Reserved Space 47 weeks in advance. Checked in July 27, paid and they circled 47 as our spot. Got back into the RV and waited for the gate to open. Finally another employee came running out and told us to go to space 142 instead. We wen to check out that spot. Not good. No trees, no grass. 47 was completely shaded. Called the office saying that that spot will not work for us. OK, they said go to space 9. Same thing right next to the freeway. Called again and said we are on our way back for a refund. On the way we spotted an empty space 19. Called the office, they said go ahead and take that one, we will move those people. Spot was nice and wide with ample shade across from the pool. We had driven in from Lake Havasu City and wanted shade!! Setup and waited for our kids to come from various OC locations. Had a good visit even though there were quite a few ants. Went to bed at 10 and our entire inside was infested with ants including the bed. Left at 10:30pm and drove 5 hours back to Havasu Saturday night. Reservation was until Monday. We were right on top of a giant ant hill as was a previous reviewer. Had not ant spray with us because in 25 years of RVing had never run into this. Also there is NO splash pool or kids playground. Pool was refreshing. - L_P

We stayed here for 2 nights. Site was spacious. Hookups worked fine. Grounds were clean. Restrooms could be better with a sink. Location is good. Everything seemed right until returning back from 12 hours at Disney to find our airstream infested with ants. Upon looking for the source, we found the entire gravel pad under the trailer was a massive ant nest. They came up the hookup cable and hoses, the tires, the jacks. We literally spent the next 3 days killing ants. The morning after finding this we reported it to the manager. His response was 'ya. Oh well.' I would not recommend this place after that experience, which not only ruined our time in Anaheim, but ruined the rest of our trip. Beware. - Leverace

Easy access from I-91, wide paved roads, large gravel sites, site was level, good satellite reception, lots of green space giving the RV park a wide open feel, big rig friendly, Perfect - Lama79

Oct 2006 - $12.00
This park is not recommended for anyone with a trailer. The reason is the park entrance is by a NARROW, ONE LANE washboard road, and if you meet someone coming the other way, you cannot pass. If you do decide to camp here, the campground is on a hill, and the sites are not level, but are on asphalt. There is a charcoal grill and a picnic table, and water is at a central spigot. The rangers are very friendly, and the campground is quiet. - res08hao
Sep 2005 - $12.00
While Chino Hills State Park has existed for a couple of decades, or more, the new small campground was just opened in May of 2005. Maximum length for RV's is 28 feet. All spots are back in. In a few years the trees they have planted will provide nice shade. The 24 spots are all paved and pretty level, and are terraced up the side of a hill, so everyone gets a view! The restrooms and showers are brand new and immaculate! Lot's of hiking, mountain biking trails. The park is about 12,000 acres with lots of Oak trees. When you enter the park you will drive about 3 miles on a narrow dirt road until you reach the center of the park where everything is paved. Very helpful Rangers on duty and easy to find. Very quiet. This little campground is one of the best kept secrets in the area. You will feel like you are 200 miles from anywhere, when in fact you are less than 4 miles from civilization! You can hear the coyotes at night. Get's the ocean breezes from Orange County. - chockwald

Jul 2017 - $20.00
This is a nice campground. Staff at the main gate were friendly and helpful. Very few campers during the week, however this place is always full on the weekends. The vast majority of campers here are tents, popups, etc. The site we had barely fit our 30' trailer, and there was no shot whatsoever of keeping the truck in the spot as well. This place was very busy during the weekend, and really an RV felt out of place to me, in the sea of tents. Fresh water was available near the site, and the dump station was well placed. We had a major ant problem as our stay concluded, and fought ants in the trailer for many days afterwards. Take measures to (hopefully) prevent ants when staying here! I did like the setting of this park, and would return. It was great to "get out of the city" and find this park. Very peaceful place. - KeystoneTT
May 2016 - $20.00
Great place, great sites, no electric, but water hookups. Lots of trees and wildlife in a beautiful setting. - coyotetraveler
May 2013 - $15.00
Rate reflects senior (60+) discount. Nice assortment of sites, some very large pull through. Threaded water spigots on most but not all sites. Many sites have trees and shade. I picked one which is partially shaded and kept solar panels in the sun. Clean basic restrooms with showers. Good Verizon signal. Was not crowded mid week, but full on weekends. Some traffic noise from nearby road, but quiet at night. Natural setting, very pretty. Summer days can get into the 90s. - tpild

Jun 2016 - $47.00
ANTS, flies from the livestock and to top it off, the site dump station was plugged. Didn't discover that until I pulled the black water handle! Site was un-level asphalt. Lot's of dirt surrounding the site. Ample space from your neighbor and plenty of grass play area for children. We've been here several times but didn't remember the ants and flies, but the dump station forces us to stay away. - SD75mac
Jun 2016 - $40.00
Have stayed here before. Large Sites with tables and fire pits. Utilities worked fine. Verizon strong. Dog friendly, Kid friendly. Plenty of grass, fishing available. Would have graded higher, except ANTS!! Make sure you spray hoses, electrical cords, jacks, tires with ant spray. Some use Comet Powder Pot cleaner around RV. Office will spray area if asked. It is a beautiful Campground. No Wi-Fi or cable. Over the air TV available. - silverado
Dec 2015 - $40.00
I would give it a 10 if it had cable TV and Wi-Fi. We had a pull through and was level but some sites the picnic table is on the wrong side. The laundry was good, it is in the open. - hotpepperkid
