Love our stay here. Management where terrific. Pleanty of room to pull thru. Had a fire pit and table. There are some permanent resident and the ones we meet where lovely. Only thing not so great was the WIFI and the bathroom seemed very old but clean. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This park is just off Hwy 20, about two miles from junction of Hwy 20 and Hwy 101. It comes up fast if you are coming in from Willletts. If you see the firewood place on the left, you have missed it and turning around anytime soon (especially if you are towing a dingy) can be problematic! The park has mostly longer term folks, but we stayed a week to explore the area and it was fine. Office folks are efficient and helpful and the showers and laundry facility are kept clean. They have room to park your boat and a facility on which to clean your fish, but I have not figured out what to do with the fish guts! There is only power and water. (No septic unless you happen to get or request that at a long term site.) There is a place to dump as you leave. There are also sites for tents. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Glass Beach is nice to visit. Guest House Museum in mid town is a must for history buffs. Community Center is on Maple St, but check the handouts for hours, cost, etc. Mendocino is only seven miles south, with lots of shops and this month the musical festival. (We got to listen in on a rehearsal.) There are a number of good places to eat.

Good overnight stop. Manager was very helpful. Park has a beautiful view of the Pacific. We had a pull-through site that sloped quite a bit and we had difficulty leveling our rig. Needed to run it up on front blocks to get near level. There were several folks here that came regularly, and other sites did not appear to have the degree of slope ours did. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Older, smaller park. Lots of permanent residents. Office was closed when we arrived mid-afternoon. Went to office next day to pay and was told they are no longer members of Good Sam (made reservations 5 days earlier). Also not told they charge per day for electric at site. Site was large enough marginally and small side to side. Would not stay here again due to their lack of honesty and not informing me of paying a daily rate plus electric. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Mainly is a permanent RV Park now with some pretty old trailers. Manager wife is rude, is friendly sometimes and mean with foul language most of the time and can be heard through most of the campground. Husband is great, friendly and a great guy. Not kid friendly as the manager does not relate well. Never did get a sewer hookup as they are taken up by the permanent residents. No privacy. Only stayed here a few times because other campgrounds were full, unfortunately. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the first RV park we have departed without staying for more than enough time to reserve a site, pay with a credit card and get a refund immediately. Sites were close together and appeared to be filled with full-time campers. Sites were cluttered and not attractive. Person in office was kind enough to contact another RV park in Fort Bragg to be sure that we had a site to stay four nights. Unless you need a site for a night and nothing else is available in Fort Bragg, I would suggest avoiding this "rv park". We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This campground offers easy pull-through spaces which is convenient. However, the campground is flat and open with no privacy between spaces at all. There are trees surrounding the campground but very little vegetation by the sites. Good cell service and close to town. If you are looking for easy access and set-up, this is a good campground. If you want privacy, there is little to be found here. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: November, 2004 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This park has tremendous potential, but too many permanents makes the place look run down. The sites are gravel and most are close to being flat. The interior roads are paved. Fire rings at every site. During the long holiday weekend, many fishermen and abalone divers occupy the park and make for a festive atmosphere. Great big open field in the park for kids to ride bikes. Very friendly staff. I'd give it a higher rating except for the permanents. Right on highway 20 and only a few minutes from the ocean and downtown Ft. Bragg. We camped at Fort Bragg Leisure Time RV Park in a Motorhome.
