What a beautiful rv park. We had a site with the fountains out our front window. Very clean bathrooms & shower. Did not use the laundry but it looked nice. Level sites. Has a nice dog wash. several dog potty areas . The river runs in the back of the park.. We would stay longer but oh man it was hot ... We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We always stay here going north or south. Great park. Friendly staff. Hope the park owners read this....This time noticed a derelict car on the street coming in that had been completely trashed. Also another car, no wheels or tires outside the fence on the NW by the river. Several grocery carts and signs of homeless. Not inclined the walk the river trail. A neighbor had 2 bikes stolen. Overall makes the park feel a little less top notch than in the past. Don't get me wrong, the park still has a top notch look inside the fence. Pool and clubhouse is great. Will absolutely still stay here again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

As others have stated, did not find a lot to do in Red Bluff. The drive to Lassen NP is really worth it with a nice loop drive. Ate at La Corona and it was excellent. Gets hot here so be prepared.

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second and third stay. A couple of nights passing through the area and 3 nights to visit nearby attractions. There was a slight improvement from our first visit. The park is a short drive from I-5 (Exit 649: Antelope Rd) along paved roads. The intersection of Antelope & East Ave is pitched making the turn interesting. And East Av is a rather narrow residential road. The sites are a mixture of back-ins along two sides and P/T's in the middle. There was an escort to the site. Extended stay sites seemed to be spread out between the back-ins and P/T's. The interior roads are paved. The site parking pads are concrete with a gentle transition from the road to the pad. The interior roads and turns are wide enough to negotiate without much problem. The P/T sites were long enough for coaches & their toads. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as most of the sites were level and flat. The site orientation allowed RV's to cast shade onto the patio side. Only a handful required blocking to get level. Saw one motorhome with its' wheels off the ground. Curbside garbage pickup. There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. The park brochure showed about 61 cable channels but made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi is through TengoInternet so you have to register an account to use it if you don't have one. Reception was good but occupancy was low. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about the reception. The designated fenced pet areas were on either side of the park. They had a decomposed granite surface. There was a bag dispenser and waste collection station in the fenced pet area for waste. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Beautiful RV Resort, easy check in and escorted to site as well as being offered help to back in to fountain site. We were only stopping for a day but got there early to enjoy the great pool and being July 4th they actually did a little fireworks for guests and handed out sparklers to join in. Only regret is we didn't get to enjoy it longer. Great place!! We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a very nice site. The ladies in the office changed my selected site to a better location because of freeway noise. Great location and the office staff were most helpful. This is a great overnight stop. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here three times on our way up or down Interstate 5. It is a very pleasant and clean RV park and a nice respite from being on the road. This last stay we noticed that some of the grass areas were brown and there was not quite the attention to detail we have seen in the past. Also, the people who work in the office and answer the phone need to improve their customer service. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Nearly perfect RV resort. Wide paved roads, level concrete sites with large patios, 2 clubhouses with gas fireplaces lit at night, pool and hot tub, pet spa. Option of pull-through sites or sites facing fountains or the Sacramento River. Fountain sites can be back in or pull-through so that motorhomes or fifth wheels or TTs can have a view. Daily trash pick- up all day. All for $49 on a holiday weekend. The only thing missing from my wish list would be a usable dog park. They have 2 "dog parks" which are tiny triangles of sand with no shade. Not usable in 100 degree sunshine or for anything other than a tiny dog. Walking along the river did not feel safe as it seemed that homeless people have set up tent campsites there. We had no concerns for security within the RV park though. This is our second stay at Durango and we would certainly return if we were in the area. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Red Bluff itself doesn't have much to offer but there is a new Walmart and the Raley's grocery store was fantastic. It's about one hour to Lassen Volcanic National Park and worth the drive. We also went to a nearby horse sanctuary which was amazing.

Overall Rating:

This is a very clean, spacious and comfortable RV park. Each site is a paved level site with grass on both sides of your rig. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff will guide you to your site. The park has very nice facilities for swimming, laundry, and a pet washing station. Several sites are next to the Sacramento river offering a water front view. The park is relatively new so the trees are young and not yet large enough to offer much shade. The park is adjacent to highway 5 making freeway access quite easy. Access to the park is gated and closed at night except for nightly residents with a pass code. This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed in due to it's staff, cleanliness, amenities, and spacious sites for large rigs. Satellite reception is great if you choose not to use site cable hook up. We had no WiFi issues. If you travel here during mid summer be prepared for very warm temperatures. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Friendly staff, large pull through sites with room to maneuver. River view sites. Large pool, hot tub, free wifi, major cable, two dog runs, gated entry. Strong Verizon signal. Tips for other Campers:

Wonderful Italian restaurant close by and they deliver. Great pasta and pizza. Shari's is nearby as well. There is a Discount grocery in the small strip mall nearby and the Antelope Veterinary is only a block away in case of emergencies. Bring your swimsuit. Wonderful pool and hot tub.

This place was something. A high end RV resort, in a backwater town on the I-5 in Northern California. We're more state park type campers, so this wasn't something we usually do, but we needed to overnight somewhere, and Durango was conveniently located. Outside of the campground is not much. Outside town is the Sacramento River valley. In town is gas stations, a discount grocery store (within walking distance of the campground), the only self-service car wash I've seen in recent years that only takes coins, and a few diners and pizza joints. Inside the campground is everything. Sites were concrete, level, surrounded by grass, with full hookups. Laundry, swimming, hot tub, community fire pit. Dog wash. Propane. Trash pickup at your site. Massages. Everything was clean and well maintained. It was very comfortable. People were friendly. The massage was nice. The only reason I give this a 9 instead of 10 is the noise. It's right off of both I-5 and a train crossing. I slept through everything, but it's something to take into account. We would definitely stay here again. We stayed here twice, first time for two nights. We were so impressed with the overall quality of the park/resort we stayed again on our way home. First visit we arrived late at night, just before they actually closed, but the night security guy was extremely helpful and got us booked in very quickly. The park/resort is very well laid out kind of getting away from the usual regimented rows we normally experience. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This was a bit of a surreal campground. It was right next to I-5. It was laid out in parallel pull-through sites on concrete. It looked like a more up-scale highway motel complete with a large club room with fireplace and pool. All in all a strange place that was far from my image of camping. If it were not for constant highway noise through the night, it might have been ok. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Tent Trailer.
