or 4 days at a time. Everyone at the park was very friendly and helpful. The park was clean, restrooms were clean and in good condition. Owner was out most everyday clearing trails of branches. TV reception was not very good, but then you are in the mountains and in the trees. There is plenty of places to walk and walk a pet. We were there in a 37' 5th wheel and found it to be easy in and easy out. Just watch the turns. We will be back. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Checked with their new camp host, she seemed very good at her job. She was very friendly and even gave us a hug when we were getting ready to leave the next day. Nicely groomed walking trails throughout campground and down to the creek. Very quiet and peaceful. Lot spacing was spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface was gravel and featured a picnic table. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Interesting place, sites carved out of a coniferous forest. 30-amp electric, just stayed overnight. Just off I-80, but surprisingly quiet. Sites were fairly level, although there was a bit of a drop-off to get to some of them. They said there's an age restriction for older vehicles so had to "inspect" our 1988 rig. But honestly, some of the (supposedly) permanent residents are in really broken-down looking rigs. They need cash or cheque, no plastic.
2 combination bathroom/showers. Surprisingly clean and spacious, good hot water pressure. The camp host will tell you all about the town of Dutch Flat given the slightest opportunity, but we didn't have time to see it. Good place for overnight. We

The price with Passport America discount makes it difficult to fault this park. The sites aren't very level...bring blocking if your rig does not have levelers. There is no cable TV and the huge trees wreak havoc on satellite reception. Bring DVDs. Was very quiet at night but not too dark because of park lighting. I felt it was excessive as there isn't much to do outside at this park at night. Another place that's OK for camping but with owner effort would be spectacular given the beautiful wooded setting. It seems they are transitioning to a new host and it's not going well. You have to check in at one of the permanent trailers, but they are rarely there. No one else around to ask about anything. So, plan on no management to help out. Pool is clean but very cold. Wifi is only available on the top section where most are permanents so you have to hike up the hill to use it. Only one trash bin and it's way overflowing and disgusting. They don't seem to care about bad road, broke down highway paving equipment or much of anything else but the pool. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

At first we wondered what we were getting into, the top row of campers are all permanent residents, but once you start down the hill, it's much more pleasant. The outer circle are all long term / summer residents with pull thru spots in the center. Very quiet, close to the freeway, but noise was not too bad. Easy place to get to if you follow the directions on the website, not sure where MapQuest was trying to send us. One of the other long term residents gave us the Wi-Fi code, worked very well here, just not provided by the campground host. Not a lot to do in the area, closest laundry and shopping were at least 10 miles down the Interstate. Given the price, it was a pleasant place to stay for a few days. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was the destination of our "shakedown cruise" for our new (and first) travel trailer. It was less than an hour away from home, in the mountains and among the tall evergreen trees. The front of the place is deceiving: it looks like a gas station/convenience store with a concrete block wall behind it. Once we drove beyond the wall we were delighted to find spacious sites with water, sewer and electric hook-ups on relatively flat (about 1/4 bubble off) areas. One thing we encountered and haven't seen since: the sewer hook-up was way toward the front of the site. We just moved forward the next morning and dumped -- we didn't know any better and improvised! Dutch Flat RV Resort isn't near anything except I-80. That was a good thing for us, because we weren't looking to do anything except play with our new toy. What a great way to start our RV experience: amongst the tall pines in a very quiet place! The nearby restroom was clean, but not a marbled Taj Mahal. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This facility is not a resort, but the pool is very nice. The tall pines create a pleasant ambiance. The campground is behind a truck stop. One could back into the upper sites, which are in a level area. The main lower campground is on, let's say, a 3 degree slope with a steeper slope into the main part. There is a bumpy asphalt path around the campground. The sites are dusty. They need more gravel. The sites are graded near level. Some sites are narrow with rocks and trees. Some are not. There are no low branches. There is a tight turn between 2 trees at the far end of the campground. The toilets and showers are utilitarian and clean. The campground is at least 75 percent peaceful permanents in the perimeter sites. The trans Sierra train line is about 1/2 mile away on the other side of the freeway. We did not get Wi-Fi at our site. Wi-Fi is advertised on the web page. We received AT&T phone service. We camped at Dutch Flat RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
