Website says max 30', but a few sites have 30' pads and allow for 4 - 8' overhang, however our 34 1/2' motor home would have been right at the edge of drive. Nice camp hosts (their 6th year there), allowed us to parallel park in site 3 & 4 as the electric didn't work in #4. Lovely clean park with recent resurfacing of the blacktop (roads and all sites). Why in the world didn't they extend some of the sites so that midsized and larger units could fit? Plenty of space to do so. Quiet in February but probably noisy in better weather as they allow Jet Skis. Nice paved walk along lake. We camped at San Luis Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped for 2 nights. Very few camp sites have shade, else its very sunny. Summer may not be good time since the grass is all dried. The site have coin showers which are maintained good. Lot of place to hike and have water sports activity available in couple of miles. This site gives a stunning view of galaxy in night. We camped at San Luis Creek Campground in a Tent.

Date of Stay: December, 2010 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Best time to visit is in the off-season. This is our second visit on our way back home. We stayed two nights and spent the day visiting the San Luis Wildlife Refuge (worth the trip if you like to see big birds in wetland habitats). We had the whole campground to ourselves with a view of the O'Neil Forebay and rolling bucolic hills. Camp host was very pleasant and told us that nights had been cold. Said they didn't have much wind this year which is unusual. The campground is very well paved as are the pads which come with concrete curbs for the rig and nice spot for your tow right next to it. Nice grassy areas and beautiful mid-size, bushy pines here and there. Our rig is 31 feet and the parking spaces could actually fit a larger rig (backed in) without sticking into the camp roadway. We had lunch at the Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant (the one with the big windmill seen from I-5) in Santa Nella. Excellent food especially if you want "real" instead of "fast" food. There's a pretty big gift shop in the front and a full bar in room off the main dining room. We will definitely return to this campground especially during the off-season. We camped at San Luis Creek Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We camped there on memorial day weekend and didn't enjoy ourselves at all. None of the locks on the bathroom doors worked, which lead up to myself being walked in on by other people. Unfortunately, the wind was blowing so hard that the lake was shut down to all boat traffic. That seems to happen very frequently in this park. We ended up leaving a day early because it was a very noisy place. We camped at San Luis Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight on the way back from Easter, in Northern CA. Campground is several miles off the highway. Self-registration was in progrees and reservations are non-site specific. Campground not very well marked for ease of site identification in the dark, but ample and level. We pulled in around 10 PM and found a site where the nearly-full moon shone on the water, directly across the camp road from the toilets. Pit toilets, very clean. Hookups for water and electric only. Lovely in the springtime, probably quite hot and dusty in the summer. We camped at San Luis Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This campground is one of three in the San Luis SRA and is the most developed. It did not, however, have showers but did have pit toilets. Space 20 was shaded on both sides and had a view of the lake. There was a walking trail that ran through the campground along the shoreline. Dump station provided for two vehicles at one time. Self-registration was in process. Part of campground closed down. Other than not having Rest Rooms with running water, showers and flush toilets, this is a very nice place. We camped at San Luis Creek Campground in a Motorhome.
