The park is basically a parking lot, but with full hookups, proxmity to the city, and overlooking the ocean, it's hard to beat. Will come back!! We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Great RV park within a 20 minute drive to San Francisco, maybe 25 in traffic to Golden gate Park! One of the best RV parks to visit San Francisco with. Yes, the sites are very small. You're not setting up a campsite and a campfire. However you are very near the city, with a quiet Beach Town feel in Pacifica. You can also head south about 10 MI to the only Taco Bell with a waterfront view. Sites are clean, narrow, but mostly level, we only had to adjust our trailer a little bit to get it level. On many spots if you set your RV up correctly, you can get a small ocean view. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Urban and expensive. A parking lot with spaces so narrow, barely room for slideouts and no room for awnings. No picnic tables or anything at spaces. Next to the freeway, and under the SFO airport takeoff path, so plenty of noise. The ocean is out there somewhere, beyond the double chain-link fences and the eroding cliff edge, but on July 18th, invisible in the cold, fog and wind. "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco." No WIFI in the parking lot, only in the laundry room. Pool was not open when we were there. Cover for services rusted in the salt air, but seem to work OK. Not IN San Francisco, 13 miles south. Stay here if there is no other choice in the area. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is nothing more than a parking lot with hookups. The only plus is the convenience to San Francisco and that is what your paying for. Tight space is a great understatement, we could not only not open our awning... we couldn't open our tiny window awning! Pool was closed and we didn't try the hot tub! They advertise beautiful cliff views... well three rows of rusted chain link fence prevent any views because these cliffs are falling into the ocean. But visit SF... yes we did! We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

All of SF is 30 min away and Sausalito was just as close! The north side of the Golden Gate is better! And you must go to Moon bay and eat at Miramar Beach Restaurant! It was so good and the beach is beautiful

This park bills itself as a "resort," but at least for our stay it was not worth the additional resort fees (yes, they add on to the bill for the "resort" privilege). First, the views were awesome! And there aren't many other options close to SFO. That said, the pool was closed for our visit. The spa was closed for our visit. The playground was poorly maintained. The "resort" is a paved parking lot with spaces literally inches apart from each other so that you must walk under opposing slides (your slide and the person parked next to you) to get to utilities. No room for putting out camp chairs or awnings. This "resort" gets their money by packing us in. Ok - it's the city and we spent most of our time touring, not staying in the coach. But adding a "resort fee" under these circumstances seems like a gouge to me. We will bypass this park in the future and stay outside of town. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Good value by San Francisco standards, poor value otherwise. At over $100/night you are paying for exactly one thing. Location. There are only a few campgrounds with proximity to San Francisco and none with an oceanside view like this. Like others have mentioned, San Francisco RV resort is a large parking lot on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Unfortunately the cliff is collapsing into the sea. No less than 3 rows of rusty chain link fence separates the campers on the southern end from the ocean view. The innermost fence is temporary (sitting on cinderblocks) but looks like it has been there for years considering the rust. This location up on the cliff does offer sweeping views of the ocean and gets sweeping ocean breezes and salt-laden mists to match. If you stay here for any length of time be prepared for heavy corrosion on any exposed metal. Windy most of the time, sometimes severely. Sites are incredibly close together. There are less than 8 inches separating our slide out room from our neighbor and both of us are positioned our sites for maximum space. I could easily reach out my window and touch my neighbor's coach. Listening to the waves at night is nice. Most guests seem to stay for short periods. Lots of rental units and Europeans. Laundry facilities are very nice. Pool is small, but heated. WiFi is not included but available for additional purchase. Considering the already high rate of this place and its use of the word "resort" in its name, it should be included in the rate. It is $15/week for "standard" and it is very low speed. Barely enough for e-mail. On the plus side, AT&T signal is good so we were able to use our mobile hotspots. The campground is easy to reach off Highway 1, but a couple of the turns might be tight for big rigs. Overall, calling it a "resort" is a bit of a stretch but as long as you understand what you are getting it is not bad. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is the best bet for a decent RV resort close to S.F. As a result, the nightly rate is worth it. Unfortunately, the best sites within the resort are literally falling off into the ocean, making quite a few RV spots unusable. Grounds are clean and close walking along the beach cliff to shopping center. August is a great month to visit, as it is whale watching season in this area. The whales can be seen from the campground! Sites are extremely close together. Site hookups all work fine; however, for the pull-through sites, you must ensure RV is properly oriented in the site in order to use the correct set of hookups and have a little extra room on each side of neighbors. Be sure to pull RV as far forward as possible and use the forward-most connection post. Employee checking us in did not tell us this, so we ended up in tight quarters with our neighbors. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The nightly rate reflects the proximity to San Francisco and the ocean. Beach is not accessible due to land erosion. The entire park is asphalt with close proximity RV parking and common areas are worn. Grassy areas are sparse, weedy and full of gopher holes. Value is not commensurate with price. We stayed one night as we were in transit. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Way overpriced for an asphalt parking lot,but there is nothing else in this area. Pull thru sites are very close with your doors facing one another, although there are several sites that have a grass "dividers". If those sites a available, grab them! Free wif is available only next to the office or in the laundry room. You can pay around $5.00 a day to receive wifi at your site but at these prices it should be included with your stay. Sites along the cliff side are now closed due to erosion. Laundry fees are $2.50 per wash and $0.25 for 12 minuets or dry time. There is a nice pool and hot tub for guest use. If you arrive after 5pm there is a self check in with all the info you will need, just remember to register the next morning. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

I cannot stress this enough... but if you are staying at this location longer than a quick stay over, I would rethink your decision. The management is absolutely atrocious. I stayed at this location for several months so if you have reached this far, here is what you want to know... Pros: Location to the city- BART in Colma is not far and pretty convenient. Utilities are included. Employees (other than the manager) are all super sweet and helpful when the manager doesn't overrule them. Nice view if you don't mind walking. Animal/Grass area was convenient. Cons: In less than a month (and a hose down/wash every week) my brand new RV already had rust damage! Not worth that! Facilities are limited. NO ocean view or access, don't be confused by ancient photos online. Weather is hit or miss in Pacifica, not sunny 24/7 like SoCal. It is essentially a glorified parking lot; you will be CLOSE with your neighbors! And lastly (did I say this enough??) management is HORRIBLE! TLDR; There are better options for long term stays. Do your research! We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This place was the most expensive we've been to (tied with Malibu), but that's to be expected from San Francisco. The ocean has eroded away portions of the park, so a direct ocean view isn't easy to get. The location is beautiful when the fog isn't lingering, and you can walk or ride a bike to nearby grocery stores, restaurants, etc. The spaces were tight, so you cannot open an awning in most of them. Access to the city was very easy. The staff was friendly. The wifi "program" is goofy, and given their steep rates, it should be included rather than extra. We didn't use the pool/hot tub due to the colder weather. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Full of full timers. Reserved a "premium inland" waterfront site. Got there to find that we had a "premium inland" site but not waterfront. Was told the confusion was that we booked after normal business hours so the person we reserved with was not knowledgeable about the available sites. A lot of long term rentals in the best spots. Not worth the money.

The only thing this place has going for it (if you don't have the view) is the proximity to public transportation. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

OK - as others have said, its a parking lot that is very close to the city - so it's the best location you could ask for. Park itself had parking side by side sharing a utility lane. I have one big gripe - paying over $100 per night and they have the nerve to charge extra for WIFI. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park 5 days, to see the San Francisco area- very convenient - The park is basically a parking lot as other reviewer's have said. However, if you follow the gray fencing you'll find an opening to a wonderful path along the ocean, we sat out there in the morning and had our coffee watching the waves! We met very many nice people there and I would definitely stay here again. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.
