We pulled in during the CARR Fire while traveling from Oregon back to So Cal. It was a very clean property. The staff at the front desk were wonderful. The space we used was clean, long and well maintained. Plenty of resources: the pool and spa were wonderful, especially during the extreme heat. Showers were clean. The trash pick up was at 10:00 am and overall experience was wonderful. Would gladly stay again. Highly recommend. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is my regular stopover on the way north and south. Always friendly staff and you are escorted to your site. The sites are spacious and well maintaned. The restroom and showers are spotless. Though I-5 is close by, traffic noise is not an issue. I'll be back. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Next door to the park is a large grocery store. One restaurant is next door to the park. Others would be a bit of a hike.

Note that price listed includes taxes. Very clean park with clubhouse, pool, hot tub, pet area. No access to Sacramento River but some sites back up to it. Grocery store and restaurant just outside entrance. Easy access from I-5. Would recommend the West side of the park as it is further away from freeway. Many pull through sites available. Has gate that is closed at night (must use passcode given at registration or call for security if gate is closed). We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean, spacious and comfortable RV park. Each site is a paved level site with grass on both sides of your rig. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The staff will guide you to your site. The park has very nice facilities for swimming, laundry, and a pet washing station. Several sites are next to the Sacramento river offering a water front view. The park is relatively new so the trees are young and not yet large enough to offer much shade. The park is adjacent to highway 5 making freeway access quite easy. Access to the park is gated and closed at night except for nightly residents with a pass code. This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed in due to it's staff, cleanliness, amenities, and spacious sites for large rigs. Satellite reception is great if you choose not to use site cable hook up. We had no WiFi issues. If you travel here during mid summer be prepared for very warm temperatures. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

Durango has always been my 'must stay' park when travelling through this area (twice each year). The facility is really top notch. The area has a homeless population and seems a bit rough. Unfortunately, my vehicle was broken into. It is assumed by someone from outside the park during my recent stay, (June 30-July 1). $850 worth of personal items were taken along with passport and other documents. The document bag was hung on the fence the next morning, I had already opted to stay elsewhere. I am very fond of this facility, however, more security is in order. I wasn't offered a refund. I think they can do better. You are on your own if you stay here. I doubt I will return. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We have stayed in this park many times since it was first opened. During our recent stay, we were very surprised to see amount of weeds growing everywhere. It is a shame, because this park used to be so lovely.

I am against the use of poisonous chemicals to control weeds, but there are many people who could use the money if the owners hired them to pull the weeds. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful rv campground. The cable tv connection was iffy but they had an outdoor do-it-yourself doggie bathing center. Located behind a strip mall anchored by a discount super market.

Two rows away was a fenced off-leash dog area but good only if dog larger than a chihuahua. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

There a lot of RV parks in surrounding area but this one is the star!! Large level pull thru sites. Best cable tv I have in any RV park - with lots of channels - loved CSN Bay Area so we could watch the Giants. WiFi was very fast. The facilities are large and spotless. You will not be disappointed here! We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This was a very nice park but did fall short in a couple of areas. To get a 10 from me a private shower is a must, this place has shower stalls in the bathroom that were clean, but not private like some of the best parks we've rated. Secondly, the brochure shows ping pong as an amenity. We were able to get a new un-cracked ball at the counter but the paddles were torn up and should be thrown in the trash. The table could also use some attention. For the money spent here, they should strive for excellence. The internet was excellent; the sites have hookups on either side to enable you to pull or back in. Curbside trash service and propane pickup and filling is available. Fires are lit until 10pm and are cozy. They advertised coffee available until 10pm in the rec area but when we went back later in the evening (7pm) the coffee was all put away. The park sits on the Sacramento River but is fenced with a locked gate in back. To access the river you have to walk around the outside of the park. Because of the proximity to I-5 I suggest getting a site on the west side of the park. There was some train whistles now and then but not bad. This park is conveniently located next to a Sharis restaurant and a grocery store as well as other places within easy walking distance. We would return here and hope they pay a little more attention to detail so we could give a 9. No discounts are available if you reside in a riverside site. This is a great park with great amenities. At this park beside the Sacramento River you will find large pull-through sites with a concrete pad, grass between sites, a table, and full services. Coffee is served each morning in the clubhouse where you can watch tv, play pool, use the gym, soak in the spa, and read the paper. Nearby you can give your dog a bath at the specially-designed dog wash. The only drawback this time was the wind that was blowing from I-5. This made the park noisier than usual. We will certainly stay here again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this park. We stopped for one night. Easy to get in and out. Nice check-in. We had a back-in fountain site. Our six-year-old loved the frogs. Plenty of room to back rig in. Site had room for slides and still have a patio. Freeway noise was masked by fountains. We would stay here again if traveling through. Very hot in summer, but a nice pool. This campground is impeccible!!! Family friendly! Dog Friendly!! Two dog areas for pups to roam. It is close to the highway, but is a huge park, so request a site on the west side of the campground if that bothers you. The highway in no way interfered with our stay. There was not one single motorhome or trailer that had to use blocks to level...sites were all level-- Paved with grass along both sides of each site. They request that you put your trash at the curb as they pick it up each morning at 10AM...that is really a nice touch. There is a large living area with a fireplace that they light each AM. In addition, there are two other large outdoor fire pits that they light each evening...one near the pool, the other overlooks the river. Great place to relax in the evening. We could not believe all there was to offer...lap pool, hot tub, spa (yes you can get a massage), work out room, basketball court, bouche ball court, tetherball, a dog grooming area with a real dog bath tub at waist level, shampoo, etc., available, dryer for the pooch too (cost $5). It was an amazing and very, very clean place. Lassen Volcanic National Forest was 55 minutes away. Great for a day trip. There is even an outlet mall in Red Bluff. We loved this park...and the extra for the sites on the river were worth it!!! The park is new, so the trees are only a couple years old and do not provide much shade at this time, but that's why we have awnings, right? We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This was a great RV park to stay at on our trip up to Oregon. If this park was located a few miles away from the freeway, we would drive up from Southern California just to stay there. It's was very clean, restrooms, pool and sites! This is not a rustic campground. It's very nicely groomed grass and cement pad sites. The pool was great!! The only thing holding me back from giving this park a 10 is because it's right next to the 5 freeway. So pick sites to the far west of the park together as far away from the freeway as you can. It really didn't bother me to bad, but there is still freeway noise. But besides that it's a great park! Will stay there again next Oregon trip. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
