We camped here for 2 nights free, and had to listen to a sales presentation. There are 3 (small) lakes around the park. One is stocked with catfish during the warm months, one is stocked with trout for winter/spring. Our site was #25, back-in next to the catfish lake. Most sites are full hook-up with 30 amp service. Only 27 sites are 50 amp. All campsites are first come, first serve, and the 50 amp sites go fast, and are placed sporadically throughout. At the time the catfish lake was closed off, as we were told it was drained and being refilled. Many people were catching trout, good size ones at that. One of the small lakes is just for looks, and no fishing is allowed in it. There are many activities scheduled monthly, a small general store, recreation room, bar, restaurant, laundry and restrooms. Our stay was mid-week, Tues, Wed night. The campsites were clean enough but some looked quite uneven. This is a membership only park, and they check applicants for Megan's-law violations for the safety of the children. Everyone was very friendly. No wood campfires but charcoal BBQ's are allowed (small ones provided at the campsites) and covered campfires with Duralogs (wax coated logs) are permitted. Wood fires are controlled located next to beach areas of the lakes for large parties or group fires. - slbenter

We have access to this park through ROD - Resorts of Distinction. The park is in the San Bernardino mountains and normally has 3 lakes which you can camp around. Most sites are back in and have full hookups. Lots of good walking, on site general store and restaurant. We try to stay here at least twice a year. Lots of fishermen catching trout. - AndiamoBrian
Sep 2016 - $1.00
We decided to become members of Resorts of Distinction and this was the first park we visited after joining. Once a member, there are no charges associated with camping--they list a $3 charge for cable TV hookups which are available in most of the park. Really nice "park model" cabins are available throughout the campgrounds for a charge of $49. We were there on a weekend and there were a number of scheduled activities both for adults and kids, excellent live music, a discounted buffet style dinner, and a DJ in the evening in the restaurant, which also features a full bar and an adult center with an adults only pool.
We found a beautiful grassy site on one of the two lakes, and enjoyed beautiful views of the mountains and the lake. There were a fair number of campers fishing in the lakes--we saw a few catfish and trout.
The area is resplendent with trees of every kind, willow, cottonwood, pine, oak, crepe myrtle. This campground is very park-like as opposed to seeming more natural and rural. There is a lot of cultivated grassy area, although only in a small percentage of the campsites. There is an Adult center, a Family Center, a General Store, a restaurant, a reception area and an adjacent grassy area where vendors set up their wares during music events. Participation was high at the music event, and the mood was very cheerful--something we don't always see at campgrounds. The campground has many installed wi-fi stations to provide free wi-fi throughout the park, which seems quite easy to access. Unfortunately due to recent fires in the area, the wi-fi was not working at all. We have access to Sprint, Verizon and ATT on our cell phones and tablet, however, there were a high percentage of areas where we could not get cell service at all. - Joy of Life!

Feb 2019 - $39.00
Nice park conveniently located only ~2 miles from major highways. There are 2 sections: paved/grassy FHU sites that are perfect for big rigs and a gravel area that is less costly and not nearly as nice. Not sure if those have FHU. 2 ponds on site with mud hens, ducks, and at least 1 goose. Lots of people fishing. 2 playgrounds (1 for 2-5 yr olds; another for older children). A small water park that was closed and a putt-putt golf course that looked nice. Good walking areas though limited due to size of the park. Very clean and, for the most part, friendly. No mail service. Reasonable camp store. Grass is cut on Tuesdays. Nice grassy space between every site. You need to be careful walking the dog after sunset. Many skunks and evidence of feral hogs. Also, lots of groundhogs but those don't present a concern. While we did not see any homeless people inside the park, they are definitely all over the wash area. We were warned several times to keep everything locked and stored at night. Again, we didn't have any issues. We would stay again. - FT Travelers3
Oct 2018 - $39.00
Large park with two separate camping loops. Lakeside loop is older (and slightly cheaper), with sites very close together on a dirt/gravel surface with tight, bumpy gravel interior roads. This loop is a mix of back-in and pull through (all "buddy" type) RV sites and tent camping sites. Cottonwood loop is for RVs only and spacious with FHU concrete sites and wide, paved interior roads that are easy to navigate (and is the best loop for big rigs). Sites here are a mix of back-in, pull through and pull ins. We stayed in site 216, a back-in which was VERY long and level. Park entrance is gated with code provided for after-hours access. Different code given for restrooms and laundry area. Newer bathhouse had two private handicapped bathrooms with toilet and shower (one out of order), a separate toilet area for each gender, and a separate shower area for each gender. All were cleaned daily. Laundry area had 5 washers and dryers ($1.00 per wash/dry) but required non-refundable tokens to use due to prior vandalism (and the park advises to keep everything locked up due to theft in the area). Park has a small splash pad (open Easter through Labor Day), 2 playgrounds, mini golf ($5 per person and the nicest we've ever seen), plus two stocked fishing lakes. Verizon service was good. No cable provided and only a handful of over the air channels. Park has a well-stocked store with gifts, snacks, ice, RV supplies and beer. They allow you to wash your RV at your site. Park does not allow mail/packages to be delivered. There are LOTS of ants here, so come prepared with spray and keep an eye on your jacks. Some noise from the nearby local airport and a train, but not bad. Free wifi offered but we didn't use. No restrictions on age of RVs here. No propane sold on site. Staff were friendly and made regular patrols through the campground. We loved this park and wouldn't hesitate to stay again! - RVIN 24-7
Oct 2018 - $40.00
This is a review for those looking to go here. First and foremost, let me state that I like this park and would return each and every time I go to this area. 1) Upon check in I was given a notice warning to secure everything when leaving the trailer/park for a period of time or during the overnight hours -to prevent theft. 2) There are four major animals that inhabit the area of the park, Wild pigs (scare easily, but tear up the grounds pretty good), Weasels, skunks and coyote's. We hear the coyotes a few mornings, and swathe results of visits from the pigs on two occasions during the week. 2) WIFI - the park does have free WIFI, BUT it is sketchy at best for an internet access. comes and goes constantly. 3) If you need to use the park shower facilities or the laundry, you MUST obtain non-refundable tokens from either the store or the entry kiosk during business hours.. That being said, the washers and dryers are actually pretty good. 4 tokens each ($1.00 each) - 4) ANTS !!!!!!!!!!!!! Be ready with your preferred method of preventing the little pests from entering your rig. I had stepped in/on an ant hill while connecting utilities and they really swarmed; I sprayed the crap out of them and the area and also put down some killer bait.. Had I known in advance I would have been better prepared and not had to go out and buy ant spray and bait. Okay, about the site itself, in the newer campground the sites are all concrete, close to level with a decent separation between sites. We had a pull thru (208) that was barely long enough for the trailer and truck, so I had to get creative with parking the truck at the site to keep it off the grass and out of the roadway. - Sergent Major

Mar 2009 - $20.00
Well maintained park operated by the County of San Bernardino. The sites are roomy, level and easy to access. Each site has a picnic table and metal fire ring. The Mojave River Forks name implies that a flowing river would be nearby. In fact, the Mojave River is not readily accessible to the campground and only flows seasonally. For watersports, Silverwood Lake is only a 10-minute vehicle ride away. The main activities featured at this park are hiking and equestrian trails. We made reservations ($5.00 fee) at www.co.san-bernardino.ca.us/parks/ and only had to show our reservation confirmation at the entrance gate. We camped at site #18 which did have a shade tree. A very quiet park and we would stay here again. - highlander92
Nov 2005 - $20.00
This park was nearly deserted when we camped here. There are a number of sites with full hookups and others (in a different section) without any. Each site has a table and a firepit, also a grill. There seemed to be a shade tree or two at each site, along with grassy areas. Sites are packed gravel and seemed ample for most rigs. The restrooms are older and fairly basic, but were well maintained. A quiet, peaceful place with lots of acreage on which to walk or ride bikes. This is a San Bernardino County park and the only payment method accepted when we visited was cash. There is an on-site host. Note that you must have proof of insurance on your rv, plus show the registration papers before you are allowed to register. We stayed here for two nights and would happily stay again. - rfarkle

Dec 2011 - $35.00
We stayed overnight during December. A number of locals were fishing in the lake in the afternoon. There was only one other party in the campground proper with us. We had a lake view with electric hookup but no water hookup. Other sites have both hookups but no view. We liked the place for a short stay, nothing to rave about, but quiet, clean, fenced off. I believe the electric box had a 50A receptacle (I only need 30A), but the fuses may have been 30A. If you need 50A just call to get the low-down. Overall, I would recommend the place for a stop-over. - TvE
Dec 2011 - $40.00
We could only give a 3 rating because there was NOT a dump station! The campground is nice and if you like birds: plenty! We were here for one night only. We don't fish, but apparently the fishing is good! - billandme
May 2006 - $24.00
This is a city of Hesperia municipal park, & the condition is about what one would expect for that. It's high desert, flat, open & a long way from luxurious. It's obviously under-funded & needs maintenance, but it's kept clean, well-run & quiet time was well enforced despite an annual "pow wow" being held there the weekend we were there. It's off a rural road, so there was very little road noise to disturb our sleep. It's certainly not a "destination" but, based on the reviews of the other places in the area, including a cousin I have who lives there, it seems the place of choice for an overnight or two if the opportunity presents. We would stay there again when in the area. The lake yielded 1 huge trout & several large catfish that we saw during our 3 days there. - gs2rt

Jun 2008 - $12.00
This park is small and not all that nice for the area it is in. The spaces are not nearly the size that the web site states. Our site was supposed to be 45' and it was only about 20. We have a 37' 5th wheel and cold not fit into any of the spots. There is not much shade. We left without staying. - R&S
Jun 2007 - $16.00
Okay, here is the 411 on this campground. First let me say the good. It was absolutely beautiful. The trees are huge. The air is clean. The camp host was the friendliest we have ever experienced. All of the sites are spread out, so it is nice and quiet. They allowed fires and they have bathrooms (no showers). In the actually town Green Valley which is about 1 mile from the campground, is a little lake. We rented a row boat and a paddle boat. They have a pay beach for swimming and picnics. The fishing there is great. They stocked it the day before we got there. Now the bad. We did not fit into our site #8. According to "Reserveamerica" we did, and our site was considered an RV site. Luckily they had 2 more sites to choose from. We tried site 24 and after 2 attempts decided to try site 25. No joke we tried 6 times. The camp host moved a wooden barrier for us and we finally made it in. I think we both have permanent sweat stains. This CG is not for anyone over 24 feet. According to the host, it was originally set up for tents only and now they let RV and TT in, but she said she has to turn people way because the internet is wrong on the site lengths. We would definitely recommend this campground, if you fit. - seeshell

Jan 2018 - $37.00
This was our first stay at this county park and we were not disappointed. Nicely kept facility with spacious sites and good hookups. Located east of the city of Yucaipa in an area of rolling hills, the views from within the park are very nice Only negative for us was that we were unable to get satellite reception for news and other programming due to the many trees that block satellite reception. There are a few open sites without trees where reception would be received but the park was full up when we were there for a two day family visit. We are not big TV people by any means but we do watch the morning and evening news when traveling so this was a negative for us. Spaces are asphalt as are the interior roads and the scenery is very nice all throughout the entire park. Family friendly and no doubt a great place of kids as there is fishing and hiking, etc. and other fun things for them to do. We would stay here again as this is the best bet in in the general area.................. - BankShot
Aug 2017 - $35.00
This is a county park, campground. There are separate areas for RV', tents, and day use. Very clean well maintained with lawns and many sites have shade This is an urban park but very quiet and does a great job of separating and blocking view of nearby housing while offering great views of wild lands and mountains Park staff are knowledgeable of their facility and friendly. The park is within a few blocks of all kind of businesses, stores and restaurants There is a senior discount during the week. - Old Detective

Sep 2016 - $4.00
Three big lakes for fishing (if you have a CA license); lots of full time residents; they also have room for tenters; FHU with good electrical voltage and water quality; no cable but Wifi reception was good. They have a HUGE dog park (used to be a baseball park, which is how it is still marked on their map). Nice playground, pool, hot tub. They have rec area (but pay pool tables), laundry room. They have a little café where they cook b'fast and lunch. There are nice walking trails behind the campground. - Kerch Family
May 2015 - $14.00
While this RV Park is off of the freeways 215 & 10 with concrete driveways, it is on a railway line and the trains come through quite often. So it is somewhat noisy which is why we kept our windows closed at night and if too warn run the A/C. The sites are back-in and most have concrete pads and (worn) picnic tables. No fire pits and no cable TV so if you want satellite pick a spot clear of the trees. The other sites are sand/dirt. They have 3 small lakes for walking around and for fishing. For amenities they have a pool & spa, shuffleboard, horseshoes, a cafe and game room for TV, reading, pool, and group parties. We would stay again as it is one of our membership parks, but we would not stay for an extended period. - Michael Kibler
Mar 2013 - $14.00
This is a private membership park. The rate cited is a Coast-to-Coast member rate. Our site was a fairly level cement pad, with a good-size gravel area next to it for parking the toad and placing the picnic table we snagged from another site. The pad was not long enough for our 41' rig, so we stuck out in the road a couple feet, but that didn't present a traffic problem. The interior roads are plenty wide for navigating a big rig. The trees can present a problem for a rooftop satellite dish on many sites, but there was plenty of room to set up a tripod-mounted dish and miss the trees. The site we were put in was almost on the road. Across the road were the busiest train tracks I have ever seen (or heard). It wasn't unusual for four trains an hour to go by. Fortunately, they blew their horns quite a way down the tracks from the park, but folks who are sensitive to train noise would not be happy. We were not able to get a site in an area further from the tracks, but that could be due to the fact that it was Easter weekend and park members had the park almost full. Very good Verizon 4G data service (18 Mbps) sometimes, 3G service others. Nice big laundry with newer machines. The bath/shower rooms that were in the laundry building were outstanding. Each shower was a private individual room, with a bench and dry place to dress. Park Wi-Fi was not available at our site. We will stop there again when going through the area. - Denali

Very nice park in the desert but close to all the city stuff. Large pool and hot tub! Stayed for a few weeks, even broke down here and was able to change injector out in my RV site. A lot of full timers in the back. You can Uber anywhere for fairly cheap. Would come again when we visit our friends in Adelanto. - Tim Thiemann

quiet, but spaces are very tight. Slide outs meet your neighbor. Too many section 8 residents bring down the park. No TV unless you stay a month. Good location, close to stores and restaurants. - Ted Cottingham

We stayed here several times in past years. This will be the last time. The park is over run with full time residents who have cable TV. No cable for short stay residents. Antenna reception is poor. No major network Channels. The spaces are gravel and narrow. - fourniner

May 2018 - $45.00
Fees: $45 a night plus $7.99 online reservation fee. Site 161. Water and electricity. This is a large park along the shores of Lake Perris reservoir. The reservoir allows motor boating and jet skis. There is a large beach for swimming with lifeguard stands. I suspect that during the summer months this place is packed. The campground is laid out like a large parking lot with 4 sites side by side in a section which is divided from the next section by a little green space. There other sets of sites directly across the roadway from your site. Each site has a worn concrete pad and a very worn picnic table and fire pit. We were here on a late April and early May weekday so the campground was largely empty and quiet. I would not want to be here at a busier time. You'd be able to shake your neighbors had from your camper. The bathrooms were basically clean but very worn out. They were cleaned every day and the staff does well with what they're given, but based on the fee, the state needs to upgrade the facilities. It is a very nice location, however. The reservoir is large and provides habitat for lots of wildlife including a great variety of birds. There are very nice trees around the park, many of which were unfamiliar to us. There is a native museum, but it is only open on Fridays and weekends. There are walking trails, and of course lots of water activities available including rentals at the marina. There is a nice hiking and biking trail that goes completely around the reservoir and once one leaves the main park area, the scenery turns to more native vegetation. There are lots of swallows, ravens, vultures and hawks to watch, as well as a variety of water fowl. We were told that there was a nesting eagle on the far side of the reservoir, but we never saw it. This is a nice place to camp on the off-season. - Walter48
May 2011 - $45.00
Lake Perris is a great park to use during the off season months as it is never overly crowded, and there are plenty of spaces to choose from, even if you don't have a reservation. All full hookup sites are right on top of each other, but dry campsites are spaced well and have lots of trees/brush between. Park staff are friendly and available. Restrooms were clean and stocked ( the park was only about 20% full). Boat rental is available though pricey. Bring your bikes as there is plenty of room to ride. Not sure what it's like here during the summer but will find out! If you like your privacy as we do, dry camping sites are for you. - LISAREAM
Jun 2010 - $45.00
We camped here on a really hot weekend in June. The temperature was over 90 degrees, but there was always a nice cool breeze and it was comfortable in the shade. The lake was nice, but since they are draining the dam 20%, you can only use the beach about 1 mile from the campground. On Thursday and Friday nights, we were basically the only campers in our section and it was very peaceful. We are registered with the State of CA as disabled and paid 1/2 price for our campsite. We visited the Orange Empire Railway on the weekend and it was a really nice experience with 2 train rides. The downside: I would not recommend camping here on a Saturday night. The majority of campers were nice family groups, but unfortunately a large gang of undesirables(about 30 people) pulled in at 11:00pm on Saturday and stayed up partying all night: loudly and honking their horn. Talked to the ranger the next day and he said we should have called 911 even though it was not an emergency. The ranger explained that calling 911 is how the system was intended to work to call for loud parties. The ranger was very apologetic for the disturbance. - mammothleslie
