Another Thousand Trails Park...Great Value. Between the Pool and the Lake, what more could you ask for other than people not being slobs(pick up after yourself!!!). Anyways, we scored a Full hook up site in X section, side by side sites for us and our traveling partners. All hook were good, no power issues. T mobile would occasionally work at our site but Not consistent....a booster would probably solve this issue. - acampingfan

Just an average park. Nice lake and the people are nice. Normal lot size, again just an average park. - john55

Disappointed member. Example of Thousand Trails quality decline. Save your money. Thousand Trails is a rip off. As a member since 1985, this organization has severely declined. The frequent ownership and management changes have destroyed this company. I am shocked they are still in business or sell memberships in California. I am completely disgusted with Thousand Trails! You have let Lake of the Springs go to crap! Trees and shrubs are hanging into the street in D section. My brand new motorhome has scratches the full length of both sides of the motorhome. I am going to find a way for Thousand Trails to pay for the exterior repairs on my new 2019 Winnebago Forza. Trash is all over the park. The power level sucked in D67. 105v is ridiculous and unacceptable. The power situation has not improved since our last stay at Lake of the Springs. I notice that sites with non-functioning power suddenly become tent sites. Very clever, but deceptive. Your plan to let the public in the parks may help your bottom line, but you have let unsavory characters in your parks. You have violated our contract. As I write this, I intend to engage my attorney to get a refund for dues that are supposed to be used for maintenance and what we have paid for our so-called membership. - PissedoffTTmember

Lots of shade under the mature trees here tucked in the back of the fairgrounds. Being a fairgrounds and not an RV resort there are no 'facilities' (showers/restrooms/laundry) as part of the RV area, and the long-term residents seemed to not pick up after their dogs but rather just let them run loose in the adjacent ball field. But otherwise clean, & nice and quiet. - AussieMom
Feb 2013 - $25.00
This is not a destination park, but it works quite well for a short stay in the area. As noted, it is a fairground, so it will not be available all of the time for folks passing through, so it is best to call. You check in at the fairground office across from the pool. I put that the campground has 39 sites, but their numbering system indicates there may be more that I am not counting. When we stayed there were only about 10 other campers, so there was lots of space. When it is almost empty like this, you can make some sites into pull-through sites. Also when occupied like this, there is lots of space. If the campground were full, it would be very crowded with close spaces. It is in a very quiet area and felt very secure. There are some big lights around, but they did not come on, so it was nice a dark at night, which we like. It is very convenient to shopping, such as there is in Gridley. It is also very convenient to the Gray Lodge Wildlife area, which is the reason we visited the area. Our Verizon cell phone and data worked well. If visiting the area, we would certainly stay here again. For the price it cannot be beat. - TheJim

This was a bad experience from the start when I could small the weed in the air. They charged me $20.00 for my dog and I asked why so much she said they have problems with dogs. After complaining it was late and I except it and later my wife called and complained and they refunded me 15.00. The park is small and mostly regulars and I was really uncomfortable with the dope in the air I was ready to leave. The sites are small I have a 38' motor home and it was tight plus the tree branches scratched my paint. Next time I'll be staying at the fair grounds. Never again will I stay at this park. - Diceman1036248
Jun 2018 - $35.00
We have been to this park before , we stay for a few months at a time because of my work. The park is well kept, with beautiful trees and green grass. Dogs are allowed and they do have a run which my dog loves. I would have to say its reasonably safe, and mostly quiet at night with no real traffic noise like at other parks. There are trains in the distance but just a few times a week not a bother. The staff is really nice, knowledgeable and helpful, and if they can accommodate a request, they will. They do have monthly rates as well as weekly and daily. Pull thru's are long enough for a 40 ft. fifth wheel and truck. Everything is full service,water,50 amp and sewer. - Ralf
Oct 2010 - $32.00
Landscaping maintained, pool and spa were dirty, bathroom and showers were dirty, laundry room - one dryer had gum stuck to it that was not cleaned. Staff were somewhat helpful. Park located on Hwy 99 where there was a shopping center with a Safeway, fast food, and Black Bear Restaurant with excellent large portions of food. Could also walk up one block to the Casa Lupe Mexican Restaurant with excellent food. Starbucks is another block up. - BusNuts

A former KOA that is now an RV park for residents/long term. We took the last available site for a night. The office is only open Monday through Friday, 9 to 5. No drop box for payments. Had to shove a check for $36 through the door jamb. The site (25) was big enough for our truck and trailer (55 feet). Lots of shade. It was somewhat a level, gravel site. Excellent water pressure. The electrical box only has 30/20 amp. It had breakers for 50 amp, but no plug. The cover was removed and was laying on the ground. The sewer hookup was just slightly higher than our hose support and also had no cover. Just a brick over the hole. I checked out the men's room and showers. They looked clean and usable if needed. We used the decent sized pool. I talked to a resident using it before we got in. She said it was cleaned on Friday. Our site had some grass and a picnic table. It was too hot out to use. There was some wood planks left behind along with a drinking hose, sewer elbow. I gave it a 5 because the site we were suppose it use was taken. And what would of happened if we couldn't get any site after driving 90 miles? Closed office on the weekends too. Also it's a bit hard to find if using your GPS. Mine took me to a driveway before the actual entrance that is shared with a mobile home park. - lodiguy
Jul 2014 - $32.00
Would never stay there again. Office staff was rude. Golf course was not maintained could not even play golf. Some kid (about 18) on a lawnmower woke me up every morning, not mowing just racing around making noise starting at 6AM till quitting time. Bathroom was Gross. - fulltimer52

This park is over run with people who are rude and abusive. People were fighting too. Very weird. The showers were dirty and broken. - Demato

Very pretty park next to the river. I was parked right on the river and the spot was delightful; however, I don't know that I would have cared for the back in spots farther away. Site sloped heavily to the front. There were very low hanging branches which scraped my AC unit while pulling in. Luckily there was no damage, but I would recommend checking before you pull in. The site was almost completely shaded, which was a boon as I was there during very hot weather. For most of the day, you could hear nothing but birds, but in the early morning, there is a lot of truck noise from the outfit next door. Customer service was good, wifi adequate. - KAP99

Zero stars, unprofessional owner and no frills here folks!! Keep on rolling past this high priced RV Park because if you stay here you will be nickeled and dimed to death. Meaning, this park likes to create additional fees for things like better internet connection and your visitors are charged $5 per car. Visitors who stay longer than a few min that is. Lots are mostly dirt and if you are lucky enough to get grass or weeds they will sometimes mow it leaving your patio covered in dead grass since no clean up of the cut grass occurs. When it rains your dirt lot is now a mud lot. Poor drainage throughout makes for a muddy mess everywhere inside/outside. If you have grass on your lot its temporary because once it gets hotter their sprinkler system does not water all grass. In fact none of our sprinklers worked so in the dry months we had a lot with dead gras and loose dirt flying around due to heavy winds at times. I cannot say enough about the gazillions of mosquitoes that are constantly around. Usually after 4 PM if you intend to be outside for any reason you will see them and feel their bites all over so intense you can only seek shelter. No kidding! Wake up to the nearby shooting range EVERYDAY! So no alarm needed! My advise is to keep rolling past this RV Park its overpriced and not worth the money, in our opinion. - Cheri s
Apr 2018 - $45.00
This is a nice wooded park right on the Feather River. Beware of those trees, though. We were in site 39, which was a pull through with a cement pad to park on. Unfortunately, we weren't warned about the overhanging branch on the utilities side of the pad, so when we pulled in, it scraped the top edge of the fifth wheel, tearing the covering and denting the structure. Stay to the right of the pad if you have a tall rig. Otherwise, the folks that run the park were very nice, as was the park. There are a lot of seasonal worker here working on the Oroville Dam spillway, but all sites were tidy. Wifi was good at this site. Picnic tables need repair or replacement. - Gannonrv

An OVERPRICED RV park with sites for larger rigs in back of the mobile home park. Poor maintenance, showers/restrooms a long walk, mediocre river access, no cable or wifi, poor access to the sites if other RV's were there. We were there four nights and were the only ones in the back section. Speaks volumes. Poor signage for the park. Clean restrooms but needed a separate key for men and women. Park needs a lot of work before they can expect to have much business. - bobnrobin
Mar 2011 - $35.00
This is a smaller, cozy park (RV's over 33 feet long are placed in the adjacent Golden Feather Mobile Home Park) with great access to outdoor activities. The Feather River is right next door for access to excellent fishing. Lake Oroville is just a short drive for those looking to go boating. Oh, don't forget the Oroville Dam. It's the tallest dam in the U.S.! The sites are all full hook-up, very level, have clean gravel and new 50-amp power pedestals with basic cable TV. The owners are putting a lot of attention and money into the park and it really shows. The bathrooms are brand new with beautiful tile floors, granite counter tops, and a large shower. And the on-site convenience store (the Golden Feather Marketplace) is being completely remodeled (it's schedule to re-open in April, 2011). It will offer beverages, snacks, bait & tackle, household & toiletry items, ice, propane and much more. Everyone we met and talked to while we stayed here, was friendly and helpful. Especially the on-site managers. (The office is located in the adjacent mobile home park in space #201.) We stayed for just a few nights, but the also offer weekly and monthly rates if you want more time to explore. - bcbounders

Concrete, pull through spots are about 50 ft. long. Streets are wide enough to park in front of or in back of rig. My spot had a metal table, four chairs, BBQ and fire pit. There is an excellent club house that can be used. We had two days of heavy rain, but the park drained well. This park had the best showers I have ever seen. The staff was very helpful with our RV group. - travelcouple
Jul 2018 - $41.00
Planned overnight stop here as this KOA has a pool. Over 105 degrees that day. No shade yet as this is a very new park. There was just enough space for my 30 ft 5th wheel. Parked the TV in the spacious road in front of our space. Did not go to the casino. - Central Cal 5er

Concrete site, with a picnic table on grass. Minor leveling, no shade. WiFi and 25-channel cable TV worked great. Two sewer connections which was convenient. Office staff was friendly and informative. Nice dog park. Swimming pool and hot tub. Casino just a 5-minute walk. - zigzag

Stayed three nights to visit relatives. Very nice, clean resort with everything needed in a rv resort. Pull through site, not long enough for our 40 ft. MH and towed jeep. Landscaped very nice, large grass area next to site with a nice table. Pet areas were available. Restrooms were new and spotless. Laundry was also spotless. A store and fuel station along with the office was next to a nice pool. - retirednrving
Jun 2018 - $52.00
Navigation into the park is very easy. Navigation through the park is very easy Lanes are wide & paved. They offer a choice of site lengths. Sites are wide concrete pads with a picnic table. Plenty of room to put out your slides. Nice large grass area between each site. 2 trees on each side of your rig - they are small now but in time will offer good shade. There is a bit of road noise on the front of the park; you may wish to be in one of the sites further back Utilities w/50 amp placed well & worked well. Good cable TV and easy satellite access. Our AT&T cell phone service works well as does our Verizon Hot Spot. Park WIFI is also good. There is a nice fenced, off leash Dog park with a very thick covering of wood chips is very clean. Onsite cafe/restaurant at the casino - RV park gives you coupons. Onsite laundry is very nice. We had no problems with bugs.Pool is very nice and heated. We will definitely come back. - JanneC
May 2018 - $54.00
This is a new park so the trees are not mature enough to provide shade. (It can get hot in Oroville during the summer.) The sites are wide and level concrete slabs. The site length varies depending on the specific location. There is lush green turf between sites with underground irrigation - no wet picnic tables or water overspray on vehicles. The pet area is fenced and covered with wood chips. The restrooms are spotlessly clean. The check-in staff is very helpful and friendly. It is walking distance to the casino, but a shuttle is available. If you are coming from the west, you will see a big sign for the RV park, but don't turn there because you will end up at a different park. Wait until you see the casino parking lot, then turn there and head towards the gas station and store. - Beau's Mom

Friendly office staff. Only booked one day, so we were glad after seeing our space, which had a very small space between RVs. Shady spot but very small cement patio. Wifi spotty. No cable TV, Picnic table, fire pit or BBQ available. Machinery noise from auto shop next door during the day. Very quiet at night though. Clean park & restrooms. But not a place I would stay at more than a day. Only recommend as a overnight stay if traveling through town. - Girl4God

Jan 2019 - $30.00
For the price this is not a good value. Parking in grass field and due to recent rain they tried to park me on the road. My power cord would not reach 30' to the pedestal. Water hook-ups are underground and filled with nasty rotting leaves and who knows what else. Gate is locked at night but they provide the code to unlock. Bathroom/showers are a disaster that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years. Unless you have a reason to be in the area I don't recommend this park. Choices are extremely limited so go in with your eyes open and expectations low. Be careful with the gate as it is heavy and hard to manage rolling it open/close. - NorCal Dan
Oct 2017 - $38.00
Grassy sites. Electric & water only. No wifi, some tv channels without cable. Dump station on site. Water hookup in the ground boxes. There was traffic noise, we needed earplugs. We were attending an event at the fairgrounds and stayed 2 nights. We had to pick up a lot of dog poop around our site so we wouldn't step on it. - Bintraveling3
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Overnight stay with late arrival. Called for gate code, but was not directed to a gate. Drove around grounds twice before trying the livestock gate, code worked. Site is large grass area with trees down lane. Sites far apart and very little lighting, so coming in dark not easy , and some areas soft from watering. Facilities were fairground standards, few spiders but usable. Water was not marked and hard to find, until morning when staff came by. Staff friendly, but hard to find. Will stay again when in area probably. No site amenities so bring your own. - jimNann
