Oct 2018 - $65.00
We stay here every October to attend the dog show held at the fairgrounds. They have fixed up the buildings since our stay one year ago, but the sites remain the same. Uneven lumpy un-mown grass with a zillion flies. No fire ring or picnic table. These sites should go for $35-$40 per night, not $65. As we were getting ready to pull out the last morning, I was taking a shower when the water pressure went from very low to none at all. Turned out that the City of Pleasanton was doing work on the water lines; there would be no water for two hours. They neglected to tell anyone this; supposedly the City didn't tell them, but that's pretty unlikely. They did allow us to stay later than the check out time, until the water was on, so we could flush tanks, etc. - MarvMarvs

The RV park is located within the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, CA. The park has back-in and pull through full hook up sites. The driveways are asphalt and site pads are either grass or dirt/gravel. There's nothing special here but it's quiet with plenty of open space within the fairgrounds. There is WiFi which we found to be generally good and reliable. The bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. There's plenty of nearby shopping and there is a BART station not far away in Dublin. We paid $50.50 per night for a 50amp back-in site. - Coopsecondact
Jan 2018 - $60.00
Other reviewers have provided comments that I can second regarding side by side hooks, narrowness of sites, etc. Visually the "park" is a mess. They clearly do not enforce their 21 day max stay rule and many sites show "untidy" sites (and that is generous). The office staff was pleasant. It was quiet at night. I could only receive emails (not send) on their internet and have never encountered that before. Would we return, yes, reluctantly since it's the only game in town! - rncordy

Aug 2018 - $25.00
There are very few RV parks or campgrounds in the San Francisco East Bay area. We needed a place to stay for a couple of months while recovering from surgery. This park is located in the San Joaquin Delta, half way between Antioch and Rio Vista, and is a great option in this area of California, especially for larger RVs. After the two-mile drive in on a narrow levee road, you're greeted with palm trees and wide sites, entirely done in concrete pavers. New managers really know what they're doing here. The park is very well kept and a safe place to stay, for a night...a week or longer. Rate indicated reflects the monthly rate of $700. This is our third stay at Rio Viento, and we will definitely return. Be aware that the wind blows here, which is why it's a destination for windsurfers, and they're fun to watch on the river right across the road from the park. - Ron and Dee
Aug 2017 - $40.00
The road, after you leave Hwy 160 is a Levy Road which is very narrow.....no it is extremely narrow. If you like the wind this is the place for you. It seems to be a great place for wind surfing but I don't. Wouldn't ever stay their again. - RvStarShip
Jun 2017 - $40.00
This is a very nice campground that is out in the middle of nowhere. Access is down a long narrow bumpy levee road. The campground is very clean, with large, level, easy back-in sites. We were in a site that backed up to the levee. We could walk up to the top of the levee, cross the narrow road and be at the edge of the river. There are benches placed along the rivers edge. We were able to watch boats and windsurfers on the river. It can get very windy here. We used this location to visit my daughter in Walnut Creek, which was about a 30 minute drive from the campground. Crossing the Antioch bridge from south of the campground is a $5 toll for 2 axels. If you are towing a trailer it becomes $20. We aproached the campground from I5 and then cut over on the 12 and avoided the toll with the trailer. We had AT&T signal, there is no wifi or other amenities in the campground. The people that checked us in were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again. - corgi1

Jul 2017 - $106.00
The only good thing to say about this park is its proximity to downtown. This was our 3rd and last visit. Over a 7 year period, the owner has not made one noticeable improvement. In fact, it has gotten worst. The park is not big rig friendly. This was our first visit with our 40' and we had to try 3 sites before we were able to squeeze in between 2 backins. When we extended our full slide out, we were inches from the coaches on both sides. Parking is a real problem for tows. There are several long term units that are disgusting. They do not follow the rules pertaining to nose, working on vehicles, junk and walking pets. We even saw a rat around one of the end sites that was littered with junk. If you get stuck in the back, there is a construction company across the fence with lots of noise and dust. The park rule is to walk your dog outside the park. The walk outside the park is so littered with dog poop, we would not walk our dogs along the sidewalk. - Michael47
Jun 2017 - $99.00
On the up side, it's very close (a few miles) and about 30 minutes into SF. On the down side, sites are too close together (closer than any we have had in Key West), not long enough for a "big rig", all blacktop (no grass or shade). The place is right next to a construction site, right next to an abandoned park and right next to the defunct ball field. The price is outrageous for a place to park and sleep. And people live here. - NJPB
Jan 2017 - $99.00
It is a blacktop park. No grass or trees and the spaces are very tight. You have all you can do to squeeze between two other campers. There is not enough room for slide outs. No tables or fire pits. When it rains the lots flooded. Very expensive for what you get. No cable but wifi when you could get it in. - PWMW

Mar 2016 - $25.00
The park itself sits on a quiet delta but be cautious of the road it is really neglected and there is a very large rise between the lower and levy road. Enter from the north end of the levy road not the one closest to the Antioch bridge. Mostly grassy sites with open views of the surrounding delta. A few days before we expected to arrive I called to make a reservation, offered up my credit card to secure it and the reservation agent said she didn't want our credit card information, only asking for out name and phone number. The length of our RV and how many in our party. Arrived at the park late-afternoon and no one was present so we proceeded into park. I walked up to front to search for a host to be met by a gentleman telling us they are booked solid through the 1st. I tell him we have a reservation to which he replies "we'll see about that". Save yourself a trip to this RV park if you have a conversion; management does not accept bus conversions or similar 'vintage' but well-maintained camping units. - N West
Jun 2014 - $15.00
Staff is friendly and they also are very helpful. Except for the wind and birds, there is no noise at the park but people driving off. I enjoyed the quiet and the people. Spaces are either in full sunlight or nestled in the tall trees. My spot had a tree that grew alongside the spot, so it was tricky backing into the site. Lots of birds, so bird droppings can be a problem. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Rate is for monthly rate. Stayed 3 months. - Woolibaar
Nov 2010 - $48.00
The rate includes our small boat being docked. This is a pretty nice park/location as the Delta goes. I probably would not come here unless you had another reason to be on this area of the Delta. Gravel sites with good shade and large, mature trees. The sites on either side of us were open, but if they were occupied, there wouldn't have been a lot of room. It gets very windy even though the sites are lower than the levee. The road in is a very narrow levee road. The entrance to the road closer to the Antioch Bridge has a very steep narrow turn. The road coming in from near the Sherman/Brannan Island drawbridge is better. The owners were very helpful and friendly. - sigepsb

Sep 2016 - $40.00
Nice state park, convenient access to the Delta. - JohnnyCash
Apr 2014 - $48.00
Great location and facilities but the people running the area don't answer phone nor do they return calls when you leave a message. Most of the time there was nobody in office at front gate to ask questions either. Fees are ambiguous; extra cars some signs say $8/night, others signs and people say $10/night. RV sites very close to each other and very small. Trees blocked exit out of RV area so i had to back out so I didn't damage my trailer. Tree also blocked access to dump station. People running place came by camp and rudely stated we must move a car parked on lawn, and couldn't wait for me to finish dinner before he "called in re-enforcements" to get us to move the car. All I wanted to do was finish my dinner. This was after the same people had driven by camp 5-6 times before and seen the same car parked there for the last 1.5 days and said nothing. - Toyhauler Comping
May 2011 - $40.00
We stayed in this park for one night on very short notice. We were fortunate and got a site with electric and water hookup. We found it very quiet, pleasant and enjoyable. It is on the Sacramento delta and the area is known for being windy. Be forewarned; awnings and other external equipment will be put to the test. There is no store on the site, but the town of Rio Vista is just 3 miles to the north and has supermarkets with just about everything you could need. They do have boat launching ramps and the fishing on the delta seems pretty good. We'd camp here again. - neuronz

Feb 2019 - $83.00
People are parked beyond the lines all over this park. Spaces are 90 degrees to the road. These two factors make backing in (only option) a test for even skilled drivers. As a CDL driver, this is not a place I would pick again. Having to maneuver around a vehicle in the driveway and into a space made even smaller by a poorly placed power pole, was less than relaxing. The guy with his Jeep came out to offer to move after I was in the space.
The showers are dated and need a good cleaning, but otherwise nice. The shower heads are like gym shower heads with one powerful setting. - Pfmarine1
Nov 2018 - $83.00
This is our 2nd stay at Marin RV Park, and our impression is that the facility is well-managed, safe, fairly-priced for a Bay area RV park, and seems to attract an ever smaller number of over-nighters and a growing number of long-term residents. It's located a few miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and a short walk from the Larkspur Ferry terminal - which has direct service to the San Francisco waterfront. The CGs PROs are singular - it has NO competition - if your goal is to secures a safe CG - with direct access by HWY #101 or ferry to SF and less than a 30 minute drive to Muir Woods and Point Reyes. The CGs CONs are 24/7 freeway noise and most sites are so narrow that deploying RV slides may be difficult and sitting outside is a NO GO! Park provided internet was adequate. Our site's cable TV connection did not function, but we were able to deploy our DISH satellite. Surprisingly, our Verizon cell service only had 2-bars. YES, despite the CONs we will return again when visiting the BAY area. - Kona Boy
Jun 2018 - $106.00
Very expensive but convenient to ferry to go over to San Francisco (walking distance). Sites are very narrow and close together. Slide outs don't work well at all since sites are so small. The office staff was outstanding and very helpful. Internet worked well. - Jhiggins

Oct 2011 - $33.00
Location was OK with access to shops and the ferry terminal. There's no spare space capacity, but the place would benefit from some additional facilities such as things for kids. The hosts were quite informative. - JAMESOPH
May 2011 - $40.00
This park is all about location. Easy access to wide variety of shopping and simple access to the Larkspur Ferry Terminal offering travel to the entire San Francisco Bay Area. A visit here is not about the beauty of the park, it's about visiting the San Francisco area. Some long-term residents offered no ill affects: park is quiet and to the point. Excellent and stable Wi-Fi. Hosts very helpful and informative. - CasaRoll
Mar 2011 - $40.00
It would be generous to call this place anything but a dump. The only redeeming features were the LOCATION (within walking/biking distance of Larkspur Ferry to San Francisco. Excellent Wi-Fi (Through Tengo) and full hook-up where everything worked and worked well. This is not a Campground as such. It is a Parking Lot for RVs & Campers. At $40/night PLUS TAXES it is a very expensive Parking Lot. Some serious effort needs to happen before I would rate this place above a one. Desperate people do desperate things. Like Stay Here. - Saskanna
