WARNING on electrical - This place is the worst place I have ever stayed. They have 1970s aluminum wiring and have it daisy chained. The voltage runs very low as low as 103 volt. If you have a good EMS it will shut down the power to your rig all day and night giving you spotty power at best. If you don't have a EMS then the power will run your rig but at this low voltage you will be burning up your appliances electronics. Learn more if you don't understand low voltage. We were unable to keep AC running do to the low voltage as well. They moved us up the line to keep me quiet but the voltage was just as bad. We talked to many others having the same problem as us. There maintenance supervisor told us to run our generator or just leave if we didn't like it. They have had this problem for a long time based off reading other reviews. Low voltage is one of the most dangerous and damaging things you can do to your RV. Lastly many of the other customers and ourselves over the weekend watched the maintenance supervisor hang out at the pool watching little kids and girls swimming. He is not acting as a life guard. It made us and the family next to us so uncomfortable we would not let our kids or there kids swim. We noticed other families that kept their kids back in camp. With all this said the management and owners have refused to contact us and deal with our concerns after many request. KOA corporate told us this is a individual owned park and they have no say so or power over them. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

We only did this as an overnight and it was a bit tight getting into the park as other reviewers have said but was able to get my 34 ft High cube fifth wheel in. Park was a bit dusty but a usual KOA experience friendly staff and clean restrooms did have a few what looked like permanent residence but overall an ok spot for the night. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Friendly staff. Sites are gravel and some not level. Easy pull thru sites with room for slideouts on both sides of RV. Fenced pet friendly area. Lots of mature pine trees offer shading. Landscaping appears to be ignored a bit. Park is older and it shows, but its functional and acceptable. Cable TV with limited channels. To many trees for satellite use. Entrance between large trees is a small challenge, but not impossible. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The entry is tight. Two huge pines, too beautiful to remove, make for a very narrow section barely wide enough for the RV. Overhanging branches are not currently an issue. Roads are hard packed dirt/gravel, as are the mostly level sites. Registration queue is fine and check in was efficient. Roads to sites are a bit bumpy and a little tight. Our site #32 looked to be one of the few that could handle a big rig plus tow without unhooking, and then just barely. The patio area is mostly dead grass with an immovable concrete picnic table. This is a holiday KOA but amenities for family seemed limited to a small pool and small playground. Satellite is hit or miss due to all the pine trees; we did manage to get it from our site. WiFi was terrible. It took 30 minutes to load the morning paper. The park is very quiet. There are some convenience items and RV supplies in the office building. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Motorhome.

The Wifi didn't work at all, as small of a park as it is and shows 5 antennas. Office said we were too far from the office. That says to me that the office is the only one they have hooked up. Cable TV didn't have a female connector and we didn't have one, so no Cable and no WiFi. I called to confirm that they had Big Rig sites. The fellow said' "oh yeah we have Big sites" however he didn't alert me that the entrance to the park was not very friendly! Checkout my photo. We have a Entegra 45' Motor Coach and they are taller than most Motor Homes and the top corners barely cleared the overhead. In all fairness once thru the entrance, getting to the site which was long enough for one night wasn't a problem. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There were low clouds over Mt Shasta which was a disappointment but we drove up there anyway (7,000' is as far as you can drive up but people were walking from there) Lake Siskiyou is a must! Beautiful

One of the worst KOAs we've ever stayed at (and we've been to dozens across the U.S.). The entrance road is so narrow that two motorhomes cannot fit on it at the same time. One will need to back up....and if they are both towing a vehicle, guess what? One needs to unhook. Yep, happened to us. Dump station and propane station located right next to the pool. Very dusty rutted roads. Lots of long-term occupants with all their 'stuff' strewn about and some very large dog pens encircling entire sites. Our site was dirt and old crushed gravel, not even close to level, and very very narrow pad between a large tree on one side and the utilities on the other. Ironically, there were two different cable TV cables sticking up out of the ground. Neither obviously worked, but thought I'd give it a shot. Our utilities/sewer were located right at the concrete picnic table for our neighbors. Not kidding, right there...and that picnic table was not going to move. Rained the next morning and it was quite the mess around camp. Brought the grand daughter to the old tiny 'playground' with very deep pea gravel next to the pool one day, and there was someone at the pool with a bobcat on a leash. Yes, a bobcat. Needless to say, there was no one else at the pool. Loud parties after midnight. Amenities are all old, tired and dirty. The 'basketball court' is a concrete pad with one basket on a pole that leans about 20 degrees. Lots of folks walking their dogs in the vacant tent sites and not picking up after them. Yuck. No trash pickup and the only dumpsters are right at the entrance, not close to anything except a few tent sites. WiFi was non-existent. I could list more negative aspects, but we are just looking forward to leaving. Corporate KOA needs to do a better annual 600-point inspection of this place. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Sisson Museum is great, as is the fish hatchery next to it. Mt Shasta Market nearby is tiny but carries a lot of eclectic stuff and has great service. Lake Siskiyou Trail for easy and beautiful hiking.

I was traveling to a job at a KOA here in Oregon. KOA gives vouchers for overnight stays at other KOAs enroute. Check-in was smooth. The park seemed to be on the edge of town but easy to get to. The entry seemed tight as was one lane and thru a tree covered lane. Honestly didn't get to take a close look at the facilities - tried to find a view of the mountain to snap to send to family. I hope to be able to spend more time enjoying the Shasta area. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

First time here but good place to stay. Nothing fancy but utilities worked fine, WiFi sketchy but AT&T worked well. Premium sites are best with large spaces, large patios, clear satellite views, and woodsy area. Quiet with occasional train horn in the distance and really dark at night. Roads are gravel as are sites. Main Street in town about 3 minutes away. Would stay again. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Motorhome.

We stayed there overnight on a stop in our 32' trailer. Gravel sites, may take some leveling. Bathrooms are older but clean. Don't forget to turn on the heater when you take a shower. Would stay here again. One way road at the entrance does get a little narrow, take you time going through. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

On arrival the desk clerk was fantastic. Friendly, helpful, funny. Even told us cheapest gas and groceries, which turned out to be true. Sites are a little close together but still adequate. Sites are gravel and level. Perfect location for access to hiking in the area. Only negative was the train whistles but they were infrequent. Gravel roads created dust when inconsiderate drivers went too fast through campground. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mount Shasta City KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This was our first time, and the Staff was very helpful, we had a nice large lot with a picnic table and a patio table with umbrella! The pool was out of Service, but we headed to the Lake and had a blast. Lots of amenities in town, we did not eat out at any restaurants as we had big Family cookout. We stayed 3 nights, visiting Mt Shasta and doing some whitewater rafting on the Klamath River. We had a great time! The kids played in the pool. WIFI worked well at our site. They had a small basketball court area, badminton/volleyball area and a playground that often had kids in it. We would definitely stay here again. Disappointed in this KOA. Campground has a lot of potential but really needs some money spent on the roads and sites....could be an excellent campground and great location. Had to choose between 50 amp or cable television with our full hookups, why not both options. Felt sorry for the tent campers, no hot water in bathrooms for the four days we were there. Only cold water in laundry too. Glad we had our own self contained unit or our stay would have been shortened. Staff were friendly but that was the only saving grace.
