Location, location, location. Our first visit, we requested a back-in in the new section (which I later understood is actually for long term stay). First thing I noted was that the direction they suggested we approach our site from was the opposite of the direction you should to angle in. This is because there is a specific direction of travel recommended. You enter the park on the north & exit on the south. This new area of the park is virtually all gravel with a few areas of grass. Recently planted trees. Not unattractive, reminiscent of the nicest west Texas parks. (The surrounding country roads reminded us of inland coastal Alabama.) Satellite TV reception was unobstructed. This a big RV park. Different areas definitely have different environments. The opposite side of the park was more attractive, more country like. One of the things that hurts the park is that there are a very large number of long term guests (I have no problem with that) but too many of the sites show a lack of pride of ownership. Unfortunately the majority of them are along the routes used to navigate the park. During this first visit, we reserved a pull thru in a different section for a few weeks later. That turned out to be when N Cal was experiencing very heavy rains. Upon arrival we requested that we be allowed another back-in site in the new area. We were graciously accommodated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vineyard RV. The country setting so close to the Bay Area is makes this facility a solid choice east of S.F. - biosensai
Jun 2017 - $54.00
We stayed here 3 days, was lucky to get a reservation as the NASCAR race was held in Somona and all the nearby RV parks were full. The restrooms and laundry need better ventilation, extremely hot. The park is older and needs some upgrades, roads, utilities etc. No WiFi when we were there, was told that they are trying to get a new vendor. Trees helps with the heat but blocks the use of satellite receiver. - dfc
Apr 2017 - $50.00
We were scheduled to be here for a week. We stayed 3 nights only because that was the soonest I could get a reservation elsewhere. They advertise WIFI but I was unable to get online, day or night. Roads were terrible, ruts, broken asphalt and holes. Dog park was a dirt fenced area with the fence falling down. Place was just shabby. Lots of long time residents. Kids and dogs aplenty. When I made the reservation I was told that the site was a back-in and there would be no problem getting me in there. When I arrived I was told by the same person that the owners had told him that he could not assist anyone in positioning their RV because of liability issues. A neighbor helped me park. Site didn't have picnic table, grill or fire ring...would never stay here again or recommend to anyone!! - PF Taylor

Jul 2016 - $55.00
The Manager was extremely helpful and friendly. The park is conveniently located just off Highway 80 but not noisy at all. The park was very clean: bathrooms and laundry facilities were immaculate. This was the nicest park we stayed in during our summer road trip. Lots of ripe and delicious fruit trees and a great play area and swimming pool. (We were the only ones there!) - User737
Apr 2016 - $45.00
Lots of Eucalyptus trees but we still had room to maneuver our coach into a pull through spot. Very shady, quiet, and safe. We left for a few days and drove to San Francisco; was an easy drive. There's a large outlet mall nearby and some excellent restaurants in nearby towns. The manager was helpful and friendly. Liked that they had free movie DVDs. - Betty2016
Feb 2016 - $40.00
Stayed 2 nights. Older park but in good condition. Very old trees provide lots of shade. Quiet with adequate space between campsites. Great location of going into S.F. for sightseeing. - gnlandrus

Dec 2019 - $64.00
We have stayed at this park several times since we purchased the RV in 2016. I was very pleased with the improvements and additions they have made over the years. Most sites are back in, but in the older areas there are some pull-thrus. They opened a new area (400s) that is used primarily for long term RVers (months or years) a few months ago. Now they have opened an even larger area (200s and 500s) with gravel pads and new picnic tables. There is plenty of room for the rig, tow and slides. Being a newer area the landscaping is still growing. There are grass areas. Cable is available. Also - surprise- they have paved most of the previous gravel areas. We find lots of food and shopping areas within a 10 min drive in Vacaville. There are two parks on Midway road, the other park doesn't seem to be making the same improvements, but we have never stayed there. Negatives - Sprint and AT&T are weak, Verizon is better. Long drive between parking area and entrances and exits. Midway is, as stated, two lane and not in great repair. It is better to enter from 505 instead of 80 as it is a shorter drive on Midway. - Nana_Grandpa
Oct 2019 - $76.00
We were going to stay 4 nights to see some of the sights in the area but stayed an extra night avoiding the state wide deliberate arbitrary power shutoff. The park is in a rural setting so there isn't much around. It is a short drive from I-505 along a rural 2 lane road in poor condition. The park has 2 newer sections and an older section. The older section is showing it's age. The interior roads are single lane, one way, uneven, with a mixture of paved or gravel surface. The traffic pattern requires loops around the park to get in & out. The turns, road condition and congestion made maneuvering larger RVs a challenge. We arrived during a paving project were the single lane was torn up or closed making getting through the park even more of a challenge. The sites are a mixture of back-ins and pull thrus. The parking pads are gravel/dirt. The P/T sites were not long enough to say connected to a toad so extra vehicles encumbered the road. Distance and grassy areas establish privacy between the sites. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The water seemed to be softened as it foamed so we purchased bottled water for consumption. The utility connections were at the back of the site. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table but no fire pits. There wasn't much turn over as most of the occupants appear to be long term. There were several sites in violation of the park rules. People were wondering through occupied sites. The park's irrigation system was watering the parking pad and road but not the sites' grassy areas. There were quite a few trees scattered throughout the park and around the perimeter so satellite reception would be dependent upon your site and dish configuration. According to the park's brochure there were 43 channels and if the site didn't have cable, local channels could be reached with an antenna. - bsb814
Oct 2019 - $66.00
So disappointed in this place. Their website pictures are really deceiving. As we pulled in it is just a dust bowl and the sites aren't much better. Broken down picnic tables and dusty and dirty. Lots of big trucks coming through and making it worse. We wouldn't have stayed, but of course they already ran our credit card! Would never recommend! - Val Hannah

Aug 2019 - $24.00
This was our first trip in a travel trailer and it was close to home, just in case. The park is very dry this time of year and sadly our visit was during a heat wave. We brought our two large dogs and other than early morning walks we were all trailer bound. The water didn't have enough flow to move the layers of branches along the shoreline. The grounds are large enough to stroll but the day campground across the street doesn't allow dogs. Since it's against the law to leave an animal in a parked vehicle they need to travel whoever we go. We enjoyed this location due to it's proximity to our home. Planning to return in September since the weather will be cooler then. - Cindra and Don
May 2019 - $44.00
Site #26, pull thru, on the water, but road noise across from lake. Bring a weed eater, because they can't keep up with the grass and there are snakes. Peacocks are harmless and beautiful. There is quite the history of the bird there. Kayaking was great, lots of birds. The only boat ramp is in the day use area. There are rickety steps in the campground that work, but getting out is not fun. Friendlly people, biking and walking between the campground and day use if fun. If you want shade and no water view, the the upper sites are for you. We stayed only 2 nites because of rain, lots of rain. They lock the gates at 9pm every nite. Nice park. - master of leisure
May 2017 - $20.00
My husband & I stayed here May 28 thru June 4th. We like this park for it's outdoor feel but the one thing you need to know before you plan on staying are the peacocks. There are many and they constantly call out. Not so bad during the day but 9 p.m., 11p.m., 2 a.m., 4 a.m. all hours of the day and night. Most of the sites are rugged but good for trailers. We have a 35' class A and stayed in site #49 which we liked a lot. It has 30 amp and water and had a few low branches but not so low that we couldn't get in. There are 10 sites on the strip we stayed and we would reccommend any of them but we feel the nicest site in this park is #25. It is clear of branches pretty level and is next to the creek. The park was almost completely full when we arrived Sunday for Memorial Day weekend but 90% left the next day. We were lucky to find a site here since we didn't have a reservation. There are very few campers during the week. Mosquitos weren't too bad but we would definately reccommend putting OFF or something similar on. Bikes are a plus to have as you can go around the park, down to the creek and over to the day use park which is across from the campground. To wrap up, if you can put up with the peacocks calling at all hours this is a nice campground to stay. We would camp here again. - Carl and Ellie

This is a Fairground. The campsites are in a parking lot again a fence backing up to a neighborhood. They have planted lemon and orange trees between sites once grown it will help provide much needed shade. Full hookups for each site. There is a nice green space in front of most of the sites. The fair office which handles rental is only opened Monday through Friday. The electric boxes are locked so make arrangements if arriving after business hours or weekends. One of the fair ground buildings was leased out to parties on the Saturday nights we where there. Loud music thumping till midnight. - Judy Bufkin
Apr 2018 - $30.00
Things have not changed much since our last visit. Still very low water pressure and barky dogs during the dog show. We were in site #16 and were able to get a DTV satellite signal but that might be a problem when the trees have all their leaves. Good Verizon 4g service. Super friendly and helpful folks in the office. - StarlifterFE
Jun 2017 - $30.00
Super nice and friendly. Excellent price for FHU. Highly recommend looking online to see if there are any events prior to your arrival. Dog show in town during our stay didn't result in RV park being completely full, but it did mean a lot of barking dogs etc. - Grrrrr

Nov 2018 - $20.00
We've been here for a month (November) and have had relatively no complaints about the park. It is neat and clean and the sites are spaced well so you have plenty of room. All sites are back in and deep enough for any size RV and park your truck or car in front of the rig. The initial visual of the park is very nice with a section of the park that is landscaped and has some shade trees. This is the 'no pet' zone. As you come further back in to the 'pets allowed' area there is no landscaping or shade trees. The grass in the pet area, although watered regularly and maintained, looks dried up. There are some RV's in the pet section that are, well.....not the latest models and one even has a tarp over the top. But, that's okay. Not all people can have brand new Tiffins (we certainly don't). There is no wifi and, in this day and age, that is almost unacceptable. The park hosts are great people! Very helpful, very friendly and generally good folks. It's a small world in that we knew that we knew each other but couldn't place each other. We finally realized we had parked next to each other the previous summer in Rhode Island. Now we're all the way on the other side of the country and run in to them. The BX and commissary are very close by as is San Francisco, Sacramento and even Lake Tahoe is a nice day trip. We would come back. - jomark
Nov 2017 - $20.00
As noted by others, there's a difference between the sites available for pet owners & non-pet owners. There's also a different level of pet sites. The lesser is limited to 30 amp sites that sit at right angles to the road. That's where we stayed & it was just fine. This is a nice facility. My wife & I, civilians ourselves, strive to only stay in the very best RV resorts. This isn't that, but it it isn't meant to be. It was a great place to stay during a Thanksgiving week visit to our military family son. There was always a site or 2 vacant. Most have satellite TV clearance. Especially in the "nicer", where trees abound, this could be a problem, as could trees coming in contact with larger rigs. A very spacious fuel station is located nearby. The commissary & BX, along with good size food court are even closer. - biosensai
Aug 2017 - $20.00
We stayed for a week. The famcamp is mixed. Some sites, mainly in the no pets section are very nice, others (where we were) are pretty barren- no shade. The site maintenance is mixed, at least two sites have faulty circuit breakers, they trip at least once a minute (we learned our site (46) was one of the two). On the plus side the price is right, exchange and commissary are just blocks away diesel is available, laundry and bathrooms are clean and functional. We'd stay there again but would certainly try for the better sites behind the office. - captaincakes

Aug 2019 - $4.00
I'm a member of this resort. Came with my grandson just before the start of school. I was not notified that the power was going to be out, 100 degrees weekend. So went to the pool it was busy which was OK, except the bathroom was locked with a combination which we didn't know and no one was around to help. Then also noticed that the pool table was ripped up, the foose ball table handles were broken. Outside there is a botchee ball court that is unusable because of weeds. Years ago when I joined I was told that they were working on internet and cable (lies). Do not become a member here. I don't know where my maintenance money is going. Maybe management is maintaining their lives not my investment. - Brian Barrett
May 2018 - $2.00
This is our home park, and we love it here. When we are home, this is where we stay. Great place to unwind, just a few miles from Lake Berryessa. Sites are mostly back-in, but they do have a few pull-thru. Putah Creek runs right down the side of the park. Lots of geese with babies, families camping on the weekends, and wonderfully quiet at night. A bit dusty, but views are worth it. Not much in Winters, but Vacaville is down the road with shopping, outlets, hospitals, etc. Only complaint is the electric gate. You have to punch in and out, and you have to get out of your vehicle to do so, which is mostly just a pain. Supposedly has great pizza, but the cafe seems to be closed much more than open. They also need to add a supplies shop. There is no sewer, but they do have honey wagon twice a week. - WSKeifer
Apr 2018 - $1.00
We stayed for free as part of an offer when we purchased our trailer as long as we attended a presentation for their campground membership. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Upon arriving, they took us around in a golf cart to show us the property and let us choose our spot. The grounds were very clean and had good amenities. We didn't use the pool or other outdoor amenities as it was too cold and windy while we were there but they appeared to be in good condition. Some of the spots near the creek were really pretty and seemed quiet. We didn't stay there as it was fairly crowded in that area and they don't offer sewer hookups along the creek. We were near the office and really enjoyed our spot. No Verizon cell coverage was a minus as we had problems and couldn't call for help. They gladly let me use an office phone which was nice. - airtime247

If you are looking for primitive style dry-camp this may be the place for you. I had site #103 just above the water. I was in a 26 Foot C Class but a much longer rig would fit on this site. Be careful which site you reserve as many will not fit a motor home even though they say they will. (I went in my car ahead of time to pick a site.) My site was fairly level with fire pit and picnic table. No other amenities at this park. No running water or flush toilets, but they say they are coming. I was able to get my satellite easily. - Tony T
May 2011 - $35.00
At this point, this facility is dry camping only--there are not even water faucets in the campground. There are some clean portal-potty's available. Other than that, the campground staff is friendly and helpful, the sites are well maintained and level, and have new picnic tables and fire rings. Most sites are lakefront. A big launch ramp is available for boats. Hook-ups are planned for the future. - morganhillers
Jun 2008 - $50.00
This is a great RV park for boating and fishing and is right on the marina of Lake Berryessa in Napa. It is located right on the water with a fair number of sites on the waterfront. There are a number of spots that offer good shade, but many of the sites do not have any cover. Basically a parking lot right next to the waterfront, but it is convenient for those who are using the lake for recreational boating. Each site has a BBQ and picnic table, but no fire pits. Guests may use their guest slips on a first come first serve basis or you can rent your own slip at a minimal cost at the marina. They also have a pool and a swim/picnic area. During the peak season, there is a restaurant and an ice cream shop on site within a 10 min walk. Right next to the marina there is a general store and a snack shop. This is our campground of choice when we go to Lake Berryessa. - tagalongwife

This park will be closing July 13. Very minimal hookups. We dried camp in our RV. Convenient place for launching your boats. Dusty dirty camping. Obnoxious loud foul mouthed campers. People above us were wasted. A few had fallen and rolled down the hill and some were puking right above us. Not a place to bring your kids due to some of the choice words our fellow trashy campers used. Not a peaceful quiet stay at all. A lot of drunk people throughout. Loud and inconsiderate. Some were kicked out at 4:00am for fighting. Security could not keep up having to warn campers to quiet down. Paid in full during reservation and we were told that 2 cars per spot. Not true and charged us extra for 2nd vehicle. Hopefully the new owners will clean up the place. It needs major updating. Overall too much riff raff and the staff are clueless. The nice thing is that we were able to keep our generators on longer since no one else was respecting the quiet time. We were also off away from most. Could be a descent park if there was a way to weed out the lowlifes. Maybe if this was mostly an RV park it would be better. - cbettex

Convenient location, close to town (Napa). We had sufficient room for our 33 ft MH plus tow car. Some sitting area. A bit tight but not nearly as bad as other places we have been. Sites are gravel, level and in good condition. They have full hookup and partial (no sewer). Wi-Fi actually worked well. We were a bit out of season (end of August), so they were about 1/3 full. We found the staff friendly and helpful. No cable TV and limited OTA station reception. - Fluffy_driver
Aug 2019 - $43.00
The problem with this park is twofold: 1. The sites are way too small for the equipment that they are expected to serve. So much so that there was no room to park our tow vehicle in the first site that we were in. We requested a move, and they put us in a site that, whilst barely adequate to park our travel trailer and tow vehicle, had no space to even sit outside. That is not our idea of camping. Especially in a city park which otherwise has a lot of space to move around in. 2. The attitude of the camp hosts was, on two observed occasions 'all about them'. They weren't in the slightest bit interested in checking us in, taking ages to complete a simple task, instead glorifying that they would have to work less when a coworker became able to return to work. Then, another camp host scolded us for parking our tow vehicle in our assigned (too small) site, telling us that we should park it elsewhere. It's not our fault that you put us in a site that was too small. Then, when requesting a change in site, the original camp host wasn't the slight bit interested in discovering why we wanted to move. These folks need to learn about Customer Service. It has spoiled what should have been a good experience. This from a former San Diego County park attendant. - Simon and B

We really enjoyed staying here. If you like to bike, hike or enjoy any outdoor activity, this is the place. If you want to explore The city of NAPA you are right there. The sites are close together, gravel and back to back but plenty of room to back in. The facilities where well kept and staff was very helpful We will return. - User603
