I saw some good and bad reviews of this spot so I came in with an open mind to either direction. I can honestly say this was an amazing spot to stay. Service was top notch. They made me and my friends feel like family from the moment we walked in. Showers and bathrooms are beautiful and very clean. Campground is very well kept and clean. I will be back for sure. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

After staying at several terrible campgrounds on our 2.5 month trip, this campground was a blessing. I'm broken hearted in that we are only staying here for two nights. Campground is VERY shaded with mature trees, important in the desert. We have a pull through with 50 amps so no worries about using A/C (but there were wonderful desert thunderstorms in the afternoons that cooled things off). Pull through campsites are gravel/grass so are very pleasant and not dusty. And did I mention the shade? Sort of close to other units, but it felt very private. You are basically in town, but no car noise and you can walk to shops/restaurants. If there was more to do here, I'd love to stay a week or two. Definitely stay here. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

From moment one the customer service at this campground was absolutely terrible. The desk clerk was rude and actually seemed angry that she had to interact with us. The grounds crew were just strange as they would give us and other campers dirty looks and glare at us as though we were in a concentration camp. The restrooms were dirty and actually backed up while we were staying here. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were here in a 30' motorhome, arriving from Salt Lake City. As requested our site was near the clean laundry. Average cost. Showers use tokens, which can be obtained at the office daily, but not later in the day. Great place to tent camp. We walked into the town of Lee Vining (1/4 mile at the most). Ate dinner at Nicely's and the next day at the Epic. Drove over to Whoa Nellie! for lunch later in the week. Most meals were in the Motorhome or the picnic table. Good grocery store nearby. We recommend it all. We return yearly. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

The place was a mess...the showers were dirty, trash cans were overrunning, bathrooms in horrible condition. The management lacked any type of professionalism and customer service was horrible. The staff was rude and very unpleasant to be around. I highly encourage you to look at any other place to stay in Lee Vining. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Tent.

Very pleasant campground with a variety of options for sites. Nicely landscaped with many trees and grass. Our site was a pull-thru with no problem for our slide-outs. The driveway of the site ends on a large grassy area which you can use to unhitch but not to park on. So depending on how you situate your RV, unhitching could be mandatory. This applies to the whole row we were in. We had no problem in pulling our RV all the way forward to the grass & then parking behind. But sites are close together so that our picnic table was close to our neighbor's hook-ups. Our site also had an electrical transformer box that hummed constantly although it was much quieter at night. The owners are quite insistent about dogs using the pet walk which has some grass & then a nice trail out into the sagebrush. Although close to the highway, the campground is pretty quiet. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Made reservations early enough, so I would get a spot here on my visit to Yosemite. I was given a long pull-thru site for my 42' 5th wheel. Had plenty of room for my RV and room to park my truck. I had a gravel 50 amp site with a picnic table. Had to use their cable as trees made the dish inop. The wi-fi worked well. Sites are close together but easy to maneuver in the park. The park is right in town with some good restaurants and any type of supplies you need. The showers & bathroom are clean and up to date. The only delta is the cost of fuel in CA . We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is the most dog UNfriendly park I have ever experienced. They have signs all over about no dog pooping or peeing around the park and direct you to a 6 foot by 6 foot square of dirt to have your dog do its business. But then if you walk past this area on the path out of the park, there is SO much dog doo that you cannot walk. There is no other place for your dog. And do NOT stay here if it is the least bit warm out because you are NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE YOUR DOGS/ANIMALS in your rig - You have to take them with you when you leave the park. And the owners are SO rude it is horrible. I stayed here twice - once without the dogs and once with. I didn't know how terrible they are towards animals and people and left after one night the second stay because of the rudeness and the rules about dogs not being allowed to stay behind inside your rig with the air conditioning on. The sites are not level, their "pull throughs" are NOT pull throughs because if you pull through on their grass, then they come and yell at you about being on the grass. They will not let you move your RV around under the trees to get satellite either. I would not stay here ever again. And the owners threatened me when I decided to leave after only one night and I had to fight to get my money back because we were planning on staying 5 days. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

Super friendly staff, provided lots of info on area. Conveniently located in Lee Vining, overlooking Mono Lake (hence the name...) just below Yosemite's beautiful Tioga Pass. Park is quiet, despite the fact it sits right on highway 395. Most of the sites are shaded. We pulled in without a reservation, parked in site 32 (water&elec only) which was spacious enough for our 30 ft motorhome but I think it's the only one not leveled... Very clean park, very nice staff, gravel with grass sides. Nice view, although we were on the corner, nearest the exit with a mostly clear view to the north. Wifi should be included, and if they are going to put a cable hookup at the site, it should work with at least a few channels. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a good base camp for a couple of days with a partial hookup, or make a reservation for a full hookup for an extended stay. Bodie Ghost Town state park is north, Mono lake is just across the road, Yosemite is up and over Tioga Pass to the west, and Mammoth Lakes and Devils Postpile are south, all within an hour drive. Fishing, hunting, scenery all around. Weather can be dicey, we arrived the last day of summer, and it was snowing!

We had a backin site with full hookups. Had cable but not a lot of channels. It didn't work at first but they came right over and fixed it. There is grass around the sites but they want you to take your dog to the dog walk area. That would be ok if it was a bigger grassy area but it's just a path basically. No wifi but Verizon worked and we have an unlimited plan. Laundry room was clean. You have to use high heat on the dryers and they still take forever. It's 30 minutes for $1.00 but it takes at least an hour for a normal size load. It's a short walk to the little town. Friendly people in the office. Their showers and laundry are open to the public until 6 pm. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a small RV park in the town of Lee Vining, CA, near Mono Lake. We had a back in site with a gravel surface, some shade, 30 amp electric, water, sewer and cable. If you want WiFi there is a charge, $4 per day, I think. We didn't use it. We couldn't get satellite signal due to trees so we did use their cable which is somewhat weak in the quality of signal and number of channels. Bathrooms were good condition and reasonably clean. They don't accept credit cards. We paid $38.08 per night. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for five nights while hanging out in the area. The staff was wonderful. Everything was clean and well cared for. Some of the sites were very close together, but others had a bit more room between them. The bathrooms were clean. You did need tokens for the shower, but they were free for campground guests. There was always someone roaming around the sites picking up trash, watering the grass, and making sure everything was OK. We really enjoyed our stay here. Be sure to eat at Whoa Nellie's Deli in the Tioga Gas Mart - great food. Stop at the Mono Basin Scenic Area Visitor Center for all the great things to do in the area. Tioga Pass into Yosemite was still closed when we were there (mid-June) but we still found plenty of things to do!

Great office service before arrival, switched our one nights stay with ease and a smile. Arrived after hours to find instructions posted on office door. Space was tight, even for a 28' class A with tow but adequate and easy access to hookups of water and electric. Small view of Mono Lake, nice dog path and short walk into town.
