The resort is located in Red Bluff which is 51 miles from the Lassen National Park entrance. All the sites are concrete and level with plenty of space between your neighbor. We stayed at a river site which has a great view of the Sacramento River behind a fence. The resort is very clean and the sites were level. Camp store is well stocked and the pool and spa are great to beat the heat or relax. Unfortunately, are next to the I-5 and the sound of vehicles will not go unnoticed. We stayed 2 nights in July as a stopover to visit Lassen National Park. We enjoy our stay very much. The only thing I would change is picking a site away from the freeway noise. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall, a good resort for an overnight stop. Very clean facility. Pull-through spaces were easy to navigate and flat. Resort seems to be maintained well. Power post was conveniently located and everything worked as expected. Pool area in good condition and is highly recommended to use in the hot Red Bluff weather. Young man at front desk was very helpful. However, a lady at the front desk seemed to be less than enthusiastic about working there, both when speaking to her on the phone to make the reservation, as well as when we arrived for check-in. She made some comments that were, to me, offensive. Nonetheless, the park is fine for an overnight stay. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed one night in 45' motor home,in a pull thu was nice and spacious roads are nice and wide easy to nav.this park has a lot of permanent residents. It sits right along the river which is nice.the GPS wants to send-you thu the grocery store parking lot which is little inconvenient but will get you there.and the staff will take you to your site so that is very nice We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed at Durango for a group outing. We had the sites overlooking the fountain area. Upon arrival someone was in our site and we had to wait 2 1/2 hrs to get in our site because they were in Redding. We later found out that they were not told by the office that they needed to move to another site because of the incoming group. The next day, management/office decide to do maintenance on the pool and closed the pool on the hottest day of the year (108 degrees). Don't get me wrong, the park is beautiful but the office/management is inept. They don't know how to treat their guests. As for the park, roads are paved, sites concrete and well manicured, 20, 30, 50 amp at each site, water and sewer. At the fountain sites you can back in or nose in as hook ups are on both sides. Freeway noise can be very loud if near freeway or light further in the park. All in all, very nice park, management just needs to get their act together. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very nice newer facility. Check in was easy, though the desk staff were not that friendly. Large concrete site, with easy access. Pool and spa as well as meeting hall are kept very clean. Great stopover place to spend a couple days and rest. Would stay here again. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Burrito Bandito has decent food at a good price. A local chain, with the same concept of Chipotle but all toppings are included in price and not an add on price.

On our way to Alaska, we stayed at Durango, as we often do when heading to the Pacific Northwest. The park is impeccably clean, and a golf cart host guides you to your spot. There are pull thrus and back-ins alike, and for a premium, a view of the mighty Sacramento River. The only problem I see is the freeway is, as is often the case, dreadfully close to the RV resort. The picnic tables need improvement as well, although we landed here after some heavy winter and spring rains. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a great location. Very easy to get to and the roads are wide. They escort you to your site and help you set up, however, its not really needed, since its very easy to get around. The site was long enough that we could have left the tow car attached. Everything was clean and well maintained. The pool and other amenities are very nice. Staff is helpful, even will let you wash your rig if you want. The only draw back is there are no good walking paths/locations. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is our park of choice when traveling through the area. This was our fourth stay. Only change from our last visit was the price went up a little but still a nice park. The park is a short drive from I-5 (Exit 649: Antelope Rd) along paved roads. The intersection of Antelope & East Ave is pitched making the turn interesting. And East Av is a rather narrow residential road. There was an escort to the site. The sites are a mixture of back-ins along two sides and P/T's in the middle. Extended stay sites seemed to be spread out between the back-ins and P/T's. The interior roads are paved. The site parking pads are concrete with a gentle transition from the road to the pad. The interior roads and turns are wide enough to negotiate without much problem. The P/T sites were long enough for coaches & their toads. This park understands the simple concept of the importance of a flat, level site as most of the sites were level and flat. The site orientation allowed RV's to cast shade onto the patio side. Only a handful required blocking to get level. On a previous stay saw one motorhome with its' wheels off the ground. Distance establishes privacy between the sites along with manicured grass lawns. They have full hook ups - water, electricity (50/30/20 AMP), & sewer. The utility connections were easily accessed. The sewer connection was at the ground so it was easy to establish a downhill flow. There was an outside table. No fire pits as wood burning is not permitted since the park is located in the city limits but there were natural gas fire pits at common areas around the park. Curbside garbage pickup. There are a few trees scattered around the park so satellite reception would be dependent upon site assignment and your dish configuration. The park brochure showed about 61 cable channels but made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The clubhouse, pool & hot tub amenities and park's appearance made this a pleasant stop over. Domino's delivered. Really no bad sites. We prefer the P/T's for short stays but would consider a back-in (#2-13 along the southern edge but there might be some satellite obstruction, 76-96 along the 3 fountain ponds or 70-75 & 97-101 along the river) for an extended stay. There was a mobile detailing service available to wash your RV on a previous stay.

I have been here many times and alway gave 5 stars, but this time, we arrived and were with three other RVs as a group. Two rigs had already arrived and were in space 91 and 93 the assigned me space 92 right between the others just as we had requested. I was escorted to my space and some one was already in my space. So I was told I had to take 95. We still had a great time, but something should have been done to Rectify the Situation.
So this trip the park only gets 4 stars. Everything else was great. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Fountain is on timer, came on in the morning, slightly startling until we realized what the noise was. Yes, you can hear the freeway noise, but it is not terrible. Closest to the freeway are the long term sites. Clean and well kept facility. Power pedestal on BOTH sides of site. Allows back in or pull in! The surrounding area is not the best, but nothing to worry about if cautious. Site 86 has the path to the pool next to it. If a concern, park with your entry door/awning on the other side. We arrived late and left early...If arriving late, ask how to get in. The gate is locked, you have to use a call box, but one sign said no late arrivals. Would use the facility again. The park brochure showed about 61 cable channels but made no mention of broadcast channels. Didn't try to get any broadcast channels. The park provided WiFi is through TengoInternet so you have to register an account to use it if you don't have one. Reception was good but occupancy was low. Our Verizon WiFi hotspot worked well. Didn't try the NET10 phone so don't know about the reception. The designated fenced pet areas were on either side of the park. They had a decomposed granite surface. There was a bag dispenser and waste collection station in the fenced pet area for waste. There was sufficient area to walk dogs along the park roads. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We found the river front lots to be sloped to the point it was impossible to level the coach without the wheels leaving the ground by 4"...the view of the river was nice if you didn't mind sharing the river with the noise and view of the freeway. Overall the park was clean and green with grass and trees. Due to the location being right on the freeway we felt it was overpriced. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful, spacious RV park. I would have scored it higher but for the fact that I didn't get the river view site I had requested, having made the reservation five months earlier. I know that they won't always guaranty sites, but what bothered me is the site I wanted, which I asked for again at check-in, sat vacant for the three nights we were there. Instead we got a site right next to the restroom with a patio area that everyone cut through to see the river. The WiFi, during our stay, was horrible, and we had to use our Verizon Jetpack the entire time. Otherwise, a wonderful RV park with great facilities, a beautiful pool, lovely fountains, spacious roads, long concrete level sites, good utilities, very good cable, satellite reception. We have stayed in this park many times since it was first opened. During our recent stay, we were very surprised to see amount of weeds growing everywhere. It is a shame, because this park used to be so lovely.

I am against the use of poisonous chemicals to control weeds, but there are many people who could use the money if the owners hired them to pull the weeds. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Stayed 2 nts in pull-thru spot; 38 ft MH with tow. Have stayed several times before. Best cable channel list (63 channels) ANYWHERE!. Security gates. Picnic table and grass at site. Nice pool/spa/Clubhouse. Good WiFi.
Friendly staff. Interior landscaping needs attention - weeds growing in
most spaces. Noise from I-5 is not relaxing to sit outside, but slept fine. We camped at Durango RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Red Bluff is a nice, relaxing litte town. Much less traffic than in Redding, 30 miles north. April is good month to visit before it gets too hot.
Grocery store, strip mall, Denny's and Sharon's restaurants just outside park. Don't miss Luigi's restaurant. Great food, large portions, very reasonably priced. Outlet mall in Anderson, a few miles north. Endless shopping in Redding. Rolling Hills Casino about 14 miles south on I-5.
