Literally, The best RV resort in California. All spaces are wide and offer adequate parking. Resort is clean and well appointed. Pool is great. Restrooms and showers are spotless. And the thing that no other park gets - wifi was incredible. We camped at Cava Robles in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This is the nicest rv park we've stayed in, which is saying a lot over 12 years! The park and the sites are well laid out. The roads are wide and paved. There are lots of amenities, enough so that "resort" really does describe it. There are fenced dog runs with thick grass, lots of walking paths, little dog park areas, and lovely desert landscaping. It is clean, quiet, an easy drive to downtown and has lovely views. My only quibble is that it should have more dumpsters for convenience (but they were never too full) . I would have liked one of the view spots with a big tree. It's so pleasant sitting outside. We would definitely return. We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Stayed at a Pull- Thru site. Large gravel, with cement pad with picnic table, no problem for slides, and during the week we had no neighbours. The kids pool is huge, with a small water park, was very nice and not crowded. Then came the weekend and the pool filled up Friday night, Sat. morning. The lap pool was great for swimming Mon.-Fri. but Sat. it was full of kids and families. We went early to swim. Very nice gym with treadmills and elliptical machines and weights. Not many people in the mornings. The office staff were very nice and very efficient. The Garmin GPS, is like it's in the Bermuda Triangle, sent me down the street before the correct turn, then tried to send me to the right on "Golden Hill" Rd. Very easy to find: Just off the 101 Ext.#231, go up the hill on Cal.#46, to Golden Hill Rd., turn left at the light and the gas station, and stay on Golden Hill road until it ends at Cava Robles. The staff say they have phoned several times about the bad GPS directions with no luck. Cava Robles has FHU and cable hook-ups(60 channels) with rear sewer and mid-ship water hook-ups, all power and FHUs worked as expected. Park is large and pull thru's are about 200 yds. from kids pool and about 100 yds. from adult lap pool and gym. Each has separate change/shower rooms. About 5 miles from town and just about a mile from Eberle Winery that's just up the hill on #46, great tour. No problem staying again in the future when we're ready for another wine tasting journey. We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enough winery tours to keep a person busy for a week. Eberle Winery is close and has a very good tour and nice patio to have a glass of wine. Tobin James winery is several miles past Eberle and is very popular, has great, free, wine tasting with very sociable bar tenders. Albertson's and WalMart are a few miles away. We rented a car from Enterprise and they were very good and picked me up and dropped me off as they say in the ad. Firestone Brew and Barrelhouse Brewery have great beer and Firestone Brew has great food. I tried the chef's cheeseburger, and it was very good, and has been suggested earlier in ratings.

This is a newer RV Resort in the Paso Robles area. Trees still need some growth, but its an outstanding location, the RV Resort is very well planned out and clean. Several club houses, pools jacuzzi, and dog parks. On the weekends they have live music and the Bistro and Bar are very good! I would highly recommend!! We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

Quite the grand entry at the end of Golden Hill road and a long winding road to the Welcome Center, the first of 4 pavilions throughout the Park. The registration queue is 3 lanes and level, with ample room to unhook. Staff were very friendly and efficient. There is a small gift shop here. I didn't notice any food or RV supplies. The roads are paved, wide and winding, adding to the wonderful layout of the Park. Backing in was no problem. Your RV is parked on a hard packed crushed rock/dirt surface. There is a long, large concrete patio with wood fire pit and picnic table. The cable TV has 62 channels but I sure wish it was digital. My T-Mobile signal was all over the place but could always make my calls. We had great success with the Internet. There are repeaters everywhere. There are 3 other pavilions scattered throughout the Park, each offering various amenities. There's a small playground, bocce ball courts, walking trail, a large infinity style pool, long lap pool, gym, laundry rooms, private restrooms with toilet sink and shower, kids water spray features, outdoor showers, event rooms, bistro, lounging areas, hot tubs, off leash dog areas with real grass.....the list goes on and on. Everything is new, clean and meticulously maintained. Just a really beautiful layout. Super quiet, about a half mile off Hwy 46. Being a new Park, the landscaping does not offer any real privacy or shade, but there are some large old oak trees at some of the sites. We were in an elite site, but all of the sites looked good to me. Not really sure what the difference is, maybe how deep the sites are. Our only complaint is the Sun RV reservation/help system. We found it very difficult to get someone on the phone that actually worked on site. We were trying to find out if we could check in early, and after several failed attempts were told we might want to send an email and they'd get back to us by the end of the day! We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

All day on the road. Arrive to a spotless hot tub, delicious dinner from the Bistro and a nice glass of wine. Took a walk around the grounds which are private and beautiful. Next morning hit the lap pool and exercise room, then a delicious breakfast by the pool. Cava Robles truly is a first class RV Resort in every sense of the word. Treat yourself. Overall Rating:

Stayed three nights in "Elite" site (there are three levels) with view of trees, which blocked other RVs down the hill. Bar near pool with limited menu; pool noise and a lot of foot traffic, but food was good (ate two breakfasts and one dinner there) and there is a small dining area next to the game room. There are a couple pools and hot tubs, three dog walking areas, a small store for essentials, the bar/food area by the main pool. Brochure indicates massage/spa, but we didn't schedule anything. Kids are definitely running wild here so drive carefully! Very quiet at night, lots of stars, nice breeze! Staff if friendly and helpful, facilities are clean and maintained; facility rents electric carts and we noticed carts filled with preteens and teens cutting through sites, getting some air off the berms between the different levels...not too much other craziness. We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

This is a Sun Community cg which means it's pricey. Truckers GPS took us down Buena Vista Dr which decreases to a tight, windy road that never gets to the entrance of Cava Robles. Their reservation confirmation does tell you how to get in but this needs to be foot stomped many times throughout the process. Buena Vista will eventually reconnect with Airport Rd then you get a second chance but omg on the first one! The resort is at the very end of Golden Hills. Take the right fork. Our site was very level and totally unobstructed as we looked out over the roof of other units across to a horse center. Hook-ups were easily accessible. Concrete pad with rocks and a few bushes. No grass at the sites. For a new resort, the roads are a little tight. We had a small challenge getting into ours and sunk into the loose sand across from our site. We observed several folks taking multiple tries to get into theirs as well. The resort has several pools and spas. The clubhouse pool has a water park area for the kids. The week we were there a wine tasting and corn hole tournament was hosted with live bands. There were about 10 wineries present. 2 nice dog parks and there is a decent path behind the office that winds down behind campsites. Very pleasant. We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.

I booked a site (unable to book a particular site online) via their website. When arriving I was informed by the clerk at the desk that I would have to be in site #1 (right at the entrance) as that first street of sites were for "online bookers". It was not explained to me at all how one reserves or requests a particular site though. The website is not clear on this matter either. The actual RV site was really big with lots of room for my 22ft Airstream and F150 truck with much more additional space for my two yellow Labradors to play on. Yellow gravel for the RV (nice and level) and a large concrete pad for outdoor furniture etc and an included fire pit and picnic table. Full hook ups including a huge cable TV selection. WiFi was great and had no trouble surfing the internet on my phone or laptop. Truly done an amazing job with the landscaping and layout of the camp sites. One feels as if you are out in the country despite the fact that civilization is just a mile or so away so everything (wine estates, downtown, stores) is conveniently close by. I was told on arrival that the camp site was fully booked (hence the reason I could only have site #1) and yet in the two days that I stayed here, there were literally dozens of unoccupied camp sites. It is beautifully quiet most of the time (although there always has to be one camper who has to play their music so that all the surrounding sites hear their music preference which is a bit annoying. Took at look at all the club houses and other facilities and was very impressed. Loved being able to take nice long walks with the dogs all over the site . There is a great open space off the entrance street where my dogs could run free without worrying any other dogs or people which was great (as they are farm dogs). Super clean, modern and really magnificent RV resort. I will definitely back. Sadly this Sun resort makes the other two locally look pretty basic so I know it will me my choice from now on. We camped at Cava Robles in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Literally Hundreds of wine estates to visit to do wine tastings and purchase. Great downtown food options as well as many vineyards that have restaurants . Definitely don't miss a visit to Pasolivo's Olive grove where you can buy freshly pressed extra virgin olive oils. Big Sur, Cambria, Hearst Castle are all nearby.

Overall Rating:

This is a large new RV park that opened about 6 months ago. It has some pretty views of the hills and live oak trees. It is very quiet in the park since it sits about a half mile or so from highway 46. The design of the park is drought tolerant, compacted dirt for the RV to park on and a concrete pad with a fire pit and table. There is no grass in the RV site at all. It does have a couple of dog park areas with grass and a playground area for kids. Hookup connections are at the back of the site. The spaces are large and you do not feel like you are on top of your neighbors. I like that the layout has curvy roads and not the typical square bisected with straight roads. Unfortunately there are a few things we did not like. First it is very expensive for what you get. The free WiFi is provided by Tengo Internet and is totally useless. A speed test showed the free WiFi connection tested at 0.5 Mbps and we were practically next to one of the access points. As soon as I logged onto the WiFi, it prompted for me to purchase a faster service at $15/week. But the "fast" service was only 10up/2 down. For the price paid we should have had usable WiFi speeds. The site also included several cable TV channels, but they are all analog channels, not a single digital channel and it is noticeable when watching TV. The picture is a bit blurry or fuzzy compared to digital TV. This is no fault of the park's, but AT&T signal was odd, it constantly fluctuated from 4 bars down to 1. I literally could hold my phone in my hand and just watch the bars move up and down, up and down. Phone calls and texting were fine but was not great for using data on the laptop. We camped at Cava Robles in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful new park that is truly a resort. It is owned by Sun Resort which owns 3 parks in Paso. This one when completed will be the largest. The buildings are beautiful and the main pool is huge. We where here during the fair and the park had lots of kids. It is nice to see families camping. The park has a strange layout and not sure what to make of it. The roads are asphalt; the RV pad is compacted dirt not our first choice but with a large cement pad for entertaining. Because of the dirt it was easy to track it into the coach. No grass with small plants between the very large sites. There are some beautiful oaks scattered around the park. We camped at Cava Robles in a Motorhome.
