The best price and the closest location to Morro Rock and the surrounding shops and restaurants. Right out of the CG back gate is the dunes, the rock and a walking trail (15 mins.) to Embarcadero St and the shops etc. And of course, the beautiful Pacific Ocean steps away. The sites are close, but all separated by a fence, hook-ups are normal with no issues. Trash is picked up daily. Staff were great, even helping with a file I need to download from the Internet. Small camp store with the usual's, but did have dairy. Hard to find in many CG's. Wi-Fi and cell service was excellent with no drop offs. Groceries, sundries and just about everything else all within a 3 mile range. * Single guy wandering our great country. I'm self contained and didn't use the showers or any other facilities. There is no pool. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

We had a nice back-in site so we had a view of the "Rock". That was great. We were very close to the beach and shops for walking or riding our bikes. Had a very nice time a the park for the 2 days we were there. Employees are very nice. We couldn't afford to stay for longer......CA prices are blowing our budget! Nice clean park, better than expected view and great location. Nice walking beach just behind the RV park. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our third Xmas at this park and we really enjoy it. Office staff is friendly & helpful. Grounds are well taken care of. The roads through the campground are paved but the sites are not. They are fine gravel and dirt and can get pretty muddy when it rains. Be prepared with outdoor mats or RV rug. Pull through sites are a little narrow but are divided by a low fence for some privacy. Some of the back-ins are wide enough for the RV and a vehicle parked next to it. The park is fenced for security but during the day has easy access to the beach. The beach is right across the little street that runs by the park. The beach and campground are dog friendly. There is a dog park in the campground. Several laundry sites in the campground are well maintained but machines are old. Reservations are recommended & you can make them a year ahead of time (the 1st of the month you want to stay). We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We were the wagon masters for a weekend TT rally of 14 units. Nice facilities, clean level grounds. Very hard pack gravel. Our only issue was on the weekends they tractor units in from storage for 'regulars' to use and the ones close to us looked more like homeless/vagrant trailers in serious need of a bath and cleaning. All HU's worked well, free cable, staff very helpful. We 'might' book our group here again as it is close to the rock, downtown, the Embarcadero and the bay, but we usually move around each year for a new area to see. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is very close to the beach, and easy to get there. We walked out of the campground across a tiny road on to the sand. The people in the main office are very nice and helpful. We walked down the small road to the embarcadero looked in a lot of quaint shops and had lunch. The spaces were comfortably spaced and separated by a 4ft. wall which made it feel a little more private. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Excellent location! Sites were packed in. Many families with very large groups of campers packed in their various rigs. Horrible smell of raw sewage at times due to sewage plant across the fence. The desk was very helpful. We stayed two nights in our motorhome. Lots of kids on bikes. Beach access across road. Beautiful surroundings looking toward the ocean. Very scenic. We would return in spite of the camp site. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed at this park many times over the years and it is always clean, the staff is always help full and courteous, the service is great. The park is easy to navigate even with our 37' 5th wheel. The access to the dog friendly beach and the Embarcadero is fantastic. We do nature and wildlife photography and there are many many beautiful targets. Hookups always working correctly. We will return many more times. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Morro Bay and Cayucos are very popular. Whale watching, otters, bird sanctuaries, low key to fine dining, kayaking, surfing, sandy beaches. Close to Montano De Oro, San Semion, rookeries, you name it all there.

It's all about location for this very nice park right by the dunes and ocean. Great for a morning walk along the beach and collecting some shells. With windows open you can hear the surf at night. All utilities worked well including excellent wifi and cable TV. Friendly staff and they will help park your trailer if needed. This may be handy because some of the sites are arranged like spokes on a wagon wheel and can be a little tight and tricky getting in. Several people used this service. Nice pull-throughs for larger rigs so be sure and tell them your rig size when reserving: and you should reserve as the park was nearly full both nights we were there. Nice laundry and bathrooms/showers were very clean but showers lack a shower curtain and floors get wet so bring an extra towel to stand on. Easy walk to the embarcadero where there are a host of shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this park for any length of stay. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Tried 2 seafood restaurants for dinner and I highly recommend Tognazzini's. Enjoy a visit to the natural history museum in the Morro Bay State Park. Also took a beautiful drive north on highway1 to see the elephant seals, an unbelievable sight.

We booked our stay pretty late and got stuck in the last row with a view of the dumpsters and an RV storage lot. The front cul-de-sac sites are for smaller RV's. Our 42' MH would not fit there. If passing through, and we loved the area and location of the park, we would stay again but only if we could get in the second row, facing Morro Rock. The park is directly across the street from state beaches - dog friendly left only. Nice bike path to the big rock and adjacent beach. Again, super location. Tips for other Campers:

Less than a mile to the harbor and shops. The bike path is great. Lots of places to eat. Shopping, Safeway and fast food, is up the hill a mile or so, difficult bike ride - drive. Don't miss eating at Taco Temple up the road a bit. Drive up Route 1 as far as you have time. As of April 4, 2018, it was closed (mudslide) a few feet beyond the Salmon Creek Falls trailhead. Fabulous views at that point and back a few miles. Skip Hearst Castle.

We stay at this park about a week every year. This year we had an electrical problem in our trailer. The park maintenance man diagnosed the problem quickly. He had the part we needed in stock, and the repair was done in 35 minutes. Very professional and courteous. Park is always clean. Dog run always well kept. Have stayed at other parks in Morro, but none compare to Morro Dunes. We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is our second stay at this RV park & we really enjoy it. Sites are fairly close but divided by wooden fences for privacy. The people who manage the park are friendly & helpful. We were even able to have an Amazon package delivered with no problem. The best part about the park is that it is right across a very small street from the dog-friendly beach and an easy walk into town. Our rate included a free day since we were there for 10. There are 3 separate laundry rooms and all are very clean. We already have our reservations for next Xmas! We camped at Morro Dunes RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is a large motor home park right next to the pacific coast. It's in an ugly industrial area with no view but you literally walk out the gate onto the beach next to Morro Rock.
