12 RV Parks near Redcrest, California
Sep 2018 - $28.00
Nice quiet park very well located near the fun town of Ferndale. We realized later we could have dry camped for $12.00. - pwgfalcon
Apr 2018 - $28.00
No frills campground next to the fairgrounds. $28 for a night is a deal. Since I was there for only one night they allowed me to park on the asphalt. The campground is grass in need of cutting. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's a bit of a drive off of US 101 but worth the drive for the price. Dump is inside the fence behind the first building. - jnateg
Nov 2017 - $28.00
This is a typical Fairgrounds Rv Park --- just a grassy area with water and power stickups. Roads and site are ill defined. The bathrooms are clean enough and there was lots of hot water. There is no laundry or amenities. I think this park would be a mud pit in the rain. We actually set up in on the asphalt parking area next to the campground and hooked into the nearest water and power. We had the camping best spot OUT of the Rv park. Downtown Ferndale is beautiful and walking distance away. T-Mobile data worked great so we never tried the park's wifi. - whizbang
Jan 2019 - $55.00
This is a very nice and quiet RV park. Park is very clean and there is a river in close proximity that helps block out road noise. Very nice and friendly owners, warm greeting and hassle free check in. AT&T 2 bars, Verizon 3 bars at 4G. We had a 39 foot motorhome and small tow vehicle that fit in a pull thru site. Nice grassy area for our dogs. Hookups are at back of site, but not too far away. Overall a nice KOA and friendly staff. - JeffG
Dec 2018 - $40.00
This park seems to have more room between sites than most KOA's I've stayed at. The CG is old but the the up keep has been good. Roads: paved and narrow so it's easy to trail your rear wheels over the grass or into somebodys rig on the corner sites. Sites gravel and not all that level and very narrow. Hook ups are at the rear of the sites so be sure and take that into consideration when setting up so your hoses and cords can reach the hook ups. Bathrooms and showers were spotless. Showers have great hot water and good pressure. The only issue I had with the showers is that the shower heads are low and might be an issue for folks who are taller than me. (about 90 % of the population) Verizion phone and Mifi worked well and they have their own wifi. The amount of free access is somewhat limited but enough to take care of most buisness and if you run over the limit you can buy more time at very reasonabl rates. Security seemed pretty good and we had no problems. The only discounts they give is for the KOA card and military. We've stayed at a numbe of parks in the area at this time of year and have found that this is the nicest one that's open. We will probably stay here again when we're in the area. - pumper9x9
May 2018 - $89.00
The staff at check-in and at the activities were very friendly and helpful. The park was very clean and well-maintained. The restrooms in the rear of the park were among the cleanest I've seen at an RV park. The bingo game and ice cream social were fun and free. There wasn't as much for kids to do at this KOA but the kids had fun at the river along the park. I wish the sites had more room or barriers between them but despite being a packed Memorial Day weekend, the crowds were quiet and respectful of the quiet hours. The sites appeared to all be very level. No fire pits were available although they let you bring your own. I had to park sideways to make space for my truck and 32' trailer. This park has easy access off of Highway 101. If the park is full and you have a larger rig, you may have problems parking in the main large pull-through lot without running over the grass and having to back in to correct it. - airtime247
