Overall Rating:

This is a Colorado River Adventures member park with 800 campsites located about an hour south of Lake Havasu City on the western side of the Colorado River in a small community named Earp, CA, so I don't know what the fees would be for a guest. I do know that you can accept a three night stay for free but must listen to their sales pitch, with no purchase required. We were in campsite #500, a long, level, gravel pull thru with 30A/50A, FHU services available at the read of my coach. The pull thru site is at least 100 feet long since my 40' coach towing an 18' trailer fit with ease and had plenty of room to park my second vehicle with room to spare at the rear of my trailer. The sewer has two connection points, but the one at the rear is more appropriate since the forward connection would place it in the patio of the neighboring site!! Water pressure was excellent. Trees provide some shade. Sites are back in along the river with a boat launch close to the office building. Sites are either back in along the river, back in back to back or pull thru. There are many travel trailers set up as rental trailers and some park models also for rental. Members and guests of members can use the rental trailers as park of their membership for free. Our children have member access privileges to the rental trailers. Appeared to be many long term campers as well as many overnighters. Internet services are available but our distance from the transmitter preventing using it because the signal was too weak. We sat at the bar with excellent Internet availability. Lots to do here onsite. The London Bridge in Lake Havasu City is about an hour away to the north along AZ 95. Miniature golf, two pools and one kiddy pool, a couple of hot tubs. All next to the bar for your eating and drinking choices. We rode our pedal bikes around the campground and experienced very friendly campers. The servers in the bar are super friendly and the food is your typical grill prepped menu selections. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Parker Dam does not permit large vehicles to cross, so don't think you can take a short cut over the dam to the campground. Parker is just across the river for shopping adventures and fuel.

This is a great RV park right on the Colorado River. It is a membership-only park but, if not a member, one can stay a couple days if going to the presentation. Only Coast to Coast members can park right on the water, but all can use the beach and river. They are associated with other memberships who can stay for a slight fee. They have large, wide sites with 30 or 50 amp FHU back-in or pull-thru on gravel. Internal road are wide and EZ to navigate. Very quiet unless there's a loud boat roaring up/down the river. There are 2 pools (plus a kiddie pool), 2 hot tubs, bar, food at bar, miniature golf, other games, and, of course, the river. No cable...even antennae is worthless as it's in a valley. Need satellite if want to watch TV. WIFI is only at the bar but cell reception is good if you bring your own hotspot. It's a wonderful place to just R&R. We've stayed there multiple times and will do so again! Very relaxing. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Bought a trailer at Camping World and received a free 4 night stay at one of several Colorado River Adventures' parks on the Colorado river. We chose this park due to it's being close to Parker and Blue Water casino, plus it was an easy drive up from Yuma. The park is just a large sand and gravel spot that has been open for several years. It has a decent bar and restaurant adjacent to pools and hot tubs. Lots of screaming kids running around and periods of very loud music. During week-days it was more tolerable. There are several donkeys, burros that wander through the park leaving "presents" all around so if you go out at night I recommend having a flashlight. Boats on the river are very noisy on weekend days. No other noise issues than kids. No TV available other than satellite, and cell service is sketchy. Many long term residents but sites were mostly kept picked up. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is part of CRA - membership park and we didn't join. It's location is perfect on the Colorado River with a beach. We loved all the wild life (including burros)! However, the management doesn't enforce the state laws (maybe because it's BLM land) regarding smoking in common areas, building entrances, and the children's play areas. Their only rule is to not smoke in the restaurant/bar. Besides that, the entire facility was a smoking area with ashtrays at all the store fronts and smoking areas right next to the designated children's areas. It's truly unfortunate, because it was a beautiful spot. I spoke with a manager, and a senior manager when I declined to buy a membership about the health and safety violations and he said they are working on it. I spoke to plenty of staff to know that this is the way it has always been and I doubt I made an impact. So if you want to stay at a place that enforces health and safety codes, this campground isn't for you. Tons of stuff for the kids, but the entire area is the smoking area as well. We just played on the beach and will not return. We passed a lot of other campgrounds along the way right on the river too. I suggest trying anyone of those and avoid CRA/Emerald Cove. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

Large RV park with heated pool and good meals at the Tiki Bar. Bathrooms & showers clean. Laundry equipment maintained - and reasonable priced. The two sides of the park, both are on the river and premium local members have the river front slots. Park sits down in a knoll and it is difficult to get cell service (T-Mobile). It is located minutes from Parker and about 40 minutes from Quartzite. We enjoyed our stay, the friendly-helpful staff, and our spacious site. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Must drive around a mountain to get to this resort. Roads are a bit narrow. Please drive slow. Very dusty, sites not groomed. Irregular site sizes. A mouse got into our coach.

Friendly folks all over. Huge, clean laundry room. Nice bar, good food. Well stocked store. Great presentation: no pressure to buy. Stayed 5 nights. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

As guests of a member we only paid $10 per night. Streets were wide allowing for backing into the sites if vehicles were not parked in front of campers. We were surprised to find only 30 amp available. Picnic table needed repair. We took advantage of happy hour at the bar but did not use any of the other resort amenities. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We got free nights here from our RV dealer when we bought a new RV. The entire place is covered with gravel. Wild burros wander through the area. There was no Wifi or cable tv at the campsite. A clubhouse was simply a large warehouse sized building with tables and a kitchen. Meal costs are low because volunteers work there. The campground is not close to anything. This is a good place if you are going to stay for a season (I.e. snowbird) but it is really out of the way for a few nights camping. The sales presentation was a joke. They offer membership for $9,000 with annual fees of $449 but you have to buy on the spot. Otherwise you are not allowed to come back for two years. Then the cost is $99,000. Who do they think they're kidding??? The sales woman kept referring to a very very badly scribbled piece of paper. What? Printing costs are so high that they can't afford copies after using the same sheet of paper a thousand times??? And the free gas offer is absolutely the most ridiculous film flam of all time. You have to file a form to be approved for the free gas. Then you have to get one fill up at a Shell gas station every 60 days (no earlier) and get an imprinted receipt. After four fillups, you must send the receipts in. All this must happen within 240 days of the day you first became eligible for your $200 worth of free gas. Ha, ha, ha. Good luck with that one. An offer very few people will collect. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed here again because the first trip was favorable. Things have changed a little. New manager or something. Didn't get the beautiful site we had in 2014. Electric service was very poor on 30 amp sites (which are plentiful). Power drops as low as 105 volts. I ended up buying an auto former for $600.00 from a local dealer to bring voltage back up to 120 volts. Cable TV was disconnected and WIFI is poor. Cell reception is hit and miss dependent on service provider. Members here pay maintenance dues but money isn't spent on anything noticeable. Rules are for people that follow them. We saw dogs in buildings, at the pool area, in the Tiki Bar eating scrapes at tables. Dog waste bags are provided but not used by all. Loose dogs are caught but put in a cage to bark all night. Children driving golf carts and ORV throughout the park. Security driving around but not enforcing rules was the norm. Nightly pow wow after bar hours for chit chat of security. Beach access is mostly limited to beach front campers. Two week maximum stay on beach sites. People block the beach with dog fences-kennels, tents, lawn chairs, toy hauler patio's, and fire pits. All sites with the exception of the pull through 50 amp sites are short and narrow compounded by some parking deep in back to back sites. We stayed here over a holiday weekend and it was a circus. We were told this is nothing compared to the Summer Season. Food and alcohol are cheap and happy hour brings out the drunks. We noticed most regular members were quite nice. Rather large turn around during the week with a heavy influx of campers coming in on the weekends. Short term stays here are in my future until things improve as this is a stop off through the region to greener pastures. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Motorhome.

We are full time rv's and have visited many parks. The employees at the front gate and store should not be in the service industry. They are not very friendly and tend to speak in very abrupt tones. The park is starting to show its age as some amenities are looking tired. There is no cable or WiFi and in this day and age it should be a must. The beach is beautiful but it is full of chairs and tents from people who have beach front sites. There is a better park 30 miles down the road that meets are needs. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We are CRA members and this is our home camp. We have camped here twice. There is a clubhouse and there is a bar and snacks, food at the bar on weekends. This campgrounds attracts a younger crowd and families, not just seniors. If you are a river rat you will love it here. Wide roads and a good amount of space in each site. We visited with our friends for Memorial Day weekend. If you have a boat or jet-ski...bring them! Otherwise there isn't much to do. There's a pool, miniature golf, and at night there's some fun activities. The "beach" fills up quickly and not much room once people moor their boats and toys offshore. It's quite a zoo on weekends, and with everybody running AC at the same time, the power went out at our space more than a few times. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We received a promotional packet in the mail to get 3 days, 2 nights free and to sit through a 90 minute presentation about becoming members at this park. The spaces were extremely tight with no privacy. we had no picnic table in our area, and the sewer line was so far away from the electrical and water we had to move our coach further up into the road in order to get it to work. Plus, when we were checked in, they didn't give us one with cable. The dog run area - was a joke. No dog over 10 pounds could consider that area as a run. There was no grass, it was rocks and cement. The beach area was so over-crowded, we couldn't find a spot for the 3 of us to sit and enjoy the water. This park is not meant for anyone without some sort of watercraft to use in the Colorado River near by. We ended up leaving within 5 hours after we arrived. Not impressed with this "resort". Stayed here for 10.00 day with RPI membership. Site was a huge pull thru that had 15 feet more than needed for 42 ft. motorhome and tow. Putt putt was the nicest we have seen in any park, small store was very well stocked including last minute swim gear for kids. Happy hour was excellent and daily special were a bargain. Pools looked great. Only downside is the dust, but it is the desert. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Emerald Cove Resort in a Motorhome.
