This was a 2-night stay and we used it to make a day trip to San Francisco. It worked out well. The park is moderate size and we got a backin spot. They had 30 amp service which was plenty seeing how we were close to the coast. The roads were gravel/old asphalt, but we're well maintained. There was ample room to turn and back up. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable.

Of you're heading south with your rig, don't take Hey 1. Way too many tight turns and worse, in my opinion, than the northern stretch of Hwy 1. Just south of the RV Park is Hwy that is much wider and with fewer tight turns that will take you to Hwy 101. It is named Sir Francis Drake Pkwy. So much easier!!! We camped at Olema Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Love this park because it has a lot of trees and you feel like you're not in a private park. It's close to the quaint town of Pt. Reyes Station which has wonderful shops and restaurants. You're also close to the Ocean, Tomales Bay and Marin County and S.F. I have stayed here many times. This time was with our RV club. I like the fact that they strictly enforce the 10:00pm quiet time as the park fills up with a lot of group (including ours!) campers. The only thing that I dislike is the position of the hookups in the area for water & electric only. You have to share the pedestal with your neighbor so that you are parked very close and opposite each other if one of you pulls in facing forward (towards the rear of the site. Some sites have the pedestals that are positioned in the rear and you may need an extension hose or power cord so come prepared. They do have a honey wagon service which we used. I don't downgrade ratings due to WIFI or cell signal but their WIFI wasn't working and Verizon and ATT service is very weak. We camped at Olema Campground in a Motorhome.

I am torn about how to rate this park. It is in a beautiful wooded setting and the sites are nicely spaced. However, we were not told when we made our reservation that with the winter rains parts of the campground flood. Although our site was high enough to remain out of the water we became concerned that with the rains we might have a difficult time getting out. Heavy rains were expected for 5 days. We had reserved our site for 3 nights but decided to only stay 2. I went to tell the office we were leaving and that I understood there was no refund. They were nice enough to refund our 1 night anyway! If there is not a chance of continuous rain, I would highly recommend this campground. Most of the sites are water and electric only (30 amp) but for long stays they do have a truck to take your waste water (for $15). All sites are back-in but situated so that was easy. Our site was so long we could probably have fit another RV in it. There is a laundry & propane available. We camped at Olema Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

OLD. This word best describes this park. It had been 14 years sense our previous visit and nothing has changed. We stayed over Labor Day weekend and the place was packed. Not enough bathroom facilities. As far as clean restrooms, they tried to keep them clean but with hords of people it was not possible. The garbage dumpsters were overflowing so they used a backhoe to smash the garbage. Now a new use for a trash compactor. We had companion sites which worked well for us and family, however in my 30 plus years of motorhoming, I have newer had a pull in site. Enough is enough.... We camped at Olema Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed 5 nights here to visit the Point Reyes area as well as the Napa Valley wineries. This was a good location to get to the National Seashore which was spectacular. The campground was rustic, with gravel sites, but well kept. Our site was a pull-in (back out) which was good for our 43 ft. motorhome. It was pretty quiet - even when a group of about 90 third graders camp and camped there. We actually enjoyed watching them running around playing and they loved our golden retriever, Gus! We camped at Olema Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed 5 nights to see the Point Reyes area. We liked it well enough to plan on visiting again next January. As has been said, it floods in the winter, but the sites near the office were fine. Mainly the tent camping was flooded. It was a bit muddy, but the site we were in was fine. As has been said, the wifi internet gets overwhelmed in the evenings, but we had enough cell service to for a hotspot. We camped at Olema Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rate reflects a weekend stay. Our site was back-in, on one of the little cul-de-sacs towards the rear of the park. 30 amp electric and water were fine. Note that the main loop at the front of the park is the only part of the park with sewer connections; the rest of the RV spots are W/E only. There are also several tent-only areas. The sites on the main loop at the very front of the park appear quite tight, whereas those further around the loop are spaced more adequately and some have separating greenery. The W/E sites are in pairs with a common electric pedestal, so one is back-in, the other pull-in (back out). This is a basic campground, not a "resort", but well-kept. Appears very family friendly, based on the number of kids riding bikes around the campground. Although the campground was dry when we visited, it is low-lying with a stream at the rear of the park and I can well envision the flooding that others mention in their reviews. Three stars for value only because of the location, as there are not amenities to justify the relatively high price. We camped at Olema Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Olema, a blink-and-you-miss-it town, is a 1/4 mile walk south on Hwy 1 and the Farmhouse restaurant/bar is a good casual dining option. Up the road a couple miles north is Point Reyes Station. Check out Bovine Bakery with great muffins and sweet rolls and a next-door picnic area at which to enjoy them. Diesel/gasoline and a supermarket there, too. If you have a full day to hike, Point Reyes National Seashore Park has excellent trails through forest, past backpack campsites, to the coast.

We stayed for 4 nights. We received a friendly and polite welcome. Our site was on the main circle. We disconnected only so we could visit local attactions without our trailer. The trailer did not require leveling blocks. There were privacy shrubs between sites on the circle. Other sites, not on the main circle, appear more spacious, with trees and park-like. No cable available, and no air/antenna reception - a good time to read and enjoy nature. Our Verizon 4g signal was adequate - 2 bars, and we did not try their wifi. The cg is older but well kept. We camped at Olema Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

There are lots of hiking/nature opportunities nearby. E.g., Bear Valley trail. The Pt.Reyes lighthouse/national seashore, and Tomales bay area, are great for day trips. We recommend the Station House Cafe in Pt.Reyes and the Farm House restaurant in Olema. Its a 5 min walk to the tiny town of Olema, and a 2 mile drive to the town of Pt. Reyes Station where you will find more services, stores, restaurants and tourist attactions.

We love this campground, even though it is one of the higher priced places we've stayed. But you have to take into consideration where it is. The utilities are all up to date.
