Overall Rating:

This place is advertised as a "finest resort", but to my personal judgement, it does not look or feel like a resort. Otherwise, it is OK to stay there. Lots are quite small, pool and hot tub are clean, there is a basic gym and recreation room. I was cautious not to leave any belongings outside or unlocked, as there were no gates or any kind of security, and the number of signs, such as "... park on your own risk,... management is not responsible for theft...", etc. was suspiciously overwhelming. I did not use WiFi, but my Verizon hotspot was good. They have cable TV, but quality of it was not to my satisfaction. In short, I will be looking for another park next time. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park was very clean and well organized. The staff were very friendly. The nearby traffic was quite loud, but it was a steady, white noise and didn't really bother us. The only problem was a severed TV cable at our site, but there were lots of air channels, and the manager was quite apologetic. We would return to this park if we visited San Diego again. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The roads are very narrow, but paved. We had a back in and lucky there were no cars across the narrow street, as we needed all the room we could get. The staff was willing to answer questions, but no much for volunteering additional information. One neat thing, when we arrived we were met at the gate with our map and told to get settled and than come register---a different approach than most parks. Wifi did not work at site, but did work in the office. The sewer had a slight uphill and no threaded connection, just set yours on top and find a large rock to hold it. The park is located very close to I 5 and had some noise, but made it very convenient to go see the local sites of the city. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We used to stay in this park every year when we came to the west coast. Every year it gets worse, and after this visit we have decided not to return. Making a reservation is fine, and the reception procedure is acceptable. From there, it goes downhill. There are residents living there with the most amazing junk, not in a good way, around their motor homes. This year there was actually a tear drop trailer with a tent behind it as well as a portable building attached to the trailer! We did not use the pool or hot tub, which we had enjoyed in the past, because they were not clean. The last day of our stay, they did look a little better. The laundry area is large and fairly clean, with the exception of the double laundry sink, which was in an abominable state. I can't imagine why they have a two hour break between check out and check in. As far as I could tell, there was no maintenance done between guests leaving and guests arriving. The barbecue grill had trash in it, and the picnic table looked as if it had not had dusting, sweeping, or cleaning in years. I noticed these problems in a number of sites. Also, be aware that the close proximity of a major highway as well as train tracks takes away from a relaxed visit. We do not plan to return. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

This place is a dump! Most of the park has long time residents in older RVs and junk all around their units. Website says 6 month stay max, but clearly not for everyone. The train is behind you and I-5 in front and they are building a track for the trolley, so noisy! Very difficult to get to from interstate and carries you through an industrial area. Price is WAY too expensive for this so-called resort (even with Passport America and off season). The only good thing is it's in San Diego. Sites are very close. Was only a foot from person behind me. The young girls in office are nice. Older lady, not so much! We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Worst campground we have ever stayed in. Rude staff. Act like customers are an inconvenience, not like they are their business.

Very narrow roads. Hard to maneuver. Very noisy. Highway and train are right beside campground. Dog walk is in the weeds next to ditch with "Beware of snakes" sign. The ditch flooded up into park. No one helped to clean campsites. We had to borrow shovels to clean out mud. Rules are only enforced for some, not all. NEVER would I stay again. My recent stay was average. Park is clean. Staff is friendly. My only complaint would be sites are very small. No on site BBQ's and way to expensive. I had to find a place in a hurry and should have done my home work. Don't think I would stay at this park again. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Make sure you have directions to campground because it's hard to find. PPA was only good for 2 of 4 nights. Very tight, but level sites. Train & I-5 noise. Nice pool & spa. Lots of long terms. Doesn't deserve resort name. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Close to San Diego tours of city, Balboa Park and Carrier Midway. It's California so expensive, lots of traffic and drivers that don't give you an inch.

If you like freeway noise on one side of a park and train noise on the other than this park is for you! Sites are narrow and the freeway noise is awful! Train not so bad since they are fast Amtrak trains, not a lot of whistle blowing. Laundry room was clean but had to purchase a card to operate the machines. $5.00 deposit was refunded when card was returned. Park is located in a canyon with a lovely name, Rose Canyon, but this spot is not lovely. we left after 4 nights and moved to another park in the area that was cheaper and a much better environment. We booked for a month and regretted it the entire time. Dog run is next to drainage / stream which is posted "beware of snakes", so dont let your dog loose. The same area is riddled with poison oak, so again, dont let your dog loose. Lots of dirt, pads are concrete, street is asphalt. Large percentage of full time residents with large amounts of "stuff" outside. Think sanford and son. We have picked up 2 grocery bags of droppings, as the park and owners of the dogs dont clean up after themselves. This park is way over priced. Overall Rating:

- Poor customer service -

We are unable to stay here because of the POOR HANDICAP access and wrongful claim of providing WIFI. Managers and those in charge sometimes do not work during weekdays. We asked to be refunded, but was told that there was nothing they could do for a handicapped, tight-budget individual.

- No refunds -

You will not get a refund for time you are not able to stay in the campground. They are not considerate of their customers.

- Noise -

You get what you sign up for here. Visit the campground before you book, because the noise level is awful.

- Poor handicap access -

- *NO WIFI* -

It does not work often and is VERY slow if it does. These are actually the staffs' word! False advertising plain and simple.

- No extra parking inside campground -

Your guests may leave their car on the side of the highway, though.

- Tight turns -

Don't bother bringing your large camper here. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Motorhome.

If you want to do things in San Diego or La Jolla, this is a great spot to land. Rate reflects weekly stay. Our greeting upon arrival was warm and friendly. The sites are full hookup, but not large. The pool, which is heated, the hot tub, and the bathrooms and showers were very clean. This is a city campground, with a highway and train nearby. The wi-fi was slow and patchy. We would stay here again. We camped at Santa Fe Park RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
