Sep 2009 - $20.00
We stayed on site #39 which was fairly flat but there's only room for 2 tents, the others are located in uneven ground. The bathrooms were about 70' from our tents and one was flooded and filthy, the other was OK. Since lots of people were using those toilets (flush) sometimes there was a wait. It was an easy walk to the lake which is very beautiful but rather small. We went on Labor Day weekend and there were lots of boats all over with noisy sea-dos. Also lots of people on the trails. There's a quiet time from 10PM but it was not enforced and people partied until the wee hours of the morning. No one told them to be quiet after 10PM. The parking attendant was checking the sites every day without failing. There were limited parking spaces per site and each car must be registered. Overall it was good, but I personally like quiet campgrounds. - renaelindsay

Beautiful heavily wooded location. Some sites have a view of Bass Lake. Adjacent to Millers Landing which offers showers, store, marina, and grill. They have sites which can accommodate a 40 footer, but it will be a tight squeeze both on the road and in the site. The friendly camp host sells firewood and each site has a fire ring. No hookups, and bring a water-thief to fill your tanks. - morganhillers

This RV park is a mix of cabins (park model trailers) and RV sites. Our site was sloped but were able to level with 2" blocks. The check in guy said wi-fi was "iffy" and that was accurate. The park was mostly empty during our stay. The wi-fi cut out about every 3-5 mins. No cell signal (AT&T) either. They do have cable with about 8 basic stations. Utilities are low to the ground but I was able to connect my pressure value. Didn't really need it, the water pressure was adequate but weak. I would avoid site 3. There is a bridge over a gully that leads to the restrooms. Everyone will walk through that site to and from. The store out front has some convieience items and has gas pumps. Regular gas was $3.96/ gal which was better than $4.20 on the way to the park and $4.80 in the park. It's about 75 miles round trip to Yosemite Valley. Interior roads are wide enough for big rigs, site 4 was adequate for a 40 footer. There are a few pull-though that are good for larger rigs too. The pool was open, didn't use it, the rest rooms are dated and "camp style". They were clean when I checked them. We spent most of out time in the National Park, the RV place met our needs. - DJR CMR

Stayed for 14 nights. On check in they undercharged us $200. We let them know and they charged us the $200 but little in the way of thanks. The laundry room is appalling, dirty, dark, and one of the dryers did not work so you spent far too much time waiting. On 2 occasions mysterious charges appeared on our Visa in the amount of $1.00. We questioned it the first time and after 3 calls the owner gave us a buck. The second time we brought it up the owner never got back to us. We had 1 of 2 pull through sites and it was very large but so sloped that I could not level my travel trailer even with blocks. The park was quiet and adequately maintained. The front dessk has postcard type handouts showing a nightly rate of $40 but the rate is actually $50. Water supply was very close to the ground and right beside the sewer connection. - Neil and Sue

The big draw for this park is of course its proximity to Yosemite, especially if you want full hook-ups or if you have a larger RV. It is a small resort with lots of cabins for rent. The drive to Yosemite isn't far, but then to get into the park will take you longer. We learned quickly how very congested it is in the Valley, which is a dead-end, by the way. We had originally planned on staying in the park but couldn't get a spot, and were we glad! We are in a 36' motor home, pulling a Jeep. The winding and congested roads in Yosemite would not have been fun to drive in the RV. Yosemite Ridge Resort is very nice, and our site was large with lots of grass and picnic table. The big negative is NO Verizon service and their internet barely worked. So staying here for 6 days was a bit difficult from that perspective. Note: the Groveland Library is 15 minutes away, a good spot to do your computer work. - dbcordello

Jul 2018 - $15.00
Overall a good campground for visiting Yosemite and Sequoia national parks if you wish to be away from the crowds . Very quiet and hidden with excellent water and electric, No sewer Wi-Fi or cable. Plenty of OTA channels. Gated and locked at night and patrols by national park service. Bathrooms and showers need a good cleaning. Would stay again. - Biggyrat
Aug 2017 - $15.00
Nice campground with great views of Hensley Lake. Unfortunately in 2017 the lake is very low. Located in the desert so don't be surprised to see lots of dry dead grass as you enter the campground. Great central location to drive to both Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks. Long but scenic drives. - Kansas Traveler

The restrooms are adequate and the showers are decent, however they need a good scrubing. Smiley around the bottom and corners. Could use an exhaust fan also. - db77
