Oct 2014 - $25.00
The sites are roomy, basically this is a big, dirt parking lot with pedestals for electric (30 & 50 amp) and water. No pump out at sites but there is a dump station for $5.00. No bathrooms or showers here. Good location for visiting Monterey and Carmel. Easy to maneuver in our 45' RV. Would stay here again for sure. I would give a higher rating if there was grass or gravel at the sites but with this dry climate dirt flies everywhere!! - SNL
Jul 2014 - $20.00
We pulled into the parking area and thought we were at an RV Storage facility. The camping fee is scheduled to go up to $25 on August 1 and it does not include the dump fee. Parking area is in need of care and tables at campsites are in dismal shape. The camp host is friendly and the location is convenient to the freeway and town, but this is not a place we'd want to stay here for more an overnight stop. - hbcamper

Elks Members ONLY. Easy on and off Hwy 101. Borders lush Fairways Golf Course. E/W, with gravel level sites. Could use some weeding and grass cutting. Dog Friendly, Verizon OK. Friendly lodge located 30 minutes from Monterrey. Will stay again. - silverado

The park is full of stickers/goat heads. There was no place to walk my dog where he didn't get stickers in his paws...even the "dog park". The sites are very loosely defined...every thing is dirt and weeds. Hook ups worked. Several dilapidated trailers around that look abandoned with trash and weeds growing around. The reason for the 2star rate was the nice staff and cool nature..ie, bobcat, wild pigs, woodpecker etc. 14 days free, left after 1 night. Also, with fires in CA the entrance showed a recent fire. We didn't want to be stuck in there during a fire with no way out. - 1yearusa
May 2019 - $1.00
We were leery of staying at a campground that is remote. Closest grocery store is 25 minutes away, but it's really nice here. The park has recently upgraded one section with 50 amp hookups. We especially enjoyed all the wildlife. We spotted acorn woodpeckers, yellow-billed magpies, quail, western bluebirds, scrub jays, morning doves, an occasional hawk. Also California ground squirrels, wild pigs, deer, a fox and her cubs, and a bobcat. Tree frogs at night sing in loud chorus. All this in a spacious campsite with friendly neighbors and sunsets (usually undramatic but still marking the end of another day) over the mountains. This is an older campground and shows some wear and tear around the edges. The grounds could be better maintained (Grass cut, trees trimmed, etc), but the staff is friendly and it's a great place to spend some time if you're looking for a remote, quiet campground, dark sky at night, and beautiful vistas. - Miles and Smiles
Apr 2019 - $0.00
First, I am a thousand Trail member so the cost was $0.00. Let's touch on positives first: The staff were friendly and receptive to when you inquired about the park. I had a leaky water bib which they came to repair shortly after reporting it. A county store was on site otherwise the closest store is about 8 miles away. The area is beautiful and there is an abundance of wildlife, squirrels, rabbits, woodpeckers, boars, deer, bobcat, fox and I am sure there are others, those are just ones that we saw. Now for the not so good: The roads are tight with large traffic bumps in the attempt to keep people from going over 5mph. A good number of the sites are tight and hard to get into and out of as the parked cars encroach into the road. The sites are weeds, stickers, and not level. The sewer hookup is hidden in the weeds and hard to find. The roads are all rock and dirt and every car and truck that go by ensures your home and vehicle are covered with dust. The dog park is large and free of stickers but has many holes from ground squirrels and the annuals take an inordinate amount of time with their large dogs that they do not control if and when they harass or worse to a small dog. The park is the only place you can take your dog within the campground and be pretty sure they will not come back with matted hair from the stickers. The path in and out of the park is very steep and windy, luckily it is only about a third of a mile long. This park is very isolated and ATT cell is nonexistent and Verizon barely operates. We got no channels on over the air TV, but some did receive two or three. There are a number of people, who I assume are Thousand Trail members, that travel every three weeks back and forth from this campground and the one up north in Morgan Hill. I can state we will not travel back to this park. There is a lot of nature, so get out and walk the park and the nature trail they have. - TekManiac

Sep 2019 - $50.00
We stayed here for 8 days and it was purely delightful. The park is immaculate. They had very wide and long concrete pads with cable and good wifi. The grounds are beautifully manicured with flowers and other shrubbery. The bathrooms and showers were very nice; they were tiled, very clean (cleaned everyday), floor towels, and large showers. The best thing was the showers are individualized so you don't have to share. They have a nice, clean pool, too. - J Tucker

We had an electric site. It was a beautiful area. Nice and quiet and relaxing. The hosts were very nice. The restrooms were always clean. We got in some awesome hikes between the rain storms. A truly nice National Park to visit that a lot of people probably miss. It's not big but it offers a lot (Cave hikes, etc.). We even got to see the condors! - Moseyin
Feb 2019 - $18.00
We stayed in site 102 which backed to the main road. This was not a problem as the road is only frequented by visitors to the National Park. We saw wild turkeys, deer, coyotes and rabbits. The site was mostly level gravel and dirt with some tree coverage. 30 amp power was conveniently located and worked well. We had no cell service on Verizon or ATT, and no OTA television. The picnic table was in good shape. The firepit was extra deep so difficult to see fire when sitting. Firewood was available at store for $12/bundle. Campground is large so plenty of room for walking dogs. Nighttime temperatures were mid 20s and days warmed to low 50s. - bbmidwife

I have a 35' motor home pulling a tow vehicle. I made my reservation on line and gave that information. When I arrived and checked in the person at the check in desk checked me in and gave me directions to my campsite. As I followed the directions I found myself in the tent camping area and wasn't sure I was going to be able to get out of the area without damaging my motor home and tow vehicle. I made it back to the front desk and explained I have a motor home and not a tent. Fortunately they had some campsites in the motor home section that were still available. They gave me a choice of several and let me choose the one that worked best for me. After that everything went fine. So warning the on line camp reservation system is not the best. The campsite was 35' long but there was no way I could camp there. Might be better to call for a reservation. - JLT

Oct 2018 - $62.00
The new name for this park is "Weathertech Raceway Laguna Seca." Access for a big rig is tight, the roads are narrow and very steep (in one place, 16% grade). Our site was listed as "Premier." Not so much, in my opinion. There is electricity and water. No sewer so you have to be careful about the capacity of your holding tanks. This is an old park with a lot of big trees and is not configured for big rigs. The sites are dirt and dust, short and sloped downhill. Bring chocks and wood for shoring, lots of it, if you want to be level. Our dualies were off the ground if we wanted to be level so we just used some boards and lived with not being level, instead. If you are here for the races, I guess it's worth it, but this is severely rustic camping. - Linda dlm
Mar 2018 - $37.00
Park is divided into 3 or more small campgrounds. Most sites have water and electricity. Some sites are very close together. A fair amount of vehicle traffic because of the raceway, but that would be expected. Some noise from a gun range next door. Only one dump station for the entire area that is facing downhill. Entry and exit into some campgrounds and dump area are fairly tight. May be a challenge with a large rig. - Fyrflie1
Oct 2017 - $37.00
We have stayed here before with a 36' 5th wheel, but this was our first time in our 43' tag axle MH. The entry road is steep but perfectly possible to navigate. The roads in the campground loops are more difficult to navigate. There are lots of trees that are now overgrown and need trimming, the roadways are narrow, and there are numerous obstacles and drop-offs waiting for you if you don't pay attention. Many of the sites that are reasonably accessible for a 40'+ Class A are not level. I had to level manually and leave the coach slightly rear-down to prevent the rear tires from being lifted off the ground (a big safety no-no because of the parking brake) Apparently there is now a problem with the old water pipes in the campground, causing the arsenic levels to exceed the federal standard for potable water. Between the overgrown trees, narrow roads, and now non-potable water, we won't be back. It's too bad because it's really quiet here at night and the starry skies are beautiful. - 45 ACP

Jun 2019 - $35.00
Bolado Park is a basic RV campground next to Hwy 25, and within the Bolado Park Event Center about 9 miles south of Hollister nestled in a small valley bounded by hillsides that are pleasant to look at. One section of the RV campground has basic paved sites; these sites care just within the south gate, and to the right. We camped in a paved site. There is also another RV camping section further into the event center on dirt sites under trees. We camped at Bolado Park in a back in site with 50 amps electric and water in 2019 in a 36' motorhome. We enjoyed our stay and would come again. For camping site check-in, the park office is in the building forward of the gate, and left of the large grass field. - W Review
Mar 2018 - $35.00
We had a great stay at this park, found it by chance because it wasn't listed on RVparkreviews yet. This is a county fairgrounds and event center, but they have 38 RV sites set up throughout the property that are available all year, except for a few weeks during events. The sites 1-11 are up front and are located in what is otherwise a normal car parking lot. However, the sites are spaced out reasonably, plenty of room for slides and a comfortable distance from your neighbor. There is no screening at all though since you are in a parking lot, so that's what to expect. These sites also have 20/30/50 amp power, water, and sewer. We found the location to be a great alternative to staying in Pinnacles NP campground which was more expensive and provided no water or sewer. The NP is less than 30 minutes drive from this campground. The location is also less than 10 miles from Hollister which has grocery stores, restaurants, Target, etc. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we called to set our reservation. Utilities were fine during our week stay - power was strong, water pressure and flow were good. No wifi is available, but Verizon LTE is VERY strong here with no help of antennas. AT&T is also strong but 4G only even with our roof antenna. Site is in a parking lot, so asphalt paved and very level. Utilities located off edge of pavement to the rear of the back-in space. Very quiet area as long as there are no events at the fairgrounds. Locked gate at 7pm - RV guests are provided a gate key. Not sure the gate is that necessary, the area seems very low-key and safe. Plenty of parking for the toad since it is just a big parking lot. There is no pool or playground or anything else that you might find in a more standard RV park or resort - so if that is your thing you may want to keep looking. Also, this would be a campground for RVs only - there are no external restrooms or other facilities for campers to use. - leemhicks

Jul 2019 - $84.00
This is NOT an RV friendly location. The road to the site is VERY narrow and steep. We have a 26 foot trailer towed by a full-size pickup. The RV spots are a glorified parking lot. Other negatives points - very limited parking, limited shower facilities, self-service check-in mid-afternoon. The final straw - we were in town for a wedding and en route heard my husband's aunt had a stroke so obviously we needed to change plans and wanted to leave one night early. I inquired about a refund from the office staff and was told flatly "no". My comment to her was that was not good business practice and her reply was "actually it is". While they might not want to make an exception to their no-refund policy, they could at the very least be polite and sympathetic to their guests. - pfitz524

We spent four nights at Saddle Mountain and really enjoyed it. This is a small park and sites are close together but the views are beautiful. It is up on a hillside looking out over the Carmel Valley. We enjoyed sitting out by their sparkling pool. There is a playground, comfortable fire area and badminton. This park is not for the very large rigs but if you are in the area, we highly recommend it. - Tinas

We stayed 2 nights, it was a very beautiful location, clean and well maintained; they assigned us a spot and we asked for a different one and they were very accommodating in allowing us the change. We enjoyed our stay very much and would come back again. - TNDYoung

This is one of our favorite parks. It id definitely one of the best maintained we have visited over the past 25 years. We have visited yearly for the last 25 years traveling in a 45 foot motorhome. No problems getting to park or getting into site. I would recommend unhooking toad and let wife follow you in. Do so shortly after turning on to Schulte Road. Highly recommend this unique paradise. - carguy
Oct 2019 - $99.00
A beautifully landscaped small park at the very end of a paved, partially one lane country road. The manager helped inch our 38 ft 5th wheel into the mostly level dirt and gravel extra wide site. Once in the site there was room to park our tow vehicle and still have room to sit outside. The utility towers are new and placed mid site. Electric worked well, there was good water pressure and sewer outlet easy to access. Cable service was good but as in most parks wifi was spotty. There was a large grass area at the end of the park which was nice for dog walking. There is no access to the river. The park is one of the few which can hold big rigs and is convenient to Carmel, Monterey and Pacific Grove. The price is very high but choices are limited. The park is beautifully landscaped and maintained with friendly management. The park was mostly full our entire stay so reservations are suggested. - bbmidwife
Oct 2019 - $105.00
Big Rig Warning! We are in a 43' L 13' H, Class A (3yr full timers) ... the road into the park has many low hanging trees. Even driving down the middle of the road we were hitting trees on the antenna, and that was doing our best to drive around the low limbs. The road in is 1 way and very very tight. The owners have over sold this park to Big Rigs. The park is very very tight. Anything over 35' is going to have trouble getting into the sites. There is no river access. Only amenity I saw was a simple courtyard at the office entrance. It is convenient to Carmel. Utilities all worked fine. - Jansplans

This park is clean. The sites are a bit cramped. After we extended our 24” slide we had about 1-1/2” clearance to a fence.
Our site 30 amp outlet needed to be replaced as it barely held our plug.
The sewer connection was nearly to low into the cement to make a safe connection. - DisneyFam

Served our purpose, when needed a layover to get car repairs done. Just a parking lot with hookups, but no issues with the power or the water. Standard tire damage spikes at exit, but set in deep ditch. Beware you don't hit it to hard. We bottomed out the 1st time. Mgmt was helpful & accommodating to our need for adjacent site. - gs2rt
