We were only here for one night and didn't pay that much attention to the place, as we discovered we had a problem with our engine and were on the phone trying to figure that out. What I do remember is that we took a back-in and our 40' Class A could barely fit in that spot and we had no place to park our car once we put our slides out. The pull throughs would have worked. But sites were narrow, and the aisles were narrow. Since it wasn't full it wasn't that bad. Getting out was a bit tight too with the boulders around as decor. Satellite friendly, nice office, small picnic table and hook ups in the back. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We only stayed 2 nights but would stay here again if in the area. Wifi is best near clubhouse and office. Trash is picked up daily; all you do is put the trash bag in front of site by 9 AM. The owners were nice and when there was a mistake with our assigned site he came quickly and resolved the problem even though it was after hours. There was concrete pad for parking your car next to the motorhome. There are other amenities at the RV park but we did not use any except the laundry facilities. Propane is available. Just know it's quite a mountainous drive to reach this area--up and down. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed here while visiting the Joshua Tree National park. It was a convenient location. The staff was very good and helpful. The park had several longer term residences. They have back ins and pull throughs, the roads are narrow so getting into either is tight. The site widths are good, so this helps make it easier. You have room to park a tow vehicle beside your rig and still have "living" room. All the services are at the rear but all worked fine. One negative is the sites could use some weeding around the services. It is with in walking distance to a golf course. It served us well for what we needed. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is easy to access, check in was quick and the roads to the site are tight but manageable for our 40 foot class A. The site is nothing special. Gravel patch pull-throughs between cabins and back in spaces along the wall. Hook ups are in the back of the site, 50 amp electric and the sewer worked well, water pressure was low. My gauge read 35 and it was noticeable. Sites are very close side by side. My neighbor angled his fifth wheel (probably to fit better in the space) and needed to park his truck tight to my slide outs. There is a small paved patio and picnic table at each site. Community room is spacious, pool and hot tub looked good. Didn't try either, spend most our time hiking in Joshua Tree NP. This would be a good place for a group camping or caravan experience. The common areas were clean and the community room is a large place to gather. There is a smaller game room too. Propane is available with a break the bank price. No internet outside the office area. Three bar AT&T. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

This was my last spot on my way from Washington to Arizona, and I wish I had kept going. Check-in was painfully slow, and this place looks like an aging mobile home park. The pull-thru spots are at the back in what looks like an old, run-down parking lot. There are no shade trees at any of the pull-thru sites, which are gravel with a blacktop patio and very small picnic table. The hook-ups are inconveniently located at the very back of the site, which was not long enough to keep my towed vehicle hooked up. You are told up front that there is only WiFi at the office and game room. The view from my site was of the old modular "cabins" so I closed all my shades. There is no pet area or garbage can nearby. My neighbor told me to keep my dog out of the weeds as she had to pull numerous stickers from her dog's paws. Upon check-in you receive a warning to make sure the circuit breaker is off when inserting and removing your electrical plug as arcing can occur damaging both your RV and their outlet. I also did not receive a receipt as to how much I paid when I checked in. I will not return. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Transient sites are in a long row down an unshaded parking lot, with hookups at each parking space. Sites are fairly level. Very unaesthetic, although the front part of the park for longer term residents is quite pretty. Good indoor pool with adequately clean shower and changing rooms. The dog walk is very distant at the far back of the property and is simply a sandy patch. If no one is using the horse shoes and picnic area near the pool, that is a good, small dog exercise area. The site is conveniently near one of the entrances to Joshua Tree National Park. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Fees: $43 a night plus $8.60 tax. Site 13. 10% discount with AAA or Good Sam on pre-tax total. Full hookups This is a pleasant oasis in the California desert. The sites have some shade and full hook-ups. The wifi operates only in a couple of the buildings. There are a number of features, however, including a room with a pool table, a pool, a large activity room, horseshoe pits, a laundry room and shuffle board. There's a golf course right next to the campground. There are also cottages for rent here and what seemed to be some long-term residents. The restrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained. All in all a nice campground very close to the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Well kept up park, it may be old but I couldn't really tell from the little time I spent in the common areas. RV site size (smaller) and layout (tight) do indicate the days when big rigs were rare. Still a nice place to stay, while tight we didn't have any issues maneuvering a 40 footer. Sites are close but level gravel with an asphalt patio. Looks like long-term (owners?) got the best shade. Pull-thrus have no vegetation. Very friendly helpful staff. Ok facilities but for us wifi was pretty much nonexistent. Great Verizon signal tho. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

We chose this park over others in the area as it had a slightly better rating. The park is showing its age. It's a shame as the park layout works well for the perms, snowbirds and short term guests. It is a very friendly community. The staff were friendly and flexible as we turned a 2 night stay into 5 which included a weekend. The main item they need to fix is the internet. At present they only offer internet @ the office even though you can see towers throughout the site and observe various listings that used to work. The shape and size of the park should make this easy. We would however use the park again if in the area as it is convenient to Joshua Tree National Park and close to other services. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The golf next door is under new ownership and they appear to have a giant task to get the course back in shape. We played it but most of the greens are clumpy vegetation and most grass on the fairways was brown.

We stayed here for a month while visiting our son before he deploys. We paid $450 plus electricty (about $50 for the month). The park is older and it does show. But the current owners are making an effort to maintain and repair things. The resort is adjacent to a 9 hole golf course. Definitely not Augusta National but they're trying to green up the fairways and lots of guests play daily. There's also plenty of activities like ice cream socials, golf tournies and pot lucks. The pool and spa are older but they work just fine. There is a nice fitness room and the laundry has a fair amount of machines and when they break, they are fixed. The sites have everything you'd expect. Power is good to go but the water pressure is only about 30-35 psi. Sites are gravel and generally level with an asphalt toad parking pad and picnic table. Not huge but definitely not cramped. Staff is friendly and helpful. They pick up trash at your site each morning, will pickup, fill and return loose propane tanks and there is 24-hour security. Road noise can be heard but not much traffic at night. No wifi at the sites and no cable. Not much shade either. But you can't get much closer to Joshua Tree NP. Out favorite park so far. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

There is shopping and good food in 29 Palms, but better shopping in Yucca Valley 20 miles away and great dining an hour away in Palm Springs. And don't forget to check out Amboy and the Amboy Crater.

Very tight sites with vehicles parallel parked across from site. Had to park our truck on the patio, no other place to park. Staff was rude at check in: sent us out to get trailer plate number, then when we gave to him he said he did not need it.

Overall the place is old and run down: way over priced. Will never return here. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here primarily to visit Joshua Tree National Park. This park is very near to the north entrance for the park. We had a pull through site with 50 amp electric, water and sewer. The site surface was gravel and there was a small asphalt patio, no picnic table or fire pit. There is an indoor pool but we didn't make use of it. They have WiFi but it is only available at their office or in an adjacent game room but it was fairly slow. If you're going to have limited access it should be higher quality. The men's bathroom was not cleaned very well and was poorly supplied. Frequently there was no toilet paper or paper towel available. However, my wife said that she had no issues with the ladies restroom. We paid $41 per night on a weekly rate. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Motorhome.

Definitely NOT a "resort". This is a below average park that is a parking lot with a few sad trees. Gravel rig parking, asphalt area with picnic table. Old, barely maintained and just sad. Plenty of room to have tow rig and second car but they wouldn't allow it - $25 for extra car and overflow parking was far from our site. Next to a water treatment facility (which you can't see but can sometimes smell). Golf course next door but 29 Palms is a seemingly dying town so again, just a sad place to be. Joshua Tree and Yucca are much better so go there instead! We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This have stayed here a few times. On the edge of town, a few miles from the northeast entrance to Joshua Tree NP. Easy in/out. Gravel and asphalt, not dirt, so no dust. Good utilities except wifi is only available at the office. Good Verizon coverage. Some shade. There's always fewer picnic tables than sites, so you may have to relocate a table. Nice indoor pool and hot tub but we've never used them. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This is not my favorite kind of park, but it worked well for this stop. Having easy access to Joshua Tree State Park was our main goal. The park was easy in and out for our 40' fifth wheel. Lots of pull thrus. We also drive a car and had to pay extra $7 a day to have it here. It's a clean park, they pick up your garbage every morning, have a very large laundry room, 1.75 washers, $1.00 dryers. The park is pretty plain, esp where pull thrus are. Would stay here again if passing through, but not to stay any length of time.. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
